We had to say goodbye to our dog this past week, and the team here showed incredible compassion. They gave us all the time we needed and made sure he was comfortable, even bringing him a little charcuterie board of treats. Would give 0 stars if i could. Been going here for 10+ years. Dropped off our dog for a teeth cleaning this morning at 7:45AM. At 2:30, we called them because we hadn't heard anything. They informed us that they hadn't even STARTED on her cleaning. 6 hours she was there, and they did absolutely nothing. NOTHING. Due to the procedure she didn't have any food or water since the night before. We decided to go and pick her up, since she wouldn't be done for multiple hours, and hadnt had any food/water since yesterday. I arrived around 3pm to pick her up. I'm not a confrontational person but i felt the need to say something, because this unacceptable. The owner FOLLOWED ME OUT TO MY CAR to lecture me on why she couldn't have food/water. I know, i'm not stupid. There is NO reason why they couldn't have called to tell us they were running late, or to update us, my sweet dog was stuck in a crate for 6 hours, for no reason cause they didn't even do anything. She is visibly distressed, still hasn't ate or drank anything since being home, and is not acting like herself at all. You guys are horrible. Treating an animal poorly is a different kind of sick. Absolutely the worst service. A receptionist had screwed up something on the schedule for my appointment. Dr. Weekes was "gracious" enough to fit me in but not without coming out of the office and berating me first. All I wanted to know was if he'd be able to write the health certificates like I had requested on the phone, and he just blew up. He blamed the scheduling mistake on me, basically called me a liar, and said, "I'm sorry if I don't seem caring right now, but I'm going to be here until 10pm tonight and I don't have time for this." I was speechless that a veterinarian could talk to a client that way, so all I could manage was a shocked "..wow." And he says, "wow, WHAT?" Even if it had been my mistake, and it WASN'T, that is NO WAY to speak to a customer. What happened to the customer is always right?? The next day, I went back for the health certificates and he almost yelled at me AGAIN. I had to calm HIM down by speaking in a placating manner. What the f***ing hell?! He was unprofessional beyond belief. My friend, who'd been a client here for years and witness this whole thing, was so humiliated that she had referred me to him and has now found another vet as well. And apparently, this happens more often than my friend had known. I could never trust a loose cannon of a man with my animals ever again. read more

Convinient location, especially for duvallians. Good price for the service. I used this clinic even when I was living in Redmond. Dr. Weeks is very professional and all staff are kind and patient. One thing that I do not like (but understand) - I usually spend there more time than I plan to. They get a lot of clients as emergency appointment so the schedule moves. But it's good to know that my cats can get help exactly when they need it even if I didn't make an appointment for them in advance. read more

This place is great! I am not their "regular" client and came across this facility in a time of emergency for my Labrador puppy this weekend. I was hiking nearby, and after my Labrador had collapsed on the trail and could not get up, I called Cherry Valley Veterinary Hospital once I returned to my car. I searched, "vet hospitals" and just went down the list that Google provided. I called 2 other facilities and they immediately turned me away. When I called Cherry Valley, Kenna answered the phone, she was pleasant, professional and friendly. After having me wait for a short moment, she told me, "We'd be happy to help you. Get here as soon as you can & we'll be waiting for you." When I arrived (less than 15 min.), she met me at the door, and physically carried my Labrador puppy (about a year old & 60 lbs.) inside. Soon after, Dr. Schultz came out to talk with me. She was also friendly, kind, and professional. The staff that was there, were all great too. They took care of my dog on their lunch hour, and made me feel like, "I was one of their regular clients." They just took care of what needed to be done in the emergency situation that my dog was in. I'm really grateful to them for being so welcoming and kind to someone that they've never had history with. I wasn't formally introduced, but I believe Dr. Weekes was also there attending to my dog along with Dr. Schultz. I am very thankful for the staff there (Jan & Alicia - brief interactions with them but very friendly and professional). I don't live in Duvall but if I did, I would be happy with this veterinary hospital for the care of my dogs. read more

