This small shop located in Las Vegas in the California Hotel has been selling Jerky snacks and seeds for years Thier selections aren't as many as othe seed and Jerky shops. In the area but is convenient If you're staying in the downtown area. Enjoy

Their hours of operations are from 10am-6pm and I missed it by only 6hrs :,(

Love coming here whenever I'm in Vegas. Especially when I've moved from Hawaii Nei to Texas for several years now, it brings back some goodies that I've missed so much. There are a lot of goodies to choose from, but I love their beef jerky and the assorted chocolate gummy bears the most. Overall, pretty expensive for this local boy, but worth grabbing when in Vegas and craving for these snacks. Staff are very friendly and nice. Normal hotel parking, but it's free when validated when you purchase a minimum for $35+ or something like that. Located in the California hotel.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there's a shop like this in the California Hotel which is located just a stones throw from Fremont Street. So many Hawaii folks flock to this hotel so it's pretty fitting that this is here. Haha. I wouldn't have known about this place though if it wasn't for my aunty who apparently purchases their beef jerky all the time as pasalubong/omiyage for family in Hawaii. Kind of backwards I think, but if it's good, it's good I guess! Anywho, Vegas 808 is located on the 2nd floor of the California hotel right next to other shops that would make any Hawaii local feel kind of 'at home' so to speak. It's a small shop, but it's packed full with similar goodies you'd find in crack seed stores in Hawaii like various gummy candies covered in li hing mui powder, ume/lychee/pineapple chewy candy, rock salt plum, etc. There were other treats too that I don't think are as common like kiwi slices, rainer cherries, li hing mui mango sour belts, rainbow twists, etc. After reading a few of the reviews, I kind of wish I did get a pack of the beef jerky just to see what it's all about. Maybe next time. I did walk away with a big bag of white chocolate gummy bears though! I don't see it very often in stores and I'll buy it any chance I get. A bag did set me back $9, but that seems pretty standard for chocolate covered gummy bears! It was big enough to where I couldn't finish it all in one sitting and I was able to enjoy it over the course of a few days. If you're hankering for some treats to remind you of Hawaii this is the spot! Surprisingly, they also do Apple Pay :)

Best tasting Lop Chong

Go see Tiger's shop Vegas 808 here at the California Hotel. Sure he is all the dried seeds or see mui you want to have. But the main reason is his delicious Lup Chong made daily here in Las Vegas. It comes in Regular or spicy. The spicy is wow tasty. They are made with 100% pork with no fillers and fat. Just about the best Lop Chong (Chinese sausage)

Why would people from Hawaii buy Hawaiian type snacks? Answer: Omiyage! When you return home to Hawaii, the custom is to bring something back from your travels to give to family, coworkers, and friends. Vegas 808 is a very convenient store for this purpose. Hawaii locals are known for multicultural snacking. We know the best foods from almost every culture. This shop has arare, lup cheong, mochi, beef jerkey, cookies, candies, nuts, dried clams, cuttlefish, preserved veggies and fruits, etc. The variety is amazing! Credit cards are accepted and shipping is available. The service today was lacking. ..Most times it's friendly... just saying... Prices are not the best, but it's so conveniently located inside the California Hotel on the Mezzanine Level. It's a one-stop shop for every palate! Yum yum!

PROS +Awesome selection of beef jerky +Good hours-open fairly late +Wide variety of snacks available +Shipping services available for orders over $100 (they pack the box for you) CONS -Discontinued selling bagel chips -Items are a little pricey -Customer service not all that great I have to agree with Nathan N's review-you can get a lot of these products from Hawaii. If that's where you're visiting from, you can probably skip a trip to this store unless of course you need a beef jerky fix. That's probably the only thing I will go for the next time I'm in this area. They have a nice variety of beef jerky that comes in a couple different sizes. They also have beef jerky nuggets which I'm not particularly a fan of because it's kind of on the wet side and not as dry as traditional beef jerky. The store is convenient if you're staying downtown LV as it's located on the second floor of The California Hotel & Casino. Although they have a wide variety of snacks, I don't plan on shopping there regularly when I'm in town as I found myself automatically comparing it to Wholesale Unlimited, which is a local store in Hawaii that carries all of these snacks and even more. Wholesale Unlimited is a Vegas 808 on steroids. However, if you haven't tried any of these local Hawaii snacks, you should definitely stop by Vegas 808 because they do offer a lot of snacks you wouldn't normally find at a grocery or convenience store in Las Vegas.

My sister in law told me about this place that sales these awesome beef jerky, so she bought me a package specially the HOT BEEF JERKY and I gotta say it's sooooooo delicious if your ever in Vegas stop at the California Hotel Casino on the 2nd floor and grab you a few bags a variety of yummy flavors

Lup cheong $9.50

We always come here whenever we're in Vegas and we always get the lup cheong. It's the best lup cheong I've ever had and I've tried a lot. This one is so flavorful and not overly oily. It's pricey but worth it.

Hidden Gem! #haul @Vegas808 (Hotel California, Vegas)
Justin C.

This is a convenience store specializing in Hawaiian kine and unique Chinese & Japanese treats. Vegas 808 has a long history in Las Vegas, 46 years in fact, according to the store owner, Tiger! I found a true gem thanks to other Yelper's recommendations, and I am so looking forward to tear into my haul of snacks, including jerkys, matcha green tea almonds and butter toffee nuts. It's at the top of the escalator in the Hotel California in Old Vegas (Fremont), a local Hawaiian favorite spot!

This place is great but- There is so much stuff that it is actually hard to find the things that you are looking for. I also didn't notice signs to direct you to particular countries or even continents. The biggest problem with shopping here are the very tight aisles. Checking out can be challenging for some because it is like a maze with all kinds of things in your way so you have to figure it out. Hey, y'all…read more Y'all... I guess I've been living under a rock because I'm just now finding out about Cheongdam Food Hall! Where have I been?! If y'all don't know by now... "y'all" is one of my favorite words and yessss... I'm gonna keep saying it! Listen... I need y'all to interrupt your regularly scheduled program and check this place out. There's SO many different restaurants under one roof that you'll probably end up standing there trying to decide what to eat. I ordered from Eki Ramen, and when I tell y'all this ramen was RAMENING! Aka delicious. Aka... fire I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, and as you can see from the menu, it was only $12.95. I added an extra egg, extra pork belly, and extra black garlic oil because... why not? Anywhoddles with the extra "trimmings" it came to $18 dollars. Let's get back to the review Now let me tell y'all about this broth. It tasted authentic to me. It was rich, velvety, silky smooth, creamy without being heavy, and bursting with savory goodness. Every sip had me closing my eyes because I didn't want to miss a single flavor. The noodles had the perfect bite--not too soft and not too firm. The pork belly was tender, flavorful, and had just the right amount of char around the edges. And those eggs? Whew! Perfectly jammy with that beautiful golden yolk. This entire bowl was comforting, satisfying, and worth every penny. So... if you're a ramen lover--or if you've been thinking about trying ramen for the first time--I highly recommend giving Eki Ramen a try. And while you're there, take your time and explore Cheongdam Food Hall because there are plenty of other restaurants waiting to be discovered. Until next time... y'all already know what time it is! I'll be doing a boomerang back to this spot because there are way too many restaurants in this food hall for me to stop at just one!
