Sometimes I don't even know why I bother coming here, but then I get lazy and I spontaneously appear here. And as many others have said before, this place is ridiculously expensive. I understand they were only one of 3 in the whole downtown area a few years back, of which only 2 ever worked. Fast fwd to present day, we have at least 7 and these aholes are still in business, times have changed you ********, change your damn prices. Prices are on average a $1 more than anywhere else, and $1.25-$1.50 more in summer months, close to $6. Went up to the window & let the night clerk know I had a little list {due to the fact that everywhere else is closed..(COVID)}. Started off by giving him the first 3 things to gather. This included a cup of noodles which I asked him to go ahead and start microwaving so it would be done by the time we finished with the rest of the list.{{ Let me pause I want everyone to know I felt bad about my little list for 5 people, so I was being overly nice to the guy.}} He proceeded to tell me that he was cleaning the microwave right then and if I wanted my cup o noodles cooked, I had to wait until 7 when they opened. Before realizing what time it was I said "okay I can wait till you're done cleaning." I mean, how long does it take to wipe down a microwave, right? He threw a quite nasty "fine-you want to wait till 7?" I realized then 7am was AN HOUR AWAY!!! "Hmm..okay we'll skip thaaat.." and proceeded naming off other items on my list. With each item he got ruder and ruder {which was absolutely unnecessary since they were the most basic of things & not that many}. Suddenly, Chevron didn't carry any of the items. Example: When asked to get some sour skittles, which of course was rejected as well, I then said "well why don't you just pick out some sort of sour candy please." To this he replied.."I don't know what that means".."if you can't be specific I don't know what to tell you".. my last straw was when I asked for 6 Reese's Fast Breaks. I got a "we don't carry that anymore"....quite interesting since we just bought them the day before from the same gas station. Unreal. I can understand if I was being rude or crazy towards the guy. But reality is he should be thanking his lucky stars it was me there with that attitude he was serving me. I simply have up, walked away and logged into Yelp! read more

The overpriced gas is one thing. The rude and disgraceful staff is another. I stopped here to fill my tank with fuel - though I could have easily made it to another station. I did so because my 6 yr old had to go to the bathroom. Arturo, the guy working there, told me I had to go across to Olavera St. I did so while my wife filled up with gas. She then moved the car when she finished. When I returned, Arturo harassed me to move my vehicle out of their station or he would call 911. I reminded him that he sent me to Olavera St so my daughter could go to the bathroom. He told me, "I don't give a f!&k abou your family". Avoid this place at any cost. read more

Not only did I have to pay a fee of $20 for sending the money but the receiver also has to pay another fee in order to receive the money from this location. Western Union is aware of this scam and is in the process of dealing with it. In the mean time stay away! Went to the post office on Alameda and Cesar Chavez; thought I would go right across the street to get gas...HELL NO. The cheapest unleaded was $5.79/gallon; pulled right out; but I really wanted to go in and question them. Went South on Alameda about 6 blocks and found a Valero; same grade of gas cost $4.09. The only explanation I can think of as to why gas here is so high is because the federal and city buildings are nearby. Gas for government vehicles are paid for with tax payer dollars. Holy sh*t this place is crap. Not only is the gas expensive but they have a sign saying public parking, pay the cashier inside. This place is incredibly small and guess what? They have about 10 f*cking cars blocking the freaking driveways making it almost impossible to even get in!!! Had to wait for a employ to get out of the office to move a huge suburban that was blocking the entrance, THE ENTRANCE! Not only is this a serious pain in the ass but I'm pretty sure this is incredibly unsafe and should probably get reported.
