Where other agencies it was quite obvious that it was going to take time for them to evaluate if they wanted to help us. Georgetown Home Care was there the next day. We felt as if we were there only client. They found us a compatible aide and they were very caring as a company. Right up until the end. Which came as quick as the need for home care did. Overall very pleased with the responsiveness and the aides that were assigned to us.

This company is terribly disorganized. Communications and follow-through and abysmal! I am a…read moredisabled senior woman. I am recovering from major foot reconstruction surgery on my foot. After a fall right after my surgery I spent 4 days in the hospital. I have an injured elbow, a serious balance disorder and nerve pain in the same leg as my foot surgery. I'm a serious fall risk. Upon my hospital discharge 6 days ago, the hospital and my surgeon referred me to Caregivers for PT, OT, Nurses, and a home health aide. So far I saw a nurse 4 days ago who recommended a wheelchair for me, but did NOTHING about ordering one for me. I've had to coordinate all of that myself. Two other nurses have called to see me just days after the initial visit. I saw a PT today who seemed to have limited knowledge of my other physical complaints. The OT I coordinated myself. The home health aide? So far she's just a promise that has failed to materialize. Both my social worker and my doctor's office have reached out to Caregivers multiple times for the last 4 days, and each time they're told that "it's all coordinated, I just have to wait". It's been 10 days since I last bathed. I'm miserable! If you're good with do-it-yourself home healthcare, this is the company for you. From my perspective, I want caregivers who really care about caring for the people they've been contracted to care for.

Your time spent with the doctor is longer than in any other office I've been in. Plus, the doctor is listening to you and not typing things into his computer because there is a medical scrip taking notes of what he says and you say the entire time. He's paying complete attention to you. Bloodwork is done in-house, you get the results the same day or while you wait for no additional charge. My current doctor is Dr. Hodes and he knows me. He knows my wife. He isn't so overwhelmed with patients that I'm otherwise just a number. The messaging service is also fantastic. Once, my wife sustained a liquid burn on her hand and by sending a picture through the app, she was prescribed a cream immediately (on a Sunday) and she was able to get it and use it the same day. Yes, it is concierge medicine, but when you count up all your co-pays that you no longer have to pay, I think this is a fair deal, especially if you really care about your health.

You stay connected with them via an app and can send messages at any time of day. Just last night I sent them my 23andMe results (they give you a free test with registration) at 1:03am and got a response back at 1:20am saying it was received. Crazy!! I have to put some background information here so that you as a reader can understand how exceptional this company is! I was in the hospital recovering from surgery for 9 days when I was discharged to a skilled nursing facility on Wednesday mid-afternoon. (Also being reviewed) Unfortunately, this facility was beyond terrible and I needed to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night for pain relief and my prescribed medications, none of which were available at the nursing facility when I needed them. (I had been without pain medication for eight full hours and was in tears and shaking like a leaf and the nurses didn't have the ability to provide relief other than being frustrated and angry with me. I called an ambulance and returned to the emergency room at the hospital where I had been treated. After the doctors had treated my pain enough that I could think things through. I realized that I didn't want to return to the nursing facility, (although I would have to go back for paperwork) but also that I couldn't go home without 24/7 help for the time being. I used my cell phone to look up "Best home health care near me," and after reading through a few sites I set my sights on "Care with Love." I called "Care with Love" around 7:30 AM on Thursday morning. I was discharged and picked up from the emergency room by 8:00- 8:30 AM and returned to the nursing home. This is where "Care with Love" really began to shine!!!! One of the administrators, Mandy, answered my call, and after hearing my situation agreed that I needed help. By 8:00/8:30 AM, I was discharged and returned to the nursing facility. I was met at the nursing facility, (which I will review in depth, separately), by Claire, from Care with Love. After a short while, Claire helped me get all of my paperwork finished and I was on my way towards returning home. By 10:30 AM, and just in time for my pain meds and morning meds, I was greeted by Alexis, a CNA/Caregiver (Certified Nursing Assistant/Caregiver) with Care with Love. Alexis packed all my belongings, helped me to do my final paperwork from the nursing facility, and had me in a wheelchair on the way to her car. A short drive home, and I was finally somewhere safe, comfortable and well taken care of!! I never expected this help to come so quickly and was in a panic attack that I might have to stay at that nursing facility!! I hired Care with Love for 7 days, 24/7, with 3 shifts of CAN's coming to take care of me. While some of the caregivers were exceptional, and some were of average ability, I can honestly say that I felt safe at all times and knew that if there was anything I needed, I would be taken care of. The administrative team was fantastic! Prior to each shift, they sent an email or text to let me know which caregiver would be covering the next shift, (i.e: by 8 PM I might receive a text message letting me know that caregiver A would be taking my 8:00 AM-4:00 PM shift, Caretaker B would take the shift from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, and Caretaker C would be taking 8:00 PM-8:00 AM). The company can also provide a live in provider if one wishes. Each administrator was very kind, very patient, very helpful and very communicative. I am grateful to each and every one of them! Although my insurance, (private non-Medicare or Medicaid), would not approve of this service for me, I found the price reasonable considering all that I would need from the people coming in to take care of me. Caretakers take care of any number of activities while they are with you, such as light housework, (dishes after eating, sweeping or mopping a mess made by a client/patient, doing a load of laundry, if need be, and making beds. My CAN's helped coach me through home exercises from my knee replacement and through walking laps in my own home. One special mention of note: On Monday, my Caregiver was helping me prepare for a doctor's appointment when my heart went into serious arrythmia. Care with Love's Registered Nurse Laura, advised us to call an ambulance and go to the hospital. My caregiver not only followed the ambulance to the hospital but remained with me until her shift was over. The next day, she arrived promptly at the beginning of her shift despite the fact that I was still in the hospital. She did so the next day as well, remaining from start to finish of her shift, and fussing over me like a mother hen!!! I am home again, and able to take care of myself. I will greatly miss my caregivers. Care With Love helped me through the most difficult time I've ever had as an adult. I am so grateful for their help~ Would I recommend them?? YES! Emphatically! Would I use them in the future if needed? Absolutely!!! Should YOU pick up the phone and call Care with Love?? You BET!
