Another time it was an unnecessary wait and hassle just to pick something up from the lab. Honestly, if you anticipate needing lab work on a weekend, you may want to consider another location unless you're out of choices. I'm not sure what's going on as neither of us has ever waited more than a few minutes for the lab at any other location. I shudder to think what it would be like if you had to wait an hour with your sick child. With that caveat, if you don't need lab work on a weekend, I wouldn't hesitate to go to this OneMedical location and expect their usual high quality of service and care.

In general, I like the integration of the app & telehealth with the office and the idea of a more personalized focus on primary care that One Medical provides. Specifically, I like this location where the staff are all very nice and welcoming. It seems like the staff really care about improving health and "taking care" of you. I tried out the Chevy Chase location last year and had a bad experience with a shockingly rude doctor that surprised me. If I went into detail about what happened there, you would be appalled. I've been to the Bethesda location a lot and they have been great every time. If I had only experienced the Chevy Chase location, I would have quit this program but I've been consistently happy with Bethesda. I haven't tried other locations but the model is that they are a different experience than your average primary care medical office. They are very prompt, stylish and offer the choice between in-person services and telehealth. Prior to One Medical, I had a less than stellar experience with a primary care doctor in a different system. When I say that I've been consistently happy with this Bethesda office, I don't say that lightly. It is pleasant and convenient.

Parking was probably the hardest part at this location, as I'm used to going to Reston or Tysons Corner, where parking is very close to the office. Once I found parking in a lot about a quarter-mile away and walked to the office, I realized I couldn't get in without pushing an intercom button. Again, not something I was used to at the other offices that I've been to. But once I got inside, checked in, and let them know that I was trying to get lab work before my visits, they took care of signing me in for both and getting me set up. The lab tech took me back shortly after, and it was someone I knew from the Reston office. After finishing with the lab tech, the nurse practitioner quickly called me back, took care of the reason I was seeing her, and had me quickly on my way to my next appointment. I can't say enough about One Medical as a practice, and I highly recommend you give them a try if you need primary care or a new doctor.

They have a children's practice as well, which I am highly considering switching to as I can see it being easy to schedule sick and well visits, get doctors notes, etc. My company used to pay One Medical Group as a benefit but it is so good that I continue to pay out of pocket. It became too difficult to reach anyone, to get clarity on procedures or figure out forms that weren't working, and then also finding billing errors and getting shifted around or given wrong information. I felt on my own and as if Corewood never saw these things as real problems. They had many reasons & explanations which I understood at the time, but I got tired of trying to accept struggling on my own to get simple things you would need and that you are paying for.

No one will ever be a good replacement for her, so I went in with low expectations. So far the Willow Oaks office has been ok, they did change the major treatment, but luckily they didn't do the nightmare scenario of changing everything, or making me start at the beginning again. I'm irritated I have to see a separate pain specialist, pain is part of a rheumatology diagnosis for most, so forcing patients to make separate appointments for chronic pain seems part silly, part taking financial advantage of patients. But I guess this is part of the new chain style of medicine in the U.S. Dr. Lomeo was old fashioned, and treated all symptoms of her specialty, and left specialists for areas outside of her expertise, of which pain is included for ALL rheumatologists, can you tell I miss her yet? The office staff is largely quick and efficient, they do their best to navigate my insurances that try to get out of paying. I admit I prefer dealing with some, who are friendlier. But they're all decent. Seating is comfortable, and appointments are mostly on time, but as with all rheumatologists, you may find they run late because sometimes patients just need more time at their appointments. Have patience, and bring a book just in case. Parking is easy because the office is between free car parks, beware though, because the carpark elevator often breaks down. The infusion center is at the same office, which is convenient. The nurses here are very nice, normal Geri-chairs to lay or sit in. Be prepared to make future appointments well in advance. And they do blood draws here and in the office, which almost makes up for the pain clinic nonsense. So far, the patients that come here are also pretty chill as well. The doctors and PAs are professional, and do try to ensure you have the right protocols. I'm not looking for a cure, just stability and they're getting there. I love Alisha the PA, she's good natured and answers all my questions. Dr. Bodadi is quiet, but thoughtful and seems kind. I've dealt with my diseases since childhood, and was a nurse; so my experiences may be much different than someone else who's looking for a miracle. With the disappearing population of old fashioned practice, that treats the whole person; this office is probably as good as it gets unless you can find a concierge rheumatologist. The physical site is gorgeous, parking is nearby (not free though) and it's metro accessible. It's clean, the staff are friendly and professional and they have an in-house lab which saves a trip to Lab Corp. Additionally, they now offer mental health services which is a nice bonus. If you need a prescription called in to your local pharmacy, you can request via their app or website. If you have a non-urgent issue and need advice, you can message a nurse or doctor for help. If you have an urgent (non-emergency) issue, you can usually get an appointment relatively quickly; scheduling through the app is very easy. The user interface is easy to navigate. Also, the staff don't try to "upsell" you in any way or pressure you to get an unnecessary vaccine or test. In closing, I highly recommend OneMedical. It's worth the annual fee (which isn't that pricey IMHO). There are locations throughout the country - and the network of providers at every location is superb.

