The wait for the car wash was ridiculously long, and when I got the premium car wash, I was treated to an 11 dollar water hose down. Thats what it seemed like because when I drove away I could still see the wiper lines on the windshield and bird poop the hood. Brushless wash is nice in theory, but it was a total waste of time and money....and my car is still dirty. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. I'm probably going to kick myself for writing this review, but this Chevron is A-OK in my book because of one reason - FREE AIR & WATER. Although the air comes out ridiculously slow and it will probably take you a good 10 - 15 minutes to fill up your tires with air, it's FREE and you don't have to worry about hunting between your seat cushions for quarters. The car wash is pretty good, but as far as affordability, I usually go to the Shell station right across the street to get gas. It averages about 3 cents cheaper than the Chevron. read more

I'm sitting in my car while waiting for a car wash. I normally wash my own car, but I thought this would save me some time and I wanted the "touchless" feature. Each car wash takes 6 minutes to complete. So when you see 4 cars in front if you, be prepared to wait 24+ minutes until your turn. I know this because I had all this free time while waiting for my turn. I could have washed my car manually 2-3 times while I was sitting and waiting. This Chevron is conveniently located on Hickey and the 280 North entrance so it is easy to get had and jump on the freeway. And it's not as busy as the other Hickey location at El Camino but the store is smaller. The restroom outside by the car wash is gross. Luckily, they have a clean one inside the store. All the gas pumps are usually in working order and there's room to maneuver your car around if you see a pump open up. The customer service is friendly and the prices are lower than the other station too. read more

This is probably my favorite gas station I go to. They have a great selection of snacks and drinks and the gas prices are fairly reasonable compared to the other gas stations in the area. They restock and keep the stations clean as well. The car wash is decent too, though on most days you can expect a long line of cars waiting for the car wash. The workers here are also very kind. It's quite embarrassing actually, but there was a time when I accidentally locked both my keys and phone in my car and the workers were kind enough to let me use the phone multiple times after calling a number of people to come pick me up. Gas price at the time of writing is cheaper than many. They are spacey by bayarea standard, so bigger cars can come here not feeling squeezed into a tiny corner. The carwash system is nice but they don't give you a discount for pumping at the station and the price ranges from $6-10. Not very cheap for a non-handwash. Conveniently located at the Hickey exit--thank God! I almost always push my gas tank to the very very drop. Probably not a good thing but thankfully Chevron is here to save me probably just when my car will die out on me for pushing it to the limit! This review is for the car wash. The line is extremely long on the weekends. Be prepared to wait for about an hour as there's always 6-7 cars in line and each taking 10-15 mins to wash, so you do the math if you decide to come this place to see how long the line is. As for the wash itself, I always choose the one that applies wax(clear coat). It's touch less so there are a lot of stronger chemicals that eat at the waxing of your car, so yeah...pick the one that sprays a small layer of wax after. The machine does a pretty good job of cleaning my car but leaves a trail of water/soap at the tail end of my car every time. I just wipe it off after when I'm getting gas. Overall, this place is pretty good and I go here for the touch- less feature. It cleans my car and waxes it. Good enough for a lazy dude like me who doesn't want to wash his own car! read more

The gas station itself was good but it doesn't provide discount when purchasing carwash unlike the one in hickey & el camino.

To be honest, this gas station is a bit pricey by few cents per gallon. They have car wash machines, it's convenient, but often times during some hours they have maintenance, so it really depends on what hours you drop by. I believe the price is 6 dollars, 8 dollars, and 10 dollars for car wash. The air and water is free here. Its at the corner where the 1st station gas pump is located. I don't know why I'm writing a review about a gas station but I'm so upset about their stupid car wash! Came here today at 11 in the morning and puurhased the cheapest car wash package which was the $8 option. There were 6 cars ahead of me. Since I didn't have anything to do, I decided to wait because I assumed it would be only 3-4 minutes max in the wash. 6 minutes went by and the car inside the wash still haven't came out. 10 minutes in and the car was STILL in there! I got out my car and went inside the store to ask if I could come back at another day to use the car wash code. At least the cashier was very polite and said that would be fine. If you need a car wash, go to Shell right across the street. Even if the line looks really long, it goes by SO much faster than Chevron's. No wonder everyone and their mamas line up at Shell over Chevron. So I pretty much wasted my $8 because I don't think I have the patience/ time to return. read more

