I went this Saturday, First off, they were out of wax and have stopped offering certain services (RIP to the quality since the cutie left, honestly). After a one-hour wait, I finally got my car back and had to remind them to spray the good-smelling stuff. They did--barely. Then the real nightmare started... The next day, my car smelled HORRIBLE. Like skunk meets spoiled milk. Absolutely disgusting. And no, there's no food in my car, and my kids weren't even in it for days. So this stench? Not me. I have a strong suspicion it's the mats--maybe they're using filthy water or dirty rags, and the smell just rubbed in. Whatever it is, it's burned into my soul because this is not the standard I pay for or expect. Bottom line: Save yourself the headache (and air fresheners). This was my last visit.

How this place hasn't been health coded is beyond me. The bathroom is carved up, dirty and almost always missing basic toiletry like paper and soap. The gas prices are okay but there has already been an incident of fraud from this location. Look up "Pinole 7-11 gas station glitch". People being charged literal thousands for gas by "accident". In California the highest octane you can choose is 91 and at Shell its labeled as 91 nitro. I highly suggest you choose this one when regarding performance for your car and plus the "nitro" sounds cool! In California Gas isn't looking to cheap right now but at this gas location with a purchase of a car wash you can get 20 cents off every gallon pumped so in my head why not and went with it since the bugs on the front grill won't come off by themselves! I ended up selecting car wash as well and noticed instantly on the gas reader 20s cents off the original price disappeared! After pumping my gas I got the receipt with the code for my car wash and pulled into the car wash window typed in my code and proceeded to enter with a green light letting me know its safe to enter. As soon as I saw the red light I instantly stopped parked my car and sat back and watched a beautiful Water show from my front windshield. The car wash was literally 5 minutes with a extra 3 minute dry time where the dryer actually got off all the droplets. As soon as I got the green light I proceeded through and on my way to enjoy my day with a fresh wash and a full tank of high octane fuel where you can really feel that extra boost! The best gas out there and some great car washes where you can save big while doing both! They also have your typical convenience store items in here as well such as your snacks, drinks, and food. Background: I've been going to this gas station for the last 8 years, and have spent thousands of dollars using their touchless car wash, with plenty of receipts to show. Issue: Their touchless car wash usually work majority of the time, but anyone reading this, most likely know that their car wash machine will exhibit a malfunction every now and then. The issues often vary like, low water pressure, no soap, no air dryer, no pressure wash at entry. As most folks know, malfunctions are normal with any automated machinery, and that's okay -- it's not the end of the world. The employees here understand that the car wash will break from normal operation, and they do their very best to try to fix things. I appreciate that they actually take the time to observe and troubleshoot. Given that they recognize me as a regular patron, they understand that something is wrong when I raise any issues to them. Kudos to the staff for having the common sense of understanding technology and machinery. The issue I have is mainly with the owner of the business. He seems to be the type of person who's never been wrong in his life, and his natural instinct is to have a condescending defensive reaction. For the 2nd time in the last 2 months, I've been told to go somewhere else instead of acknowledging that the car wash machine isn't perfect. His main resolution is to offer a refund rather than rectify. An offer for a refund is certainly not a bad thing, but also not the best way to handle the situation. He is always adamant that his car wash indicator at the register isn't showing any errors, so everything must be working well... Being in the Software Engineering space specializing in troubleshooting and diagnostics, I would love to teach the business owner some basic logic, but this would be somewhat pointless for someone who always feels they're right. I normally purchase batches of 2-3 Premium washes, which was previously priced at $12, and was later increased to $14. The price increase didn't stop me from continuing to support this local business. Yet, the owner has the audacity to claim he loses money every time I report a car wash malfunction. With his wish for me to take my business somewhere else, I will gladly comply this time around, but here's a nice review for others to see before I go.
