When we arrived at the store, she had gift-wrapped the Jellycats for my daughter and her friend, and even added a cute pink helium balloon to make it extra fun. She had asked me her fav color the day before we arrived- talk about going above and beyond to help us with the surprise! Such a thoughtful touch and a really beautiful shop. Mackenzie was working the day we came in, and she was just the sweetest! I highly recommend supporting this small business and we will certainly be back next time we're in town.

Tonight Doc got us reservations for a Speakeasy Mystery Crawl in Nashville. The COLD night air confirmed I better buy a black coat to match the new black dress since they have a dress code. Thankfully I found a bedazzled light weight black coat for $30, bling earrings and a ring to get into the mood for this evening's 7:30 pm event. This shop did not have that musty smell like Goodwill or Savers. We'd shop for music or Big Sky bears ages ago but not clothes. I think watching Twilight Zone in my school age years gave me the Willie's of wearing someone else's clothes. Hub's aunty even told them she had nightmares with her own mom's clothes when she passed. Hopefully the one sage bundle i saw in the shop will be cleansing enough with my purchases. Hubs stayed in the car with Grandpup and Doc decided to go next door and treated us to coffee. I keep running into issues with the sizing and selection of clothes so haven't been able to find anything that worked to return on previous purchase. The other top I bought for $60 has shrunk after one wash and no longer fits. So many items are way too cropped or transparent. I think the quality here has gone way down. I also purchased a denim skirt with shorts under thinking the shorts would help with the length of the skirt. Because of the return policy, I don't have the option to dispute the transaction from my credit card since I've had to use store credit.

The Shoppes on Fatherland are a eclectic assortment of small retail spots with a few food/drink…read morespots along with service oriented shops mixed in. The blocks occupied feel like its own little community in the middle of the bigger city. It definitely has it's own vibe and is uniquely East Nashville. When we are in East, we normally make it point to stop in a shop or two. International Coffee, Galena Garlic and Adobe Mercantile are usually spots we frequent when wandering around, and Gift Horse is a cool place for a quirky or local gift for folks. Food wise, Maru and East Creamery are always on point and hit the spot! Hours of each shop differ, so make sure you look specifically at the hours of the places you want to visit. There is no real consistency amongst the shops from an overall hours perspective, which can be a tad frustrating. Parking is a bit wonky as well, nothing really dedicated at all times. There are a few pay lots nearby and street parking is plentiful in the area. Overall, Shoppes on Fatherland is a cool East community and is a good spot to spend a little time when you have nothing going on. It's always an after or before dinner/drink place for us.

I made an online order on June 4... it's June 18 and it still hasn't even left the ABLE warehouse…read more I didn't receive any heads-up or explanation for the delay until I reached out to customer support for an update. At one point I was told my order would ship by June 13. It didn't ship at all, and customer support once again didn't follow up to let me know. I am not sure if and when I will receive my items. Unacceptable and unnecessary.

I inadvertently purchased an ABLE product through Nordstrom. I say inadvertently because I had no…read moreidea I wasn't purchasing the item from Nordstrom itself. When I tried to return it to Nordstrom, I was told it was outside the ABLE return window and they had no authority to override the policy. They suggested I contact ABLE directly. I did and was told Nordstrom, and their system, was the problem and I should contact them. ABLE's response puts me--the customer--in the middle and makes it impossible to resolve this issue. And, after many years of excellent customer service from Nordstrom, I suspect ABLE and not Nordstrom is the problem. To be clear, I was responsible for knowing the seller of the item I purchased and their return policy. I did not; my fault. But, when I contacted them, if ABLE had confirmed their policy and graciously refused the return, I would have been unhappy but I would have respected their response and continued purchasing their products, being more careful in the future of their return policy. As it is, I will avoid their products; customer service is everything.