The Wheel Works wash did not clean my wheels and I asked for a rewash. The attendant said it's a cheap wash and I shouldn't expect my wheels to be clean when I pay for the $12 wash that includes the Wheel Works wash. And he refused to give me a refund any cash back or a rewash. read more

I only came here to take advantage of Safeway's $0.20 per gallon discount on my gas. My car was dirty so I took advantage of the $6 basic car wash. Be aware that each car takes about 5 minutes to go though the wash so if there are already a few in line you can tell how long you will have to wait. read more

This review is for their touchless car wash. It was a sunny day, so everyone was getting their cars washed. So, I waited about an hour. When I was done, there was still soap on both sides of the back part of my car and the back of the trunk was barely washed. This was not worth the $10! I went to paid inside to fill up my van and got a car wash. I got side track and left to wash my car with in 5 minutes realize I didn't pump my gas. When back into the store to tell the attendant that I left and didn't pump my gas. He told me that some some pump my gas and that I lost my money! WTF canny you see on the cameras. He told me me that gas was at my responsibility and I lost out! Paid an extra 20 pump my gas and now I'm back in line to wash my car which took over 40 for just a few cars ahead of me this gas station. Is not up to par! Bad reviews for me! This gas station deserves NO stars but I don't get to have that option. Someone needs to teach the store clerks some manners. Especially that woman who works there Sunday day shift. She is one RUDE BIACHE'. I reported the carwash stopped midstream. She came back speaking Tagalog to the clerk referring to me as the "Stupid Girl". Little did she know I understand every word. These Filipinos have a problem with American born Filipinos who DON'T have an accent. They are very insecure about themselves that's why they have to be downright rude. I like the convenience of this location but recently was disappointed by their lack of ethics. I will take my service elsewhere from now on. On 6/1/2015 yesterday, I filled up with $48.00 on 12.977 gals of fuel at $3.69/gal. Today I find that my card was charged $101.00. Something fishy about this place or the employees running it...I usually get a receipt either at the pump or ask at the counter but this time was in a hurry and so I neglected to get a receipt. Now I'm hit with over double the charge on my card. I will be more careful in the future at any gas station I go to...lesson learned. read more

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a non-touchless car wash that won't scratch up your vehicle so I usually end up going here. As expected, touchless car washes don't clean as well as the traditional ones. However, that's the price to pay in order to avoid getting scratches. The drawback is that the touchless car washes use stronger chemicals in order to get the grim out of your vehicles. The harsh chemicals usually end up turning the plastics on my 1998 4Runner bleach white. Nothing Armorall can't fix, but it's too much hassle, especially when getting through the drain grills which are below the wipers. The snack shop and free air are a big plus, though. read more

This is, perhaps one of the laziest stores I've ever been to. The car wash is excruciatingly slow and the staff isn't too far behind. If you ever want to buy anything apart from gas (even that's questionable) such as lottery tickets at any given time during the day -- forget about it. If you ever want to use a particular door -- say one that's closest to your set of gas pumps --forget about it. If you ever want to question answered, directions given, or even a smile -- forget about that too. It's inexplicable how many times during the day one gas station can do 'inventory' covering up their lottery tickets so that you can't buy any even though they have their own cash register. Very nice staff, friendly and attentive. Nice little store and the car wash seemed nice (2 cars waiting). I've never shopped here because their prices are always higher (sometimes $.10 a gallon higher than right across the street). Plenty of space to move around, too. read more