We love Cherry Valley. We had to have my beloved dog of 12 years put down a few months back. The office was so accommodating and let us be there at the end of her life which prior to Covid wouldn't be a big deal. No one judged me for laying next to her and crying as the drugs to end her life were administrated. We have also rescued a cat and another dog and a kitten within the time of having our animals treated with CV. Every time we bring a new pet into our home we trust CV with giving them a thorough exam, they often waive charges because our animals are rescues. They do every thing they can to accommodate and we just appreciate having such a loving vet office. Bottom line, I've never felt price gouged and trust in DR. a Lance Weeks and his staff. Our loyalty to Dr. Weeks for the care of our four dogs is over. We hope sharing our experience will be helpful to those considering using this Vet. Dr. Weeks took for granted our familiarity as his loyal customers and behaved astoundingly unprofessionally towards us over a simple misunderstanding. Without taking time to fact-check beforehand, we were greeted in the exam room, after a 40 minute wait, by a condescending, combative and beligerant attitude from Dr.Weeks. It was unreal. Unable to proceed with his obvious aggitation and contempt owards us, we inquired what was going on. Dr Weeks stated he was told by a member of his staff we requested to see another Vet for this appointment and was "highly upset by the disloyalty after all I've done for you ". We were taken back. Regardless of how grossly misinformed he was, his behavior toward us was very unprofessional and highly disrespectful. We called to book the appointment a week earlier. The receptionist informed us we would be seeing their temporary vet as Weeks would be out on vacation. One of our dogs needed to see a vet so we continued with the appointment. We did not initiate a request to see another Doctor. As we tried to clarify the matter, we asked he show us more courtesy. Dr. Weeks escalated with childish defensiveness and refused to apologize when the facts came to light. We proceded with the uncomfortable appointment with continued contempt from Dr. Weeks. He made no effort to regain rapport and our trust. We have been loyal customers for years, with 4 dogs of variying ages and health issues, we gave Dr. Weeks tens of thousands of dollars of our business. We are responsible customers; paying immediately and in-full for very expensive procedures and tests and following Dr.'s Orders to the letter. Our loyalty to him, and our patience, was generous. We accommodated often superfluous tests and overlooked his unprofessional attitude many times. We tolerated, without objection, many expensive procedures and office visits only to be misdiagnosed on several occasions. Out of respect, we deferred to Dr. Weeks' recommended care for our dogs, which often only amounted to serving his bottom line. We never received one "thank you" when we wrote the checks. Not one, simple "thank you". An example of several costly mistakes we paid for under Dr. Weeks': One of our dogs started to have nose bleeds. Dr. Weeks initially prescribed antibiotics stating it was a bacteria infection. After no improvement and what we later learned were unnecessary tests, the nose bleeds continued without improvement. It turned out she had nasal cancer. We lost previous time with her ad a result of Dr Weeks' incorrect diagnoses. Her cancer was diagnosed immediately in a solitary appointment (without previous medical history records) by Cascade Animal Clinic in Monroe - impressive. And they thanked us as we handed over the check. Gladly, they are now our new vet, earning our 23k year, minimum, business for our dogs' care. For those seeking a vet in Duvall: We strongly recommend you DO NOT use Dr. Lance Weeks. Please take advantage of our very costly lessons. When we moved to Duvall I was hesitant to change vets. Yet when I went into this vet, the love that was given to my 2 Jack Russells was about as good as I give them ( and I did not think that was possible to match that) Last year one of my dogs needed a lump removed. They removed it and had their teeth cleaned at the same time. WHAT A NEW dog! The lump was gone, and to this day I cannot find where it was taken from, I have to look up what side. GREAT PROFESSIONAL, VERY CARING STAFF AND Dr Lance Weeks is exceptional! I am happy to have them as my Vet, and I have 2 healthy JR's!!!! My 17-year old cat had been to Cherry Valley once last year for shaving (she had very long hair) and once for nail cutting, and both times the price was reasonable and their hours are convenient. I had previously always used Dr. Mike Treuting when I lived in Snoqualmie. Recently I took her to Cherry Valley when she was very sick and wouldn't eat. I was pretty resigned to the fact that she may need to be put down because of her age. But they gave her some saline solution under the skin because she was very dehydrated, and sent me home with the saline bag & some needles, showing he how to do it, plus some antibiotics and pain killer to give her every day for 5 days. She did perk up and began normal eating and drinking again. But then two weeks later she started declining again - not eating or drinking; vomiting and dry-heaving when no food was left in her tummy and she was just miserable. I made the firm decision that she had suffered enough so we took her in for euthanization. Dr. Weeks explained what would happen with the relaxant then the lethal injection, and gave us time to say goodbye. Willow was very calm throughout the process and went peacefully. I was crying the whole time but was grateful it was painless for Willow in the end. We decided to bury her in our yard rather than leaving her body to be cremated. I definitely would recommend this hospital. read more

