Fall activities. These are fun for kids and adults!

The Lever family is so kind and they have created an amazing business for the community. We went in October to pick our own pumpkins, although they are also open for pick-your-own-strawberries in the spring. From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with the hospitality of this family. We were guided into a parking lot and Mrs. Lever gave us an overview of the activities. For $6, you get to do the educational wagon ride (tractor ride), corn maze, corn pit, pumpkin toss, hopper balls, hay mountain, and cattle hoop activities. The first thing we did was the educational wagon ride with Mr. Lever, who gave some background on the farm and showed us the bees, animals, strawberry plants, and the troublesome peach trees. The wagon ride provided some nice insight into the life of a farmer and the struggles (and joys) that come with it. Next, we picked our pumpkins from the patch. It was difficult to choose which to pick because all the pumpkins had such a nice color and were in great condition. I liked being able to actually pick your pumpkin from the vine. You can also purchase some of the pre-picked pumpkins up front if picking is not your thing! The pumpkins are 40 cents per pound, which is a great deal. The Levers also sell their own pork and a variety of jams/jellies. Note that they only accept cash and check. This place is a must visit for families! I will absolutely be back next fall.

It's a small family farm and they are always super nice. The strawberry fields are well maintained. It's not as large as some other places we've been, but we like that. There were a few muddy spots which was advertised and we had rain recently, but the paths were easy to walk. It was a busy day so they told us we would have to look under leaves to find the ripe berries. We still ended up with 2 lbs of berries and my daughter enjoyed. They tasted delicious, too. It was $4 per pound when we visited and they had jams and other products available. My daughter's favorite part is visiting the animals. They have some chickens and goats that are easy to get to. Sometimes they have corn out you can feed them with or you can bring some food to feed them. There's also a sink to wash hands after. Be careful with your strawberries or take them to the car first. I was taking a photo and a goat started to grab my bucket of strawberries. Lol. We haven't been to their fall event but love the smaller feel for strawberries. They post updates and info on their social media channels.

There's lots of activities, photo opps and pumpkins to peruse. But in comparison to another spot we've been to we felt like there were some options missing for us personally. This isn't a knock to Hodges, just a personal preference. Now, if you have family in town and kiddos in tow this place is PERFECT! I would definitely recommend it for a fun fall time. Parking was easy, even on a super busy Saturday. There's plenty of signage so you know what's going on in all areas. The animals were pretty cool inside the barn too.

Still lots of photo opps all around the farm. We were able to do participate in some new things since it was the weekend; like their Hayrides/Tractor Ride. The line was never not long but it was something to do. The ride itself is about 15 minutes and takes you around the farm. We grabbed some popcorn before getting on it though. It's freshly popped and so delicious! We also go to visit the petting area and feed some of the goats, sheep, cows and rabbits. Our toddlers had a blast! Good family fun for the fall season. && I got a funnel cake before we left (topping choices powder sugar, Carmel, chocolate, and strawberry syrup). The wind made it colder on the pumpkin side of the farm and unfortunately they didn't have warm apple cider. I expected them to have something warm that kids could drink (non coffee). Tips: Bring a blanket for inside the wagon. Don't wear your nice shoes. Bring a tripod or stand for photos.

There was no corn maize due to lack of rain but they conveniently didn't mention that even though we specifically asked. The kiddie area was much smaller than expected- most of the fishing poles were in disrepair and that day they had a group of obnoxious scout groups that were loud and aggressive with our little ones trying to also enjoy the different attractions We paid for two fire pits that was suppose to seat up to 50 and not hardly if it weren't for our Group bringing their own chairs it would have been a real challenge to seat 50 Their roasted corn is tasty and their general store cute but we came for a cornmaze and bonfire and really only got 1

Aw Shucks was one of the many barns they looked at but ended up being the winner and was highly talked about to us before we even arrived to the premises. The hype was real! The barn was absolutely gorgeous inside and out, (with full working A/C I might add!). The entire grounds is HUGE, there is a well constructed fire pit to sit around, and the area in the back where the marriage ceremony took place was properly shaded and well decorated. You can explore by walking around and there are little shops you can get adorable gifts from, try some yummy ice cream, or take instagram worthy pictures. The workers we encountered throughout our busy filled night were all extremely friendly and helpful. The outdoor bathrooms are the perfect setup and are actually the most fancy mobile bathrooms Ive ever seen lol. Thank you for making a friends wedding more than memorable. But hear me out!! It's definitely worth it. Buckle up, this might be long. We visited on a Saturday morning for the Fall Festival & Candy Dump. We arrived around opening (10am). The parking lot is very large and convenient to the entrance. The check-in staff members were so welcoming and friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. The pumpkins were set up at the entrance. There are also a few cute places to take pictures near the entrance. From there, the sky is the limit. We started at the tricycle racetrack then moved to the playground, which has plenty of benches for adults to watch their little ones. Then we moved to the Sand Hill. My kiddos loved all the dump trucks and the sit-on diggers. My husband and I had a quick game of basketball before moving to one of the blow-up slides. While waiting for the wagon ride , we visited the animal pens. My boys loved petting the cow, horse and sheep and seeing the turkey and chickens. For a small cost, you can purchase feed for the animals. Thankfully, they have a hand washing station onsite. The wagon ride is included in the ticket price and was a nice length; not too long & not too short. We had just enough time to visit the corn barn and grab a snack from their concession house. In my opinion, everything was decently priced. Service was quick and the food/drinks were hot. The candy dump was better than we could have imagined. They were kind enough to provide bags for the kiddos. The farm's owner offered a few warm words of appreciation then they loaded up the diggers. Although there were a lot of kids there, they spread the candy out so it didn't feel overwhelming. My toddlers had a blast and the older kids were so kind and patient with them. We left after the candy dump (my kids were exhausted ). There was so much we still didn't get to. They have a corn maze, an excavator slide, more bounce houses, a train and more. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. And did I mention, my kids were TIRED!! We'll definitely be back.

Although, it was easy to make a reservation and there were a lot of time slots to choose from. This included seeing the animals (goats, pigs and bunnies), walking in the flower fields (a sunflower field and colorful flowers), the playground and taking photos. The playground really was not much and I think older kids would've gotten bored easily. For an extra fee, there is a corn pit to play in, a wagon ride and a train ride for kids. We did not do these. There wasn't a ton of places for photo ops, but there were some. They have a shop with goods for sale as well as some snacks and drinks like apple cider, slushies, apple cider donuts, alcohol, etc. We went the weekend after Halloween, so there weren't many pumpkins to see/choose from, but if we went earlier in the season I'm guessing there would have been. On the opposite side of the property, there was a Thai restaurant and a shop that served ice cream and alcohol. There were plenty of picnic tables and even a couple TV's showing football. This was a bit of a walk to get to, though. They also have pizza which you have to order ahead of time with your reservation if interested, but I've heard great things about the pizza. Keep in mind it is only porta johns, like many pumpkin patches. All in all, not my favorite pumpkin patch in the area, I questioned why we needed a reservation and to pay, it really didn't include much, but I'm wondering if we would've had a different experience if we went earlier in the season.
