There are plenty of pre-cut pumpkins too if you'd rather just pick one that way (and take some cute pics). The wood-fired pizza was SO good and fairly priced. We really enjoyed the salsiccia pie, but all of them sounded delicious. And had to get a half dozen cider donuts for the road, obviously. I absolutely love this set up even more than the last location! There is so much for kids to do here and lots for adults too. We picked our pumpkins for the season and considering the amount of people here, there were still many great looking pumpkins. The lines were too long for the donuts/food so I didn't get to try any but I am hoping to eventually try the cider donut in the future! Definitely bring your friends and family here to check out the Hall Family Farm. Side note- I know the Halls from many years ago and they are a wonderful family! I've been to CHF three times for produce. The peaches are good depending on the variety, some are…read morejust better than others so it depends on when you are going what will be ripe. The green beans, okra, squash, zuchinni is good. The corn is a little hit and miss. Go early in the day for the best and don't go on Saturday when it's so busy. The only negative I have is the tomatoes. All of them are picked green so they have a mealy texture and hard white parts inside. Last Saturday the tomatoes were on sale 2 pecks for $18 which seemed like a bargain but wasn't. More than half of the tomatoes were green and most of those rotted before they ripened. I think they were rolled off of a truck onto a conveyor belt or into a bin and were severely bruised. Skip the tomatoes. Everything else is really good, they serve food on the weekends, and they have a great little shop for canned goods. The ice cream is only ok. I prefer lemon that tastes like lemon and orange that tastes like orange. All in all, it's a fun place to go for a country drive.

There is a big parking lot- but be careful, the driveway to get in is really narrow and only one car fits through at a time. There is no admission fee and it is free to walk around. You also don't need reservations. There is cornhole, picnic tables to sit at, a gift shop with local good slike honey and apples, a coffee truck, a lemonade truck and popcorn for sale. There are pumpkins everywhere of different shapes and sizes available for purchase in addition to gourds and mums. We bought a mum and it was $15. There are plenty of photo opportunities and a garden to walk around in. There is also a lot of space for kids to run around in. For an additional fee, there is a wagon ride you can take that will take you to see farm animals but we didn't do this. All in all, not as many activities in my opinion as some of the other pumpkin patches around town, but I did like how close it is to town compared to some of the other pumpkin patch options and it was super cute! The wind made it colder on the pumpkin side of the farm and unfortunately they didn't have warm apple cider. I expected them to have something warm that kids could drink (non coffee). This is designated a Century Farm, which Charlene explained to me that they can prove it's been in the same family more than a century!!They've got records going back to at least 1897!!!! How fabulous! The kindness and feeling like you're part of their story was priceless! They have so many homemade local products!! The prices are great and the selection is wide!! The service is like you're a guest at their home! Today we were there for strawberries, but I also got a TShirt, Wildflower local honey, pickled okra and a homemade almond pound cake (It is their grandmother's recipe). Can't wait to have a slice with strawberries and whipped cream on top!! I also can't wait to visit next time I'm in town!
