She is a 115 lb labrador)- They called us ten minutes later, left a message to come get her. My husband called them back immediately and said "no problem, I am on my way" -- He was only one mile away....He was then told "we gave her a bath and cut her nails, I am drying her, give us another twenty minutes" - (We took her in for a full package deal, bathing, teeth, nails, anal glands, de-shedding, etc) .. When my husband arrived, he politely said "next time, if you cannot do what we brought her in for, just please dont do anything at all " (Now we have to take her somewhere else, and he would have just picked her up like he said he would.). The employees became unhinged, and retaliated with rude remarks telling him he should be grateful for what they did - they did us a favor by discounting the cost (ok?? lol to that) - and the gentlemen told him to take our dog and get out. (this went from 0 to 60 in a hot minute- for no reason). (and yes, my husband paid for the services they did) The issue was not the bathing, or paying for the bathing.. The issue is that they were the rudest , unprofessional people arguing with my husband. The two ladies and gentleman with the colored hair (we dont know their names) were so incredibly disrespectful, I would never send anyone to this location. There was attitude from the very beginning- for no reason. I will be calling corporate. We have never been spoken to like this. (this excludes Rosemary, who acted professionally and sat there quietly while her coworkers felt the need to shame my husband in front of other customers). We drove 45 minutes to this location and walked away upset and disappointed . Never again.

When we arrived to the shelter we were greeted and shown the various dogs and cats there. The kennels were clean and the volunteers were very kind and thoughtfull. We had an interest in a particular dog. There were ten other interested applicants before us!!! Needless to say we were overjoyed when we found out we were picked to become this dog's forever caregivers. The volunteers here are very nice and gave us all the information we wanted. They work very hard for these dogs and cats! Do not hesitate to adopt from here!

Thus more end up at AC Paws. We live on a 'farm' and used to have a cat per year dropped off. Once a female who gave birth that evening and was malnouished. Her 4 kittens didn't live. So much for responsible owners. We ended up fixing countless cats and a few dogs. I love animals and hate people who abuse and are irrisponsible to any animal. My little guy was living in the woods with another dog. He was malnourished and needed a lot of TLC. For a small shelter in a rural area I was surprised at the rare breeds they often got there. When I've checked their website and facebook page I've seen Irish Wolfhounds and French Bulldogs. Those are expensive dogs! You also can't beat the price. If I remember correctly, you paid $30 then when you sent in proof that your dog was fixed, you for $25 back in the mail. Can't beat that! I love when people get their pets from shelters and it beats buying your dog from a breeder 100% of the time! Don't forget to drop off your old blankets and towels and bring in your extra dog and cat food. They can always use it!!!