I love Dr. Lance Weeks! He was my vet years ago at a clinic in Lynnwood, WA and I was so sad when they closed. I am in Seattle now and his current location is too far to drive but I cannot recommend him more than I do. He is so patient and caring and goes out of his way to care for your pet and then to educate you on how to properly take care of your animals at home. I really enjoyed the vet she was very professional and helpful. However, the treatment prescribed to my dog seemed to make his condition much worse. Probably wasn't her fault and rather another problem going on in my pet, but I just wanted to get a second opinion for my buddy. I'm a full time student putting myself through college and I wanted to make sure my pet got the best treatments and before I spent a fortune on vet bills. When the clinic got a call from a different vet office asking for my pets info, the vibe dramatically changed. The person I spoke to on the phone seemed very annoyed, borderline angry that I was seeing another clinic. Like I don't have enough to worry about when I might loose my best friend! read more

Whomever my husband spoke to on the phone was very rude and not client friendly. I created appointments on the Facebook page and was waiting for them to confirm my appointment to find out that they no longer used that as a method to schedule appointments. The exact words I believe were "I do not see how that is possible since the doctor will not be here until this afternoon". My husband then asked if he needed to call and make an appointment and when he told her that we were new, they are not accepting new clients. Very unprofessional. read more

This is a fantastic vet. I thankfully haven't had to visit them often, but, I (and my dog) love going to them when needed! They are so good with my dog, and very friendly and knowledgeable. From the receptionist to the doctors and all the staff in between, I love them! They're accomodating and understanding. We are newer to the area and had a need to put our cat down after years of health issues. It had finally become time. The staff and doctor were amazingly kind and thoughtful during this process. They explained the medications and how it was to be done. Dr Weeks explained some medical issues to our family and reassured us, talked about grief and was very calm and caring to our family and our dear pet. It was a pretty emotional way to meet a good vet, but a good vet none the less. We would recommend this practice because of the caring staff and they way they handled our case. read more

We recently relocated and unfortunately won't be able to continue coming to Dr. Weeks. But I wanted to leave this review letting others know the great care we received for many years from Cherry Valley. Our family is especially grateful to Dr. Weeks who removed an obstruction from our cat's stomach for thousands of dollars less than we would have had to pay at the emergency vet. We simply couldn't afford the procedure there and I felt like a cat murderer when I refused the surgery from the emergency vet. Not wanting to give up on our cat, we contacted Dr. Weeks who performed the surgery at a fraction of the cost and saved our cat's life. He and his staff have given my two dogs and three cats excellent compassionate care for the past 24 years at very reasonable prices. We will miss them! read more

