I sometimes get a bump under my eye and use to be able to use plexaderm on it. Now if I use it, it causes the whole upper side of my face to swell up. If I could give them 10 stars I would. This is my first time ever receiving Botox or any sort of injectables in my face and I was blown away with how well I was treated by everyone there. Kellie did my Botox and she was just incredible! She walked me through everything, spent so much time explaining what everything was, what it would do, how it would feel, how long for results, cost etc. And she was soooooo honest and didn't try to over sell me on anything. I went in there with a totally different idea of what I thought I needed done. she took one look at me and told me, that I honestly had great eyes and great cheek bones and that my face was very symmetrical and that I truly didn't need all these things I thought I did. She in fact suggested a cheaper idea of Botox in areas around my face that she thought would help with areas I was complaining about and give me a very youthful and feminine look. She even brought in Dr. Cheung for a second opinion, which she agreed with, just to help me see that there are so many other affordable options that can give you the results you want. I cannot say enough how much I just appreciated the honesty from them and the fact that they wanted me to look and feel my best and didn't try to oversell me on expensive stuff just to make a profit. They truly care about their clients! I am so excited for my results (said it would take two weeks to see the results) and for my follow up appointment. This is the place I will be going to from now on. Wonderful people, excellent customer service!!!! I am extremely unsatisfied with the this place. I did my lips filler full syringe for the first time but I absolutely did not like the result and wasn't what I asked for! My lips were wide and uneven and the bottom bigger than the top. I called the office and went back to talk to dr Cheung and unfortunately she did not care to provide me with any solution instead sent her assistant to give me another plan which is paying full price for another syringe! I walked away because wouldn't trust her work to touch my lips again!! After a month my lips were a total mass so I found another lady which was nice and professional. She had to dissolve all Cheung's work and do my lips from scratch! I feel so bad waisting my money here for nothing! The only reason I went to Cheung is because my hair stylist recommend her. I can't say enough good things about Cheung aesthetics and dermatology! The staff is patient and friendly, and Dr. Cheung is an artist. But the real reason I decided to take to yelp to write a review is because of aesthetician Jaime Cruse! I found her by doing laser hair removal. Avoid!!!! This place is a joke!! As you walk in you are immediately impressed with the office. Don't let that fool you. This doctor is only in it for your insurance money!! She will never speak to you over the phone....for example ....if you want to talk to her regarding lab results you have to make an appointment even if you were just there the day before!! AlI had lab results from another lab brought in and she tried to tell me she needed it to be drawn from her lab what scam is she pulling?? That's how they make their money by making you see the doctor all the time and charging your insurance. When she does see you she talks a mile a minute and has and ear phone in to talk/hear her staff!!! Her attention isn't even on you!! If I could give this place zero stars I would!! Unfortunately I am leaving a 1 star review BUT this has no barring on the facility itself or the amazing esthetician who gave me an amazing hydro facial, this review is for the office manager and how she handled an unfortunate incident. As stated I had an appointment for my hydro facial in which I was accompanied by my daughter. The visit was great. I left and wasn't until I arrived home that it dawned on me that I didn't pay for my service! I raced back to the office to pay for my hydrofacial I noticed a police officer but it still hadn't dawned on me. The nice receptionist greets me but I notice the women standing beside her has an attitude I pay for my services and ask " wait is he here because of me" at that point the officer manager sternly reply's YES and proceeds to tell me well you left without paying and we tried calling you but you were sending us to voice mail. It was an honest mistake on my part. I was at an earlier spa appointment in which I had a package for and I normally buy my services in packages. Well, I left my earlier appointment and didn't think twice when I left this appointment. Yes they were calling me however I don't answer my phone when I'm driving and the calls were coming from hindsdale, the spa is located in willowbrook so no i didn't answer and wouldn't because I'm driving! The officer asked the office manager what she wanted to do I'm assuming as far as pressing charges, in which she responded nothing. I left without incident