He then proceeded to tell me that the price I saw was probably for a different container of ice cream. I told him it wasn't. The price said $3.49 for a pint of the Twix ice cream, but rang up as $3.69. It's only 20 cents, but it still feels wrong. Plus he didn't apologize for the price discrepancy, nor did he offer to match the price that was listed in the store. And I wasn't even being a jerk about it; I was just informing him that the price was incorrect. Anyway, the woman behind me was also purchasing ice cream. She asked if she'd get her ice cream for free if it also rang up wrong. Lol I likely won't go to 7-11 again. It was just a hot day that called for ice cream. Why the 2 stars instead of just 1? Well, the cashier was a jerk and didn't bother to even say hello, but the store (albeit small) was clean and organized inside.

It was busy but the line moved well, and it was not crowded, although it is a smaller layout floorplan wise. The staff were exceedingly friendly and cheerful, both times helping people quickly and efficiently and still managing to offer a "sample"! The pump offered an option to get a car wash for $22, so I hit yes. Turns out the car wash was closed. So I went inside and asked for a refund. The attendant called manager Carlos. The attendant said that he couldn't give a cash refund from the register and that Carlos promised to refund my card the following week. 2 weeks later, no refund. So I called, and after 2-3 phone calls, finally talked to Carlos. Carlos claims he told the attendant to refund me from the register and the attendant "misunderstood." Fine, refund my card then. "No, I can't. It has to be cash." Ok, I don't want to drive for 2 hours, can you mail me the cash? "No." Ok, will you or your attendant drive for 2 hours to refund me, since it was your mistake? "No, why would I do that?" Because you messed up! Not me! Waste of my time, unprofessional, don't make it right when they mess up. I would not risk going here. Carlos is awful.

In that sense, it's a good clutch market for those items. The store itself is small but laid out well. I really like the produce that they have outside, it gives small town vibes. Where Nugget lacks is in customer service. I have yet to meet a friendly or happy looking employee. I feel like this is something I've noticed more lately. On my trip today, the man stocking the produce had his cart in the middle of the produce section, so there was really no way to get anything. I asked him if I could slip in and quickly grab a few things, and he made a really off putting comment about if I could see he was working, etc. Yikes. I've also been rung up before where the cashier just is on auto pilot, no hello, no small chit chat. Nugget, you carry things we like, and you're close to our home. Can you please give your employees some customer service training, or some reasons to feel joyful? TIA!
