The shampoo was great, and the woman who washed my hair gave a brief neck rub after that felt really nice (in addition to the scalp massage, during). They directed me to Tan for the actual haircut. He listened to what I said, took the photo I showed into consideration, and asked questions along the way. He asked where I part my hair and made sure that the length in front (and back, which was my biggest concern) was to my liking. I LOVE how he cut my hair because it's exactly what I wanted. I almost always get someone who gives me 80-90% of what I wanted, but it always misses the mark somewhere and this was absolutely perfect. The place is laid back and comfortable, friendly and not pretentious or snooty. I will most definitely be back.

I came across Studio 152nd after a quick search and after seeing they were open on my day off (my previous salon hadn't been, so I'd have to either arrive late to work or leave early because of the bridge closure), I wanted to get some more info. Tricia called me back and we were able to get something booked with a wonderful stylist called Julie. Julie was fantastic and gave one of the best and most exfoliating head massages I have ever received. It was worth the price for that alone - and that price is more than reasonable, my friends! The price of having my roots done and getting a quick trim was seriously like HALF of what I had been paying previously. Give a call to Manhattan Hair, and they will probably be able to fit you in in that day if not in an hour or two. The haircut I got was fine. Just basic but that's really all I wanted anyway. I think I would have paid for a shampoo if the lady had offered, but maybe she didn't have time. There are like 4 or 5 chairs at this place and it looks like they can support several stylists at one time, but when I asked the stylist about it, she indicated that she was now the only one there. So, chalk up another layoff to Covid I guess. In general, the small businesses in Normandy Park are really struggling to hang on, and can use all the support they can get. I think we are all hoping this thing will be over soon, and folks will start coming back to thier local businesses. Till then, please help the small businesses in yoiur neighborhood. So, good haircut, convenient location, (Right next to the QFC) and they obviously need as much business as we can give them. So for those reasons, I am awarding 5 stars.