however I returned within minutes to speak with the office manager because I don't believe she handled the situation correctly. I've spent around 3k in the past on services there and as I explained to her that may not be much to her or the office but there's ways to go about this considering my daughter had an appointment that following week for the same procedure. It was tacky and distasteful. I'm embarrassed that this happened but more so hurt in how the situation evolved and how it was handled by management. The price for the hydrofacial was 99.00. People go to this sort of Dermatologist because they are insecure about something: aging, beauty... Dr. Cheung takes full advantage of us shmucks. She'll tell you you have to be healthy on the inside to be beautiful on the outside. She'll run an entire panel of tests and then sell you vitamins, all not covered by insurance. Vitamin B-12 for over $70.00 a bottle. Why is a Dermatologist doing Hormone replacement therapy? Because no Gynecologist would ever recommend or do this procedure. Jessie talks a 100 miles an hour and she`s in and out like in a split second . They wanna sell you on a million different things , not really a dermatologist office more like a time share conference or Amway. I am so excited to see that Dr. Cheung has opened her own practice! I was a patient of hers at another location, and when she left I was heartbroken. I was actually hunting to see where she had ended up moving to, as I was ready to drive a distance to find her for my next derm appointment. Luckily, she is now located just down the street from my work! Hooray! Dr. Cheung is such a gifted doctor, with a great "bedside manner," calm, confident and knowledgeable. I made an appointment to see this Dr. after seeing an article in Allure magazine that quoted her. I traveled to Chicago and when I arrived at my appointment I was checked in and ushered to an exam room where an office assistant/nurse/employee or whatever he was - came in to speak to me about Dr. Cheung. I was told by this employee that Dr. Cheung was at a medical conference and was not in the office. I was in shock - the Office new I was traveling, knew I confirmed yet did not bother to check as to whether or not the Dr. was going to be...in the office!!! I was then given a complementary "aging skin analysis" by this state the art computer topography program to show my skin damage. This is a bunch of B.S. I have seen these machines, done these tests, gone under every "sun damage detector" you can think of and they are all the same: surprise! You have sun damage (btw - we all do, and do we really need a machine to tell us this? Especially at a dermatologist's Office who should know this??) the assistant was left with the tough task of trying to make use of my time with nonsense conversation and could not offer up enough apologies such as "yes I know". "We apologize" "they should have checked the schedule" really? Who cares! The fact is they were not sorry and did not care because I never heard a single word from this office again. I was then told I would receive a phone from Dr. Cheung herself first thing the morning she was back in the office and that he was going to personally forward my "skin mapping sun damage miraculous results" to Dr. Cheung who would personally review and discuss with me. Really? A Dr. reviewing a patient's results? Wow - this is a first in medicine - this office is special! When I checked out the front desk could not be more rude - as in did not even say a word to me - and I was give a $100 gift card from the assistant with whom I met and they sent me on my way. I will also mention that the office was in some strange Office complex where there is a myriad of offices of all kinds - unimpressive. Needless to say I never received a call from Dr. Cheung who was going to do an amazing analysis of my face! I never received an email from Dr. Cheung. I never received anything as a matter of fact other than a copy of the super advanced "free analysis" of my sun damage when I was at the office - who cares? It is worthless. I am a Skincare guru. I have been all over the world to many offices, spas etc and I myself have excellent skin. I know every "anti-aging" fillers, Botox, creams, facials - all of it - so I am not new to skincare and technological advancements. I decided to consult with Dr. Cheung for PDO threads since I was considering them. Not only did this office treat me terribly, I learned that Dr. Cheung has only been working with them for a very short period of time - very. I would be very very sure that any one considering this therapy consult with a competent and attentive office that is professional and a state of the art facility. I would also make certain that the medical professional using this therapy have at least 2 years or more experience - do your homework. Overall this was probably one of the rudest and unprofessional offices and Doctor, that I have ever experienced. I will point out that just because a Dr. is in a magazine does NOT make them