The teachers in room 2a and 2b are always so pleasant and nice. They are very attentive to my child as well as all the children. They speak calmly to them, give them hugs, and take note of their interests. We have been very pleased in our first 3 months at the school and look forward to many more. My daughter has been with Chesterbrook since she's been 9 months old. I felt the need to write Now that she is nine years old and been in there summer camp program for the past 5 years. I know that she always has a place to go in the summer that is fun filled with activities field trips once a week swimming and Etc she always comes home thrilled to tell me about her day all the counselors are great there very welcoming always updating me on what's going on very sweet kind my daughter loves them also the principal is always walking around checking on things making sure everything's going well always updating me as well on things going on with the school I am very pleased with everything at Chesterbrook and will be sad when my daughter grows out of the summer camp program read more

The summer camps is ran terribly this year, I have been bringing my child to Chesterbrook Academy for a number of years and this is the worst summer my child has ever had. My child complains that they haven't done any fun activities yet this summer and when i questioned the teachers they said they have things planned which i still have not heard being done. The teachers are also dressed super inappropriately for working with children, I've seen them on their phones numerous times while picking up or they are ignoring the children having their own personal conversations. We have been satisfied with Chesterbrook up until this summer and I'm disappointed that so much has changed this year. read more

I've been so happy with Chesterbrook Academy on Lewis Road, especially in 2020-2021 considering how they have had to adapt to CDC guidelines, ensuring that all staff and children healthy and safe. I also recently realized that CBA was open while other neighboring childcare centers were closed during the week between Christmas and New Years. I am thankful for CBA continuing to be open during that period because some parents like myself still had to work! My kids genuinely love being at school, love their teachers and I can tell that the teachers genuinely love my kids as well. They are learning so much on a daily basis. Toured this daycare about 3 months ago. Loved so many details and they had availability for our son right around the time we were interested in having him start. I filled out all of his paper work and dropped that off with a check to hold his place to get him into the classroom. For the last three months I have not heard a word from this daycare regarding the admissions process. I have left multiple voicemails and have not yet gotten a single response. Yet through all of the lack of response and communication- they had time to deposit my check today! This business is either extremely unorganized- which speaks for itself as to why I would never send my son here nor would I recommend to anyone else sending their child here, or they just enjoy stealing from young families. Either option is absolutely disgusting. I'll be reaching out further on Monday to discuss this issue- although I will be surprised if the phone ever manages to get picked up. read more

I started my career at Chesterbrook Academy 15 years ago, shortly after graduating high school. I loved what I did then & still love it now! Seeing the joy & wonder in the children and being able to physically, mentally & emotionally watch them grow is so rewarding. I've also attended Chesterbrook as a parent & I can say first hand how wonderful it was for my son to be around teachers who genuinely cared for him. We had several incidents at CBA in Limerick before we decided to remove both of our children for safety reason. There was so much red tape to make changes it felt like the staff was working against us for the basic attention children require. We had to take personal days off to meet with the staff to ensure they were upholding their own rules and regulations, especially when it came to allergies. Their "peanut free facility" label was a false sense of security because they broke their own rules by offering my child outside food with NO LABEL. We would NOT recommend CBA in Limerick. read more

We've had a great experience here at Chesterbrook for both my son and daughter. They both have attended since they were infants. The teachers have changed over the years but my kids have always had great care. My son went into 1st grade after attending Kindergarten and the teacher was very impressed by his handwriting skills. read more

My son was enrolled at another daycare/pre-K at 12 weeks old. He remained at that facility until several weeks before he turned 5 years old. The first daycare/pre-K did not advance him to Pre-K 2 with the rest of his class because he missed the cut off date by 17 days & they "assumed" he would not be starting kindergarten the following year. I asked if there were any developmental indications that he should repeat Pre-K vs advancing to Pre-K 2 with the rest of his class. I was informed that the decision was strictly based on the fact that he didn't meet the cut off, but I could have him tested to for early admission to kindergarten at the public school. My husband & I had him testing after repeating Pre-K & he narrowly missed the score required for early admission. We decided that our son did not need to attend Pre-K 2 at the old facility & looked at other programs. We found Chesterbrook Academy in Limerick & could not be happier that we did. He started kindergarten at Chesterbrook in August 2018 not knowing how to read anything other than his name. Upon completion of their kindergarten program, we had our son tested for early admission to first grade. To our surprise, he scored very high. He went from being able to read nothing at all to being able to read more than half of what is taught in first grade. Needless to say, my husband & I are THRILLED with the education he received. read more