Not once was I ever told the cost of services prior to any visit. This goes against the No Surprises Act of 2022. I have already reported One Medical to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I have requested they adjust my bill accordingly, but I keep getting bills via email and mail. I even called at the beginning of 2022 to confirm my new insurance was accepted, and they confirmed it was. They used to be an amazing practice, but things have severely changed. I will not be renewing my membership even though I've been a member for years.

Let me start by saying my first visit with this doctor was amazing…read more However all interactions after this were not with the doctor and instead with office staff. --- I had to contact the office multiple times for lab and x ray results but dismissed this as a fluke --- For my follow up visit, where I needed to talk about my medication management and current pain levels I was denied access to care due to my need for ADA parking which was limited due to construction and damage in the parking garage. I tried for two weeks to make a complaint to corporate and they have not returned any of my calls to ensure that I have what is needed medically for my care. They couldn't even pretend to resolve it by saying if I pay this unfair fee I can be seen right away ---- I arrived 20 minutes early but was unable to locate handicap-accessible parking to fit my vehicle due to construction and blocked spaces in the nearby garages. While searching for parking, I called the office around 10:00 a.m. to inform them of my situation and ask whether I could still be seen by being worked in or did they want me to reschedule. I was transferred between three different call center representatives before finally connecting with someone. I have attached a photo I took today because I had to return to this same building to see another provider. The spots are still blocked off and not van accessible to allow for access for a person in a wheelchair like my son. By the time I found a parking spot at 10:20 am, I was told not to come in by the call center staff and that I would be charged a no-show fee, despite being on the phone with their call center for over 20 minutes trying to get help. At no point did I attempt to miss the appointment, I was actively trying to attend and communicate with the office because this is important for me to try to get a handle on my own health care. I explicitly asked them to put me through to the office and verify that I could not be seen. I was told no one answered the phone and also that they answered and said no... contradicting what the office manager later said. When the office manager, Jasmine Jackson, contacted me the following day, she stated that the office would have been able to see me had the call center communicated that I was waiting outside, but I was told not to come in by them even though I explicitly asked to be seen multiple times. Jasmine went further to blame me, suggesting that I should have parked in a lot a few blocks away behind a Tiffany's store. I am not familiar with the area, and I chose the two garages nearest the building and then street parking, because I was concerned about my ability to walk farther with my adult son, who has limited mobility and is difficult to push in a wheelchair, especially given my own back and extremity pain that limits my ablity to walk long distances. I also spoke with Kelly in the business office and Stacey in the call center, both of whom said they would follow up with me regarding this issue. Neither has contacted me as promised, demonstrating a continued lack of responsiveness from the office. I am concerned now that I have been abandoned for care because they are prioritizing this no show fee for an appointment I begged to attend as soon as I figured out how to safely get my son and I inside over my actual health status, knowing my medical condition impacts a vulnerable person who relies on my care.
