We get to an impasse where we can't finish my taxes because they're just a bit more complicated than a basic 1040 form and his father, the actual CPA, is unavailable. I made an appointment with a CPA because I knew I needed one. I did not get one here. I left with my taxes unfinished and a business card and was told to make another appointment when I was ready to complete my taxes (without a CPA as I understood it). Needless to say, I did not return. Why would anyone want to pay to have their taxes done by a person with no tax experience or certification? I could do that myself on Turbo Tax with probably better results.

As a long-time State Farm customer, and being in close proximity to this location at the time, I thought it would be a simple request. During the call, I was told, "We do not have African-American calendars," which I found both unexpected and concerning, as I had not mentioned my ethnicity or requested any specific type of calendar. Ms. Esther Smith then suggested that I visit my local State Farm office and indicated that the calendars were reserved for her customers. While I understand the importance of prioritizing one's own clientele, my assigned agent was approximately 40 minutes away at the time. The conversation concluded with Ms. Smith offering me a calendar; however, I declined due to the negative undertones I perceived during the interaction. What I anticipated would be a straightforward request instead became an uncomfortable experience marked by what felt like unnecessary assumptions. The tone of the interaction left me feeling uneasy. As this was my only interaction with Ms. Smith, I recognize the possibility that she may have been having an off day; however, I felt it was important to share this feedback.

This agency filled out my 2014 taxes. I got a letter from the IRS stating that due to a…read moremiscalculation I overpaid taxes (the agency added a penalty that shouldn't have been added). I also had another well-respected account check over this return, and she found that I had not only been mistakenly charged a penalty by this firm, but that I had been overcharged an additional $1500 in tax because of another error. Sadly, the deadline had passed for getting this money refunded. When I informed Mr. Ghannam of this, and did not demand or ask for one penny back, he challenged me to bet $2000 that he had made a mistake, urging me to put the money in an escrow with his "lawyer" and he would do the same. If the IRS verified he had made a mistake, I would get his money, but if the return was perfect he would get my money. I didn't want to take his money as he did not know that I already had a letter from the IRS proving he had made a mistake. He insisted once again that we do this, so I told him I accepted his challenge, but I told him we didn't need to go to the IRS because I already have a letter from the IRS indicating his mistake. When I produced this letter, he cursed me again and again, made up some story that I had made the mistake, threw an attack on my religious faith, cursed me again, and then told me to stop harassing him. I have his filthy emails and I'm prepared to share them. The person who wrote these email appears to be mentally unstable, or he simply wanted to appear insane and violent in hopes I wouldn't sue him in small claims court. If this agency did your taxes, get them looked over by a professional before it's too late. If you are thinking of having them do your taxes or any other work for you, good luck. If a problem comes up, be prepared to be blamed for the mistakes the agency made and get ready for some filthy insults that I can't put here.
