One operated on my dog cost me $800 I went to the veterinarian school in Minneapolis and they said they should have never touched that dog because it made it actually worse. It ended up my dog needed the equipment where they could go in take part of her jaw out and guaranteed me three more really good years and they were right. I was concerned about the operation but once I was at the veterinarians in Minneapolis I was not they did a great job. These two vets both of them should attack do not listen they do not listen. Cost me $800 and that was 20 years ago nope I went back one other time and the one at the river bad experience. We'll see how long this review stays up

I was shocked when the vet called back within minutes and said that someone would meet me at the clinic and that although she was almost home, that she would turn around and go back. Both were so incredible in their compassion, attention to detail and all bodily systems that could be affected. All aspects were openly discussed at a level that I understood and respectful of my almost 30 years of people medicine (complete with education of the differences between people and dog pathophysiology). From that first appointment to 4 days later when I had to say goodbye to him, the loving support and comfort the entire staff showed both me and Yeti truly made a difference to us and it's something I will NEVER forget. We were on vacation when our Golden Retriever hurt her nail. It was bleeding and she was unable to…read morewalk on it. When we arrived we were greeted with friendly smiles. They put us in a room where our Golden could be examined by the vet and his assistant. They determined that they needed to take the whole nail put and said it would take about 45 minutes. It took exactly that. Everything went well and our Golden's urgent situation was resolved. We really appreciate the prompt and professional attention we received. We aren't a regular patient because we live in Illinois, but they reacted to our need for help and we are so grateful!!!

They were absolutely right. Because I'm a little complicated to schedule sometimes, we've actually seen all five vets at various times. Each has been kind, caring, thorough, professional and expert. They won't let me diagnose her and request meds on the phone, which would be easier sometimes, but it's not about what's easy. It's about what's best for Tiki, and they hold to that standard always. When she tore her CCL, they carefully explained three care options. They did not push me to choose one over the others. They would have given the best treatment for any option I chose. I chose surgery, and her care was wonderful. There's a specialist who comes in from out of town to do this procedure for several veterinary practices in the area, and Westgate provided the before and after care. The whole staff was very patient when I would call with my many "worried Mom" questions afterward. I recommend them without reservation.

We took the dog, they did x rays,blood tests and determined the problem. Called us back and gave us options but recommended the least expensive option to try first.