Tried to suck as much money as possible out of the situation I brought our cat in because she was peeing everywhere. I had heard urinary tract infections can cause that. They recommended several hundred dollars worth of tests including the urinary infection one and much more. It turned out she was just peeing cause she didn't have the right litter box set up! They should have asked me about that first but instead they just tried to get as much money as possible out of me. I have experienced the same situation with them on another visit. :( On the plus side there was a very funny lady named Yolanda who talked to my cat and called her a "Pretty Girl" which has now become a house tradition! read more

Over the last three months we have needed to urgently see Dr. Weeks when our dog was having seizures. Both times he saw us immediately and gave our dog Edgar his full attention until the seizures were under control. He was so kind and nurturing to our dog. He also took the time to explain step by step to us what he was doing, and how each medication would effect Edgar. Dr. Weeks and his staff we genuinely concerned about our dogs well being. We took our cat here for a cut from a cat fight. They got him in quickly when we couldn't get an appointment at other vets.They fixed him right up and answered all of our questions. The Vet is so nice and you can tell he loves what he does. read more

Dr Lance Weekes has perhaps the WORST customer service that I have ever experienced. I found a hematoma on my dog's ear one night. The next day we took her in to have it looked at and found that she needed surgery. Okay. The surgery was completed two days after the initial night I found the hematoma. In the following week after surgery we did everything required of us to help our dog post-surgery. The week after follow up appointment my wife was scolded because we did not take care of our dog 'properly' according to the vet. We took our dog in for another follow up appointment 2 weeks after surgery and again were scolded for our care, which was exactly what they told us to do. This time our dog's head was wrapped with athletic tape, taping both of her ears preventing her from hearing. Three weeks after surgery the hematoma came back. Lance Weekes was kind enough to do surgery number two at no cost because the initial surgery did not fix the hematoma, very nice of him. There was an old, grumpy lady at the front desk had very poor customer service and clearly does not multi-task well; she reiterated the post surgery care in a very rude manner. One week after surgery number two, I walked into the office, made eye contact with the vet and he made no attempt to check me in for my appointment. Several minutes later, the vet came out, grabbed my dog's leash from me and said, 'I'll take her back.' I said, 'I would like to go.' Lance, 'NO!' I said, 'Oh, well I would like to go with my dog.' Lance said, 'Well, you can take her somewhere else than.' I said, 'You don't have to be rude about it." Lance, 'Other people don't have a problem with it.' I said, 'You can explain to me why you don't want me in the exam room, you don't have to be rude about it.' Lance then proceeded to tell me he was busy and admittedly was very rude to me and tried to justify his actions. Over the course of the appointment he told me he was too busy to take care of my dog. He bragged multiple times as to how people online don't like him, not something to be proud of when running a business. Weekes asked what we did different this time after surgery because the bandage looked better this time. I said, we did nothing different this time around. Weekes never mentioned anything about how my dog's ear was healing. I was to frustrated with the service I was receiving and just wanted out of the appointment. As I was leaving he tried to apologize in a very condescending manner. Pets are a part of our family and we want to know that they are going to be okay. There was no sense of family or heartfelt care in this vet office. I will never take my pet or any other pet back to this office, nor would I ever recommend his services to anyone. read more

This is at least my 5th time to take one of my 3 animals to this vet. All of the other visits were satisfactory (3 stars or better). Today's visit was a disaster. The Dr (Lance) was rambling about getting hit by a bus in one sentence and in another, telling me that my dogs are not wolves. He was referring to the fact that they are fed the RAW diet due to allergies. I informed him that I was advised to do this by their last Vet. He stated that I should cook their food with no other explanation. My one dog has skin problems and was just there three weeks ago for the same condition. He told me he was going to do the same lab work again or I could take her somewhere else. In all, it was just a really uncomfortable and strange experience. The receptionist was very nice and I think a little embarrassed by his commentary or so it seemed. She waived the test and the nail clipping but I called and told her that I felt really uncomfortable with the my experience and I would not return.. Bad day or not, you never treat people with that sort of aggression and apathy. read more
