Pretty cool. Lots of activities for children. We had free passes so that was a plus. I think general admission is $12 a person. I wouldn't recommend buying the farm animal food. They only had a few rabbits, cows, and pigs. Pigs were the only ones interested in the food of course lol. Also I recommend getting there early if you go on the weekend. They fills up quick. We left around 12 and the place was getting crowded.

Picking out a pumpkin! Or three! : ) 9/23/17.

There is a lot to do here! Pick out pumpkins in a vast field, corn shooting, paintball, hayrides, corn mazes, feed goats, pig races, and more! It's busy on Saturdays, so try to get here early! I was bummed that there wasn't an area to sit and take pictures surrounded by pumpkins and bales of hay. It's okay! : ) Just putting it in this review in case anybody wants to go to do that.. this isn't the place. We went because it was military weekend! Anyone that was active-duty and their family got in for free! The people running the farm are friendly and always wanting to help you if you need anything. This is probably going to be very weird, but I have to mention that the portable toilets were very clean! A big thank you for cleaning them, and keeping them that way!!

Today we visited Chesterfield Berry Farm's pumpkin patch and made the best of our time there…read more General Fun Pass tickets are $24.99, and the Ultimate Fun Pass is $29.00 per person. Admission is definitely on the expensive side--especially if you go on a Thursday like we did--since about 85% of the activities older kids want to enjoy weren't operating. The food stations were closed. (We scored a great rate on Groupon for tickets) We did get to enjoy the beautiful pumpkin patch and sunflower field, but my oldest was disappointed that the bounce house and corn cannon weren't available. Overall, it was a lovely first-time experience for my mom and youngest child, but my oldest and I left feeling a bit let down.

It feels like strawberry picking season came really early this year! I went to Chesterfield Berry…read moreFarm with my friends for Earth day. The farm is huge! Don't be fooled by your GPS, you will drive an additional 3-5 minutes to get to the strawberry picking portion. We timed it so we would arrive right when it opened. It was easy to find a place to park. They give you cute red buckets to put your strawberries in (you get to keep the bucket). We spent about 30 minutes picking strawberries. The berries they have here are HUGE! There were also a lot to choose from when we went. You are charged by how heavy your basket is. I'd highly recommend checking this farm out. It's a great place to bring little ones too.

The market is an add on to an already amazing park with soccer fields, shady glens with large oak trees and rolling hills of grass. I wish I had more time to explore. The vendor booths are in shade and well spaced. It was a rather large market compared to NYC, northern VA, New England small towns and had that feel of one of those first musical festivals from the late 70's Everyone, small ones included was chill. Lots of amazing food w new approachs from sauces, proteins, sea food of course including oysters, soft shell and other Tidewater treasures. The vegetable vendors from small to large were well managed and lines moved quickly. The produce looked like a magazine spread. There was background music from two separate musicians which supported the mellow vibe. My faves were The Herbalist Garden where I picked up a blemish stick for those summer nicks and bites. Rosehip and Thyme See picture Yes, there are many more and this soothes and heals.Honey- why buy store bought when you get this straight from the beekeeper? Just awesome and fairly priced. Soap and bath salts two lovely entrepreneurs who had passion and knowledge for their products which were well displayed and well received as gifts to friends. I suggest you bring a cart and a helper, get Vietnamese coffee, the real deal, plan your weekly meals and enjoy the bountiful harvests and entrepreneurial spirit of Richmond area