Writing this review is beyond disappointing. I have been with Chesterbrook in Limerick, PA on Lewis Rd since it was originally privately owned as Country Tyme. We LOVED it then. This facility has acres of land, an in-ground pool, and multiple buildings. Each class had its own playground, was immaculate, and it had a nice, homey feel. The teachers were dedicated, loved the kids, and worked well with administration. As a first time mom, I knew I could trust his teachers to care for him when my husband and I had to work. Then Country Tyme was sold to Chesterbrook and we saw minor changes. Things became more "corporate" but it was expected; it's part of business. When the well-being of my child is affected though, I have concerns. These all occurred under current administration as of 6/8/2015: 1. My youngest got C-diff, a very serious bacterial infection that lives in the gut of a child. It is resistant to antibiotic treatment, hand sanitizers, cleansers, etc. It has the ability to form spores and live on surfaces up to 7 yrs. It is highly contagious & while some carriers are unaffected, most become violently ill. Once you have it, it reoccurs in about 20% of patients. I told the principal of this, pulled my child from school (while the original sick classmate continued to attend). NO LETTER WAS EVER GIVEN TO PARENTS. 2. They never provide letters when a child is sick with anything. Instead, the principal sticks an informational brochure about what appears to be a random sickness in your child's folder. It is done to look like an informational packet. NO WHERE is there ANY indication to any parent that there is a child sick with that specific illness in the room. 3. My youngest then contracted MRSA. When I called the school to tell them, I was told, "Well, how can you be SURE he got it here?" Really?!? It came from unhealthy diaper changing practices at their facility. I kept my child out for extra time out of consideration for other families, & offered preventative measures that I received from the pediatrician to keep it from spreading. I said they could even give out my email & phone # to parents so I could answer any questions they had. I was not concerned over anonymity; I was concerned for the other kids. Again, NO LETTER WAS EVER GIVEN TO PARENTS. I specifically asked if a letter would be given, & was assured it would. In a meeting with myself, my husband, teachers, & the principal, I again asked if a letter was sent home, and was told it was. I clarified that I was NOT referring to an informational brochure, but an actual letter that explained someone in the class was sick with MRSA ( I know they technically can't say who). She insisted yes. When I asked her to produce it, she came back with the brochure and called it a "communication error". No letter existed. She flat out lied & got caught. Later they used an easel at the opposite end of the building where infants/ toddlers are, where nobody sees it. 4. I was told they aren't required to wear gloves during diaper changes if they wash hands before & after each diaper. OK, no problem. Upon my child's return from being sick w/ MRSA, I watched a teacher change a child & NOT wipe down the table w/ bleach. She then failed to wash her hands, picked up another child & proceeded to change them. She was also not wearing gloves. 5. I picked up my child. He was wet so I changed him. When I checked, there was an empty bottle of bleach, no paper towels and nobody realized it. That means they were not using the bleach, wiping down the changing table, or washing all day. The principal, said she would look into it. The following day she said she found a bottle of bleach solution in the trash and asked if I put it in there! Can you believe the nerve? I noted the bottle of bleach solution wasn't "missing" the day before; it was empty. Again, she insisted she "found" it. I guess the empty bottle & empty paper towel holders were figments of my imagination. 6. There is a rotting, wooden playhouse that has a hole in the roof, exposed, jagged edges, and is very unsafe. I cannot believe they leave it on the property and allow children to play in it. 7. I picked my child up from school at around 4:45 PM and noticed he had no socks on. I was told, "He took them off at nap time." I came home and his feet were covered in blisters from wearing shoes w/out socks half the day. 8. Today I picked him up at 5:15; his paper said he was changed at 5 PM. His diaper was so soaked it was full all the way up the BACK & sagging. I changed him myself. He also pooped. It was so long since he was changed, it drifted out of the diaper, down his leg and was DRIED and CRUSTED onto his skin. It was not even remotely loose. And that happened in a 15 minute window? Yeah right! I literally had to scrub feces off of my child's genitals while he whimpered bc it was dried on him. Even the sub agreed there was no way he could have been changed at 5. Chesterbrook Academy is a wonderful placement for children! The staff are caring and attentive to the children. My son has flourished in Chesterbrook. I would recommend any mother who is apprehensive of a daycare to visit Chesterbrook and you will feel the positive atmosphere they provide. As a first time mother I hated the thought of putting my infant into day care. Our tentative Nanny failed her background check and day care became my only option. I looked at a lot of schools and was very discouraged until I toured Chesterbrook. My daughter started Chesterbrook at 5 months old and I have been absolutely thrilled with the care that she has received there. She has adapted so well and loves seeing her teachers each day. Miss Bonnie, Miss Monica, and Miss Raquel are all phenomenal. They sing, play, and do crafts with the babies and often send home pictures that are taken throughout the day. The teachers helped my daughter master solid foods and every time I picked her up she seemed to have learned something new--waving good-bye or clapping. We moved to a new town and, unfortunately, had to switch schools, but I would recommend Chesterbrook, especially the Infant Room, to anyone!!! read more
