So I pivoted and found a piece that would work. The store is tidily laid out and has just about everything you could possibly need for your home improvement project from lights to tiles to power tools. There is a ton of lumber (check it carefully - it is sometimes stored outside and gets rained on), hardware, kitchen appliances and toilets. If you have the skills, they have the stuff you can turn loose on your house. Or for me, van. If you can do your shopping at a more local hardware store like Blackhawk Hardware, please do. But today I'm in Steele Creek and this was convenient or I would have gone there. The new lumber I needed ended up working out well, possibly even better than what I had originally planned. We went up the street to Lowe's Home Improvement. They advertised next day delivery!! We happily purchased our refrigerator from them and it was delivered less than 24 hours after we purchased it. I ended up not liking the flooring I had anticipated coming in to buy and then the second option I wanted wasn't in stock so it took a while to pick something I liked that would also fit our lifestyle (aka scratch resistant, waterproof, less slippery, not too dark, no grey hues, not too light!). He was patient and very sweet with my dogs. My contractor wasn't responding regarding a time to schedule delivery so I planned to call and order over the phone the next day however the Home Depot system wouldn't allow me to when I tried. If it wasn't for Nathan, I would have ordered online at this point but I gave up $115 in Capital One rewards so that I could go BACK to the store later in the week to order in person and give my $2800 business to the actual location since he had been so helpful.