a good Dr. it means they have a good PR person because clearly the mentions in the press do NOT match the office staff or the doctor. I decided to test the waters since PDO is complicated and I needed a place to start since they do not offer it where I reside. I should have stuck to my normal research and called people I know in and around the city. Lastly there is no possible way I would trust any Dr to use PDO on me if he/she can not follow up with a patient after receiving terrible treatment from her staff! NO THANK YOU. This is a new therapy in the US even though it has been in Korea for over 25 years and used to be performed in US and was pulled from the market for a while by the FDA. It has been used in China for decades and in Europe for a long time. Do yourself a favor and find a more professional office - there are plenty of good Drs out there who are not in these beauty publications and magazines. Do not be fooled. And do not go to this office. I am upset that I did not follow my own advice that I am giving here. It cost me time and money. read more

Very happy with my experience. Lauren was a wonderful Esthetician. My face has been very dry since I moved back to IL during the winter season. But since my appointment my face has been smooth and refreshed. I went to a holiday party and I got a ton of compliments on my skin. I absolutely love this office! Though it's a doctors office, it feels like a spa and the entire staff are so friendly! I recently received a BBL treatment from Tara. She was fantastic at explaining what to expect following my treatment and the long term benefits. The treatment was very easy with little to no discomfort at all and no down time! Tara was so knowledgeable and was able to identify problem areas that needed more attention than the others. BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE!! Dr. Cheung is a nice dermatologist and I was happy with her service but there is fraud being committed at this location. I had a 15 minute appointment with Dr. Cheung and this one visit was billed 5 times. So I was charged $115 for one office visit. And then I was charged $175 x 4 = $700 for 4 more office visits on the same day. When I noticed this charge, I called them immediately and figured it was a clerical mistake and would be taken care of immediately. I spoke to 4 members of the office staff and nobody will call me back. Finally, I was able to reach someone named Rigl who said these visits would be removed and he would call me back to confirm. A few days went by and he never called. Then I called back and spoke to someone called David, who said these visits did take place and I will be charged for them. Then I went into the office to speak to Dr. Cheung to let her know what's going on and they wouldn't let me speak to her. Then I was told they would remove two visits. These people are crooks. I just want to warn others. **PATIENTS PLEASE CHECK YOUR CLAIMS.** you will be charged for extra visits that don't exist. They would never give me the number to the billing department in California. I believe this is a wide-spread FRAUDULENT practice. I have filed an appeal with my healthcare company and I have filed two fraud complaints/charges against this office. I had terrible acne problems for a few years. I decided to finally see a dermatologist, I went to Dr. Cheung because it was the closest to my house. After one appointment my acne started clearing up, I was ecstatic! I felt like I was cured. Few weeks later, I went for a follow up appointment and Dr. Cheung wasn't satisfied yet. She prescribed me some more stuff and after a few weeks my acne was completely gone. It has been a few years and I have yet to have another breakout or a serious acne issue. This is not how you treat people especially during such a vulnerable time that we are in right now. I was treated unfairly by your office. I made a consultation and the day I would have had the consultation my nanny did not show up. (Nanny told me she had a family emergency.) I called your office and explained the situation only to be met by arrogance and saying I will be charged $250 regardless. I sincerely apologized for the situation as I had not forseen that something like that would happen but your office manager kept on saying "we will charge you regardless." I wanted to reschedule but you left me with no option to do so. During these difficult times I would expect more empathy and understanding. The reason I made the initial consultation is to have several treatments done but unfortunately you were not willing to meet halfway. I have been going to several doctors downtown where I live and I have never experienced this kind of treatment before. I would say it's bad business practice to charge $250 for a consultation that was disrupted by a unforseen situation and as a result miss on the opportunity to make thousands. I can guarantee you that this business model will not sustain long term. For the record I have disputed the charge and will involve our attorney if need be. read more
