I saw one of the many specialist in this location a few years ago that ultimately ended with me being referred to an Endocrinologist. I'm here today with a Friend but remember well how comfortable everyone here makes you feel. This is definitely the place to go if you need an ENT.

Access from Brambleton near the Midtown Tunnel is convenient not just for Norfolk, but also Portsmouth, Chesapeake, the Shore Drive corridor in Virginia Beach & the Northern sections of Suffolk. The entire staff is friendly & helpful, from the check-in desk, Medical Assistants & Nursing Staff to the Physicians. I love the way they remember you from one appointment to the next. My last visit was with Dr. Volsky, the Otologist I was referred to for a lifetime issue that had never previously been diagnosed. My appointment with the EVMS Hearing & Balance Center was to provide him information for this appointment. Dr. Volsky came through the waiting room late & in scrubs, having been called away for an emergency surgery. But such can be expected for physicians of his caliber. It also gave me time to complete the extensive questionaire, which I later learned (unlike a lot of physicians) he actually studied before entering the examination room. It was a long wait in the exam room. But I didn't mind. Patients with earlier appointments had to be seen first. They too had been waiting for him to return from surgery. Dr. Volsky completed an extensive examination & knew my other conditions & medications. I was extremely happy with his level of care & the next steps he ordered performed. He was congenial & extremely knowledgeable. Completing my satisfaction level was his question as to whether I had a ride. Although his exam didn't reach that of the Hearing & Balance Center, it did make me slightly off balance and dizzy. This is a practice that I highly recommend. You will leave knowing you're had a great level of care.

The PA on staff, Alexis Gurecki, was amazing! She took her time with me, helped me through my attack and made me feel as though nothing in the world was wrong. This lady went far beyond expectations and was there for me. I really appreciate everything she did for me.

The office staff and Alexis are amazing but their billing department are purposely double charging and stealing money from their customers. I have never been in the office without paying for our shots, as a matter of fact, that's the first thing they take is payment. I have on several occasions received a bill or been in the office and told I have a balance so I'd pay it. It wasn't much between twenty to fifty dollars. I always thought it was something my insurance didn't cover or a new vile so I would pay it. On one occasion, I received a bill and decided to really look at it and it was for shots I already paid for. I called and spoke to the billing office and the young lady said oh let us check into that. The answer I received was it was for a past bill, NOT for the services the bill of particulars was listed for. I told her that didn't make sense, but I paid it. Again I get another bill dated for shots I paid. Again I paid but this time I asked for a bill of particulars for bills and payments received since I've started getting shots. There were three charges that were paid not listed. I left messages and no returned calls. Last conversation with the billing office, I was at a zero balance. Again I received a bill for the last two shots I received that I have receipts for because after not receiving the email receipts I requested a print out. If anyone has had a similar experience please post, I am now looking at taking legal action and I know I am not the only client who has experienced this. I am now looking for a new ENT, I will NEVER go back. Sad really because the staff is great but because they have crooks in their billing department they have lost my business!
