I have gone to Kristi for Brazilian waxing, wraps, and dermaplane services. I was very stressed about the waxing. I am somewhat shy and definitely do not have a high pain tolerance. She made me feel very comfortable and I liked the type of wax she used (which was NOT the type where a cloth is placed on top of the wax and then ripped off)- I swear it was really not that painful. So, little pain and making me comfortable gets her a two thumbs up on the wax! I tried the dermaplane and wrap on my second visit. The dermaplane made me nervous at first because it is a very sharp blade and I didn't really know anything about it. However, I LOVED it!! It is a process that scrapes off all the dead skin and fine hairs on your face. I was nervous that the hair would grow back course but, after several times, this has never happened. I have my mom and sisters going for this amazing treatment now, too! It just leaves you with super soft and radiant skin. The wrap is also awesome. I am not going to lie, I don't love the process of waiting for an hour in the tight bandages moving around while the wrap does it's magic- but I love putting on my jeans when the bandages are taken off because they are LOOSE!!! Also, Kristi is pretty entertaining during that hour and has a good playlist which makes it fun. Bottom line- I really love It's a Girl Thing. Kristi is super nice and does a great job at a really reasonable price. It's a Girl Thing is a great thing, for me! read more

I suffer from Hairy-man syndrome. Not sure why the hair is migrating from my scalp, but something had to be done. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I reluctantly went to see if Kristi could help my evolving Sasquatch look. I had her wax my nose and ears. She put me at ease and her personality and sense of humor made this much easier. When she finished, my ears and nose looked normal, which was a nice change. Here is the unexpected benefit...I didn't realize how much that nose hair affected my breathing. I suffer from sleep apnea and sleep with a CPAP machine every night. The type of mask I use is actually a nose pillow which fits into my nostrils and forces air down and basically prevents me from dying in my sleep. I always had trouble with this device, as it would not get air-tight. The first night after getting my nostrils waxed, I was amazed at how much my breathing improved and the nose pillow became air-tight for the first time. This review is for a Lash-Lift/Fix by Laura S. I had recently gotten a lash lift at different place and it turned out to be a disaster. Some of my lashes were curling back all the way back, they literary looked like a tight C! My other lashes were crossing in front of each other so it was nearly impossible to get them to look nice with mascara. Anyways, I couldn't go back and give the other place an opportunity to fix them as I was scared that wasn't going to happen, so when I found this place I decided to give them a try. I emailed them on Friday night, had a response and appointment scheduled by Saturday morning. I'm definitely glad I contacted them. Not only did Laura do an amazing job fixing the mess I had but I can finally wear mascara again and my lashes look perfectly curled and long (even though they are not). I just got my second set of volume eyelashes by Lara. I can't say enough about her and the work that she does. I have had other eye lash extensions, and there is by far no comparison at all. First of all, she does the service 1 1/2 hours or less. Lara's efficiency, nimble fingers, eye, hand coordination, and expertise, is by far worth the trip to go see her. Lara has passion and conviction about her work, and it shows with every person who comes out of her office. I have seen her work on two other people, and the transformation is unbelievable. I love going to It's a Girl Thing! It's a very professional and cute office, which makes it very comfortable to get very personal services done. Lara is the only person I will go to get a Brazilian wax done. The wax they use is amazing! I prefer getting a dermaplane over microderm any day. I especially recommend getting your eyelashes done. I had never gotten them done prior to coming to IGT and it was so amazing to have full lashes like you see in the magazines. I've been getting them for over a year and I'd follow IAGT anywhere they go! They are really reasonably priced and I get compliments all the time.
