I was returning medication for a deceased friend, when I was treated rudely and lied to. " oh we only take the pills" which is totally not what they are legally obligated to do. When you have medication and vitamins to be disposed of you are to remove all packaging and labels put the in ziplock bags and return them to the pharmacy that they came from for them to dispose of. The security guards at this Mall are aggressive and mean...especially the really tall one...he would not give me his name. The Hair Salon there will butcher your hair and only one stylist accepts interac...otherwise you have to pay in cash. The food court has food that is stale and overpriced...I tried 5 places and they were all the same bad food and service...I wanted to buy just one piece of fish from Mother Hubbards and i was told that they would not sell it that way...I guess they don't want the business or new customers....this Mall keeps Seniors as hostages due to overpricing and the lack of ability for Seniors to shop elsewhere. Also I ordered a pizza from the Pizza place and they said it would be twenty minutes. When I went back to pick up my paid for pizza....they had given it to somebody else!!!! read more

I was assaulted by a mall security guard. We were standing outside of the passport office, and he had just put on some lovely leather gloves, when he said something like "You're banned from the passport office! Get out!" I laughed in his face, looked at the floor and said something like, "What? We're already outside of the passport office. Tell me on the floor here what point is 'outside outside' and I'll go stand there." He got tilted and assaulted me, repeatedly jabbing me center chest with his non-dominant hand while keeping his other at the ready. He was obviously trying very hard to start a fight. The problem was he was so tilted by my previous comment that he refused to specify what I was banned from or where I needed to go. He just started screaming at me while I said things like "Where? Where am I supposed to stand! Tell me where I'm allowed to stand!" In an attempt to cover his criminal assault he started shouting something ike "This guy assaulted me! I have witnesses!" But that just made it worse for him, the idiot, because he never hit me. Is it plausible that I assaulted him and he just took it? Is he a coward? At one point during this dance he did the finger poke again, but this time I leaned into it. Like leaned three inches forward. And this security guard starts screaming "Assault!" again. He knew he messed up and was trying to cover up his liability-inducing, criminal assault, which ought to ruin his life and prevent him from ever working again. The mall's best advantage is that it is anchored by a grocery store (Metro) and a drug store (Shoppers). Beer and wine have returned for the first time in nearly two years (as of this writing), appearing in Metro. Another advantage is the niche local businesses outnumbering those chains. A key disadvantage is that the mall's opening hours are shorter than the main malls, with some shops closing well before official closing time, and are closed altogether on Sundays. Also, many of the stores in this mall are tiny compared to sister locations. Metro in this mall is dwarfed by the one on Adelaide/Cheapside. Shoppers Drug Mart in this mall is quite smaller than the one at Wellington/Commissioners. What is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage is that over time the mall has demographically shifted towards the older population it is located in the middle of. That, of course, depends on what demographic you fit in. Overall, however, it has all that you need and is a big part of a complete community. read more

This is an interesting mall. The stores mostly provide items to the local seniors who come daily to the mall. Sadly, this mall has lost its LCBO which was a busy but small store. The Food Court had a good selection but the promised wifi was a bust. read more

I like to refer to this place as "Heaven's Waiting Room". Would be nice if there was a small box type department store, maybe a Giant Tiger or a Hart Store, since the people that live in this area are almost entirely seniors and obviously aren't able to trek across town to a Walmart. read more

I like the size of Cherryhill Village Mall and find it easy to get around. Coming from a city with very large malls, this is a treat for me. There are a lot of seniors in this mall so nobody moves very quickly and you have to be on constant watch for motorized scooters. There is a good Metro and Shopper's Drug Mart and several specialized stores for clothing and such. The library is here along with a bank, dollar store, LCBO, jewellery, shoe store and a food court. I do wish it had a big box store though. Basically, it's a nice mall with good parking and lots of amenities. read more

I used to live in walking distance of Cherryhill Mall, so it was my default shopping destination, and for the most part, it served me well. Anchored by a Shoppers Drug Mart and an A&P, it has a lot of local businesses; the Dollarama is about the closest they come to a big chain here. Cherryhill Mall, it must be noted, is smack-dab in the middle of a whole bunch of retirement/seniors residences, so the mean age of the mall's clientele is pushing sixty or seventy. That means less haute couture, and more prescription drugs and a big store that sells walkers and motorized chairs that lift you up and out. read more

My husband and I moved to London about a month ago. Half of the days we have spent here have included a trip to Cherryhill. Why? It's close, convenient, and the 24-hour Metro is a godsend (it's been too hot to leave the house before 10 pm). Since Luke's review, some stores have changed. What hasn't changed is the clientele. Most people walking around are elderly, which is fine because it's quiet and not in any way obnoxious and crazy. Anyway, the A&P is now a 24 hour Metro (which, as I've mentioned, is awesome). The LCBO is tiny, but has all the standard alcohol on offer as well as lots and lots and LOTS of different wines. There's a photography and telescope shop that's super cool to browse (if you're a bit nerdy :P) as well as the library and a few clothing stores, jewellery stores, and a large shoe store. There's a Timothy's and a small restaurant (think a family-owned Swiss Chalet) called King of the Pigs. We'll pop by sometime soon and write a review. There's also a ScotiaBank and the Shoppers is still there. The Dollarama has just recently become "Everything for a dollar store" (or EFADS). The mall is in a good location, lots and lots of parking, and all the essential stores (Metro, LCBO, Shoppers). I'm a fan! :D read more

My mom lives in the Cherryhill apartments, so we use this mall as a hub for certain supplies and such. There is a decent array of shops inside, although they recently lost the LCBO and Metro is no longer 24hrs. It does serve the needs of the community so it's hard to really give it much disdain. The mall itself appears clean. The parking lot is a bit of minefield as you have to watch for slower and/or unpredictable pedestrians. read more

Minto who owns this mall and apartments are taking advantage of senior citizens. I rented an apartment from Minto in the cherryhill village and after 1 year they sent a notice to sign and in the fine print it was signing another years lease at a 5.43% rent increase. I did NOT sign and moved out. There was NO maintenance done to the building and a freight train goes by 20-44 times a day. It was the biggest dump i have ever rented. The Metro grocery store has the elderly people over a barrell and charges them super high prices knowing most of them do not drive so they need to shop there. Minto is a SLUM LORD COMPANY. I will be boycotting every property this company owns. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I enjoy the fact that this mall caters to the older crowd, I have not seen a mall that does this anywhere. This mall fulfills most of the requirements that you would need for your daily needs. When I reach the average age of the usual customers that frequent this mall I will definitely consider moving near it. I moved to Cherryhill apartments a couple of years ago and have found Cherryhill Mall to be a gem, especially for Seniors! There is everything here that you could possibly need. Shoppers drug mart,Metro,Scotia bank,C.A.A,Passport office,Shoppers home health,V.O.N. Office,Camera shop,Pet food store,Optitian,Shoe repair,Dry cleaners,Barber shop,Beauty salon,Dollar store,Women's clothing stores,2 Shoe stores,Pizza place,2 restaurants,Good food court,Computer repair,Jeweler,Dentist,Walkin clinic,Ect. What more could we ask for! Also, I have observed a few medical emergencies in the mall, and these were attended to very quickly, and professionally by mall staff members, Phil and Al. These guys deserve a medal for there constant friendliness and help they give to Seniors in the mall. Also there are many special events in the mall, including a monthly dance geared to seniors,with live music. This mall gets a 10 out of 10 from me! read more
