Well, everyone is fighting to get customers and have low price guys gas. They are never quite what Costco always seems to be able to offer that problem. I'm so happy that while I'm shopping after or before I can swing in and fill my tank up. I did this today because I don't want to be looking for a gas station on the Christmas week. Solid spot where I stopped to fill up while road-tripping through Northern California in late July after driving up from Los Angeles. I passed a couple of other gas stations on purpose just to get to Costco and it was worth it. Gas was "only" $4.04 a gallon, which felt like a steal compared to most other stations along the way. I pulled in around 6:30pm on a Friday night expecting a line, but to my surprise there wasn't one at all and that's basically unheard of at my local Costco gas station back home. The pumps were easy to get to, the area was clean, and everything worked quickly and smoothly. This location is a little tucked away, but if you're nearby it's absolutely worth the stop for what I assume is consistently cheaper gas. read more

A fine and regular Costco gas station right before you go across the Bay Bridge into San Francisco so it's a good place to get reasonably priced gas before you head into the city especially if you need to drop off a rental car. Lines were mostly ok, but outrageously long on the Tuesday late morning when we stopped here, but I imagine it could be much busier on the weekend. Hopefully not. The quality of the gas is good and the station is clean and pretty organized for a smaller lot it seems. There's an attendant so we could get help as needed, and you can always request service as needed, but usually we don't need any assistance. Costco consistently has the cheapest gas in the area! I use Gas Buddy to compare gas prices and it is always a good deal at Costco. The lines can be long especially on the weekends. I recommend going early mornings or late at night. As well choosing the furthest to the left lane which often moves faster because there is a pileup towards the right. read more

As far as Costco gas goes, usually have good prices depending on the area you're in. This is a smaller gas station compared to others. Prices are reasonable. There are usually 2 attendants at any given time to assist members. Today the prices were decent and lines were not that long. Since this is the only Costco in the area, it can get busy. I love coming here for my gas because they have the best gas prices in the area. Also, they redid the pumps so each lane has three pumps instead of two, so the waiting times in the long lines has decreased drastically. I also like the lights on the pump, which let you know which pumps are empty (green) and which ones are being used. This gets rid of the guesswork. The only thing for me is that they don't have the ability to scan my Costco info using my smartphone app. That means that I have to hold on to my Costco card, as it bends and warps in it's old age, but the gas is good. read more

The gas is fine. The prices a tad higher than Costco in San Leandro. Zone pricing? Whatever. They have one driveway to enter the gas section. Once in, it separates into eight separate lines. The first three islands on the left have three pumps on each side. The fourth island on the right has two pumps. All of the islands have a sign at the entrance showing which pumps are available or occupied. It always bewilders me how so many other drivers will try to change lanes to avoid waiting two or three minutes longer (their perception) because a pump in another lane opened up. They will risk their own wellbeing and their vehicles to save those precious minutes. Maybe Costco could put up a tally board to notate how many fender benders occur per week. read more

This is hands down one of the rougher Costco Gas Stations. The main reason is its limited in and out always results in huge lines. We have been here 4 times and its pretty much the same. This particular time it was even worse given some fo the pumps were blocked off resulting in further delays. That being said if you are here to shop and need gas the wait may be worth it read more

Costco Gasoline always has great prices and is hard to beat. Generally, I have found that Costco Gas stations are also the cleanest and well kept of any gas station I have been to, making it a pleasant experience when I fill up. Having owned many cars and trucks that get less than 10MPG, I have had the pleasure of filling up at Costco many times. Since living in the East Bay, I have found that the Richmond Costco Gasoline is the closest and most convenient to where I am located. Prices are good and it is always clean. Lines here are also pretty short, even on weekends in the middle of the day. There are 3 rows of 3 pumps on each side and a single row of 2 pumps on each side. It generally goes fairly quickly and I am in and out within 15 minutes tops. One thing to note about this Costco Gasoline is that it is very windy. It is located right next to Point Isabel and if you are wearing a hat you may lose it. I recommend leaving headgear in the car. read more

I'm not a Costco guy, but I did attempt to get gas here. I don't even have a membership, however my sister does. A number of my Yelp peeps give it 4 stars+. You have to enter from the street, so I guess it's best to go there before shopping. The line was backed up all the way to the parking lot entrance. I was in line for a bit, but decided having my whip at idle just negated the cost saving. I don't even know the price per gallon, but it must be cheap. During construction this particular Costco has been a complete mess! Lol I'm sure after the construction, everything will get back to normal. The employees all seem to be nice and understanding. Especially when everything switched in the parking lot with the entrance/exit getting to the gas station portion of the lot. Lol it was a bit of a nightmare but hopefully that second entrance/exit will stay open now that the roundabout is set up in the middle area of the parking lot for three traffic. I hope the drivers all understand you do not drive up and over the circular roundabout and instead go with the flow like they do in Europe with them. Do not come to this Costco Gas station! I drove to this Costco Gas station this past Friday and got a flat tire because of a massive 8" by 8" pothole in the road leading to the gas station. It is not an exaggeration to say that the road to the station is a minefield of potholes. It's pretty remarkable that Costco hasn't bothered to address this issue at all. Whenever I have the chance I head here to get gas. The membership fee alone you will make back in like two or three months just in gas savings. Food court is always sweet here and very inexpensive. I usually get the chicken bake then actually cut it open and put onions and relish from the hotdog condiment station into it. Come here on weekdays if you can to beat the lines because it can be insane especially on holidays. Hard to shop here for just one person but I buy as much healthy food as I can so I'm forcing my hand to cook/healthy and inexpensive. Always GREAT deals on craft beer here. read more

Richmond Costco's gas station is located on the outer edge of the store property. The lines were only about two cars deep on a Sunday afternoon. So the wait was not as bad as I had expected. Cheap gas is cheap gas. And so close to the Dog Park! As far gas pumping etiquette, I worked at my Dad's service station for years. It's perfectly OK to drag the hose over the vehicle and to the other side. I've seen it many times and done it myself in whatever way it keeps customers flowing efficiently through the lanes. Who doesn't love Costco Gas. There are multiple pump lanes, super cheap gas (seriously best value), plus it's located right across the warehouse where I can get cheap eats, good value household items, and great gift cards. The only Con is that they don't have the windshield washer wipers here. However, I'll give them a pass since the good value gas makes up for it. I almost always go here either early before work and it is almost always empty with no to little wait. However, it's 5:15pm on a Saturday and the wait time is pretty good. I'll make this review very short! I love Costco and Costco has but always hate the long lines. I recommend coming when back just opens up on the AM only unless you have time to kill or it's an off day likes Tuesday afternoon but then lots of businesses are buying in bulk so the lines might still be really long. However, gas today was $1.99 I mean seriously when would you think you would see $1.99 for gas again? I haven't seen that since the late 90s early 2000s but I made sure to fill up all the cars today with prices this low because we all know they won't stay this low forever!
