Not only was the cashier amiable but what's this: Krispy Krunchy Chicken I heard about on social. Yes, gas station chikin', it's alright! Light crunchy coating, good seasoning with a spicy little kick. Starved after the swim meet, Incinerator had a couple of pieces on the ride home. Oh yeah, I filled up my car too. Up-to-date pumps, competitive prices and heck, maybe to-go fried chikin'! Great location right off the freeway means you're back on 101 in a flash. read more

What makes this gas station great is it's easy access off and on the highway and with its several fueling lanes there's never a wait. This Chevron is clean and very well lit, paid at the pump, it didn't take a lot of time and was right back on the road again. Better than most and competitively priced for the area. Stopped here a few times now on trips through and plan to again whenever the need arises. 3.5 stars - rounded up for really great access to the highway. 00445 read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this gas station. I visited this station on Tuesday, Sept. 18th (at approximately 8:45am to fill up and add air to my tires before a business road trip. I pulled up to one of their pumps and started to fill my tank. I realized after a few moments that the gas stopped pumping after it reached $1.62. It just shut off. I then noticed another customer talking rather loudly with one of the server centers employees at another gas pump. They were discussing the situation about all of the pumps shutting down. The employee said this has been happening frequently and that she couldn't do anything but will call her manager. I waited for 10 minutes to see if anything was going to happen (so did the other customer at the employee's request). The employee never came back out to the pumps so, I went into the center building find out what's going on. The employee just said "Yeah, no gas is available right now. This has been happening a lot lately". I was already in a hurry and running late for a meeting in San Jose. I moved my car over to the air pumping station to fill up my tires. Guess what, it doesn't work either! Air comes out of the hose but the area where you insert the nozzle is broken and actually lets air out of your tires. I can't begin to tell you how frustrating this experience was. I had wasted enough time there and had to hit the road with less than a half tank of gas. I barely made it to San Jose for my meeting and barely had enough gas to get there. I was sweating it the whole way that I'd run out of gas. This is not a place to do any business in my opinion. I would not trust that you can get the items or service you need here. I also think I got ripped off for the $1.62 the pump said it pumped. I don't think any gas came out at all. I suggest avoiding this location altogether. read more

I won't be coming here again. The employees who work there have no idea what they're doing. I know what it's like - I've done customer service most of my life. The issue is how incompetent and unbelievably rude the cashiers are at this store, and how little humility is displayed. One employee rung up one of my items wrong - she had just checked the price and for reasons only she knows, two seconds later the price was higher. I asked her why the price was higher than two seconds ago and she just said "It's $1.79". I say, "Okay, but two seconds ago you told me it was $1.09. Why is it higher now?" "It is $1.79". "Okay, two seconds ago you told me $1.09, why is it $1.79 now?" "It's $1.79" No "wait, let me check it out", no "I'm sorry let me fix this", no "I'll call my supervisor to see what's going on". No eye contact. Nothing. None of that. Just grim-faced lack of customer service. And why is it that when something's wrong on her end, the grim-faced attitude is that I'M the one who screwed up? I decided not to buy the item. As I walked out of the store, I looked at the package price again. It did state the price: $1.09!!! So I went back and the other cashier helps me. I asked her to ring up the item and told her I already bought the soda I was holding. She rings in the correct price of the item in question AND charges me for the soda. Here we go again: I already paid for the soda, your total is blah. No, I already paid for the soda, okay your total is blah. I already bought this soda, your total is blah. I already paid, ohhhhhhhhhh you paid already. Yes, I already paid. But here's the part that sealed the deal of my never returning to this place: While I'm getting my money out the cashier asks the other cashier if I had already paid, right in front of me, in Spanish. So you think I don't understand Spanish? That behavior in front of a customer is rude IN ANY LANGUAGE. After her equally charming coworker tells her "Si", I looked up and said, "Yeah, I paid for it", with the implication that I understood what they were saying and that it was fucking rude. If someone is working in customer service, dealing with the general public, they have to be able to understand and speak the English language. You don't have to be a scholar, but you do have to be able to do more than scan something and read numbers. It's not the companies themselves that do hiring for those types of jobs - it's store or district managers. And a lot of nepotism goes on: people recommend brothers, sisters, in-laws, etc. Fine, that stuff happens. But in order to work with the public, there must to be a certain level of English competency such that a customer can ask a reasonable question, know they'll be understood, and be given a reasonable answer. That level of English competency is sorely lacking at the Corte Madera Chevron. read more

Very clean station with friendly staff and fresh food. Perfect quick stop by for people on 101 freeway. I'm stopping by almost daily and use their promotions like coffee and donuts for $1.99 . read more

Nice clean store, pumps, bathrooms very impressed. Unfortunately, their coffee lacks taste and punch, it's almost like drinking a glass of water. I've had Seattle's best, made it at my own house sometimes but I've never had it this bad before. I don't know what went wrong: I don't know if it was the person who made the coffee or the coffee machine itself either way something needs to be fixed. This is my only complaint about this location. read more
