The gas pump picked the car wash for me. Can you say " Ghost in the machine"? I did not touch the screen. I did not want the Stampede car wash. I wanted the Bad Guy's Best car wash. The car wash and the Chevron store would not allow me to pay and upgrade the car wash nor would they give me my money back. I wasted 15 minutes trying to get it resolved. I will NEVER go here again. This location used to have an Oil Change shop a few steps away. We come here for gasoline once in a while. Have used the car wash only a couple of times throughout the years. It is good for what we need most of the time which is filling up the vehicles gas tank. We've never had any issues. It's conveniently located on a corner lot. read more

The main reason I give zero stars is because of the vacuums. They such because they don't suck...at all! Plus there is only one per car, not one on each side. You have to old school thread it through to the passenger side. It also doesn't stay on very long so you have to stop and go push the on button several times. I finally gave up since it wasn't picking up very well-wasn't worth wasting energy. My only complaints with the actual car wash is it's expensive for what you get and I'm the dryers at the end were useless. read more

Buyer beware!! Terrible Herbst is an terrible company to deal with. Manager Kyle Roehr was very rude and dismissive to me, a customer who has patronized his establishment for years. So unethical and shady. I usually get individal car washes but I was selling my daughter's car so I agreed to pay one fee for 30 days. I was told I was paying for a one time fee for 30 days of car washes. Noting was said of a reoccuring charge. I asked many questions to make certain I understood. I have been continually charged since December - 5 months. In all that time I never got another car wash. Of course because I had no idea I was being charged. When I called the corporate office, all I received was a run around. Rebecca did not assist me at all. When I talked with Kyle Roehr the manager of this car wash, he basically called me a liar. "My guys are highly trained and tell everyone it is a reoccuring charge" Be very careful. The company has NO regard for customers. I will not be returning. read more

"Terrible," not really! The staff is a hit and missed but lately they been very friendly however, this gas station is super busy during peak times usually 7-9am and 3-7pm. They only have 8 gas pumps and it's like an exodus of cars playing musical chairs trying to get gas. Recently the gas pumps have been updated but the whole station could use a remodel. The car wash center is busy but the staff are pretty much efficient in getting cars in and out in a timely manner. I do like the fact that the staff pre-wash/scrub your tires prior to entering the car wash facility. Another draw to this place is the self-serve vacuums. They are Free and only available during operating hours of the car wash center. It costs $23.95 for a smog check but they have a $5 off coupon, on their website, so it came down to $18.95. Had to get a Smog Check & Oil Change for my car this week and decided to stop by Terrible's. It was Saturday and very busy. I thought I was going to be here for hours. There were 2 cars ahead of me for the Smog Check and 6 cars waiting for an Oil Change. Good thing I had my iPad with me. I hunkered down for a long morning. I was pleasantly surprised when they called my name after 45 minutes! That's right, it took no longer than 45 minutes to get both an Oil Change and Smog Check on a busy Saturday! This place is great. I've been here a few times for an Oil Change, but for some reason have ignored it for a while.....that won't happen again. I called this Terrible's to see what they would charge for a synthetic oil change since I was nearby. They quoted me $34.99, I checked that that included 5qts of oil and a new filter and that it was full synthetic, they said, yes. I was expecting a total around fifty or sixty dollars for the oil change and tire rotation they quoted me. This is cheap for a synthetic oil change, but there was another garage I had a coupon for that had the same pricing so I thought they were just adjusting their prices to be competitive. But lo and behold the total is $105!! I told them I called and asked specifically and they quoted me 34 dollars. He said no, he talked to me on the phone and said 76 dollars. 34 and 76 are VERY different numbers. But he was adamant he had told me the pricing correctly and that I just mis-heard him. Do not go to this car wash !!you will waste at least the minimum $8 wash....their machine does not dry your car... the blowers do not work.. this happened to me twice there at this location ..there are not enough spots to park to vacuum so you have to wait and some of the vacuums have no suction. I came here for a quick hot minute for a smog check, since it was that time of the year to renew my car registration. This location was in between my next errand I had to do and having a hot pink postcard from this place of getting $5 off in the mail, I thought it can't be that "terrible" after all. So I gave this place a try. Luckily, I came here at the right time... NOBODY in line for a smog check in 100+ heat weather around 5p.m. Yes!!! The smog check is actually in the back of the Chevron gas station, which is adjacent to the car wash entrance. You'll see Big Lots when you drive in that direction and on the left are a few tents to park your car in or if you're the only one in line, you'll make a sharp u-turn to place your car in the right position (driver's side) to do the smog test. The mechanic/sales associate popped my hood and plugged in the tester under my steering wheel.. I swear it was less than 20 seconds and my car was done. Passed with flying colors and all I had to do was go inside to pay. It's regularly $19.95, but if you bring that hot pink postcard, it's $14.95 :) Nice.. So we've been going to a TH for changes near our house in Centennial Hills and found out our favorite person moved here and became manager at that! We happened to be in the area, so why not go where we know Kyle works and is cool as hell? It's never too busy, maybe just a car ahead and they get it done quick. They're super nice at that and even offered to change a light in the headlight if we just go grab the bulb at the store. I successfully made my objectives: quick service, full gas tank and a clean, shiny exterior. Wednesday afternoon at 4:15 PM, and this is a busy station. The lines of cars along Lake Mead and Rampart are multiplying. Yet, I was able to pull to a gas pump without waiting for one to be available. The car wash was a swift experience too! It's my lucky day. After 9 car washes, the 10th is free! Word to the wise, since this is a fast pace site, watch out for two incidences that may reoccur. First, the gas pump receipt tape was empty. This irks me as it is very inconvenient to unbuckle small children and carefully maneuver across a hustling passage way for moving cars. Isn't there a notification that rings with a message, "Insert receipt tape at pump 3"? Also, beware of unobservant drivers. I came here around 6:30pm this Saturday for a car wash. I paid $14.00 for the works + Air Freshner. The kid scrubbing my truck missed a lot on my truck! He did not get the front of the truck, the windshield, the rear window or the rear tailgate. After the car wash, I had like 10 minutes to vacuum before they turned it off. When I was done I saw the had missed spots and I was going to talk to the girl at the window to get another go through to fix what they missed. I find it weird that I would review a gas station since its only gas, but this station has the Oil & Lube, Car Wash and Smog Services. I usually come here every year to get my smog checks done, they are fast :) Its usually 19.95 for your smog test if you pass, and I believe its like 13.95 if you fail.
