Walked in on 6/17/26 at 11:50am and was greeted by Daniel. A very nice, pleasant young fella. The process of me getting gas, and couple of lottery tickets was fast, quick and effortless. I normally don't go to Chevron, but since it was on my way to where I was going, I stopped to buy gas in the amount of $30.00. Had a small talk with Daniel, grabbed my lottery tickets, got my gas and left. All the pumps were working fine, it had a very tiny mini market called Rocket. Inside of the mini market was fully stocked and clean. Same goes for the gas station. I didn't know that they are affiliated with Vons, or else I would have used my rewards program. It's ok, maybe next time. They also had good deals on water and some stuff inside the mini mart. They have a cute small window and 2 different entrances..if you don't want to go inside the gas station. Thank you Daniel & Chevron. My pump number was 4. read more

Solid Chevron on Ventura Blvd/Van Nuys Blvd and you can enter from either side. The layout is fairly wide making is super easy to get in and out. They have a small convenience mart (Rocket) that's well, convenient. Prices are surprisingly reasonable being in a major part of Sherman Oaks. Never purchased lottery related items here so can't speak to others experiences. Even when its busy it's typical a smooth in and out. read more

Get your receipt after pumping , when I went inside to claim it. Cashier woman was making faces and repeated the amount, I wanted my receipt for safety purposes that's all and I was entitled to it . I had an experience where I was being charged more of the amount of the gas' cost in a different gas station in the past. Secure your amount of your gas tank and keep an eye to get your receipt to avoid any issues. read more

For about the 10th time in the last year, I rolled in around 8:30 p.m. to find the station 'closed'. But it was not really closed , the lone employee was on his dinner break and did not want to be bothered with dealing with customers. I was told by another employee that they are on the clock at all times at this location, so this is just pure laziness. I had a terrible experience at this Chevron Rocket gas station. Today September 30th around 6:30 p.m., I tried to buy $30 worth of lottery tickets and handed the cashier a $100 bill. She refused the sale, saying she didn't have change, and spoke to me with a very hostile, unfriendly attitude. Every time I go in this gas station the young Hispanic lady is very rude and treats me as if I am not allowed to buy anything or look around. When a person walks in speaking Spanish she acts a lot differently. This is not the first time. read more

Chevron with Techron. I thought it was a gimmick until I got a tank of gas to clean my fuel injectors. It worked!

ANother nice Chevron station I get to yelp about. I stopped here a few weeks ago after leaving from somewhere. Good decent gas pumps here to fill up on. Get to use my credit card with no problem. Pretty busy place near the freeways and shopping strip malls. Customer service was good. Will be my go to spot to fill up in the Valley. read more

Air pump didn't work 2 separate times within a few years try. Both times.

I still have never received even an apology from this station. They mixed up their Supreme pricing and their Plus gas, and i just picked the most expensive one assuming that would be their best gas. I will NEVER go to this station again, since they not only made me come back twice (three times if you count the original complaint) and promised me the manager would be there each time, and he/she was not there. They really don't care about their customers, and so I will not be one. read more

This gas station has one of of the lowest prices I've seen in the valley. There is is a price different between having a chevron card and using you own debit or other credit card, but for those with a chevron card it is worth it, and especially if you have a vons card as well to get that extra discount. Gotta get as much bang for your buck, right!? The service is average and it can get pretty busy, but if you are patient, you should have no problems. read more

I can't believe I'm writing a gas station review but I felt compelled to, My local gas station me and my wife used to pump gas never again. I got a flat tire and pulled up desperately made it and tried to pump air to see if it would so I can make it to tire shop down the street... paid $1.50 to pump air didn't make a difference. So I asked the young man if he would mind if I park in the corner to change my flat. You'd think they see it all the time...but no What kind of gas station doesn't let you park there to change a flat tire?? I wouldn't have even asked if t wasn't a huge size gas station with multiple empty spots that were out of the direction of any pump and I have a compact car on top of that He used ever excuse when I point to different spots on the premises the Indian employee told me "that spot is for the boss" he could come anytime. It's so sad these days that no one is truly willing to help others and by help I mean parking you car in the corner of a gas with empty spots available for 30 min to change a tire All I have to say Mr.Singh that karma will come to bight you in the ass one day when the tables are turn and you need help and you didn't even need to help all you had to was allow someone to park somewhere for 30 min that was in need that was a consistent customer and gave money to your Bussiness Good riddens, Yelp should really allow you to give 0 stars to people like this that treat other like crap! read more

This place is a total scam. If you value your hard earned cash do not pump gas at this location because what you see on the sign is not what you will pay when using your credit card. I am writing to the attorney general about this fraud scheme because as you can see from the other Yelpers this is an ongoing issue. This gas station is shady, and I'm not a fan of companies that deliberately mislead the public. I was driving down Van Nuys heading to the Shell (love using my Ralph's Rewards Points!) when I saw that this place was a little cheaper. I decided to save my Ralph's points and gas up here instead. (I'm in outside sales so I fill up about three times per week - every penny counts!) I was about to fill up when I noticed that the price at the pump was 10 cents higher than the price on the sign out front. As I check the big sign again, I see in tiny letters something about you getting that price if you have a Chevron Credit Card or something. (I could be wrong about how you get that price - but you have to have something!) I hate it when places do that! The price at the Chevron pump was the same as Shell's normal price on their big sign. Even though I had to go around the block to get back to the Shell and the normal prices were the same I did not gas up at Chevron. I refuse to support businesses that are so desperate to make a buck that they have to deceive people. read more

It's a gas station... The reason I am writing this review is because the gas station attendant could use a little more improvement in the customer service department. I went to the station because I needed more air in my tires - and yes, I admit it, I don't know how to put in air in my tires. I drove in and parked my car in front of the air pump. I walked over to the gas station attendant (an older gentleman with greying hair) and asked him if he could assist me. He was sitting on the curb of one of the gas pump areas. He looked up with irritation and and said, "$5." Now, this was shocking to me as I have been to other gas stations and usually they provide this service for free. Given, I automatically tip $5 for their trouble but no one else has ever asked for money. Maybe this is standard practice now... read more

This is a solid gas station. Pretty good prices for the valley, and a good location. Right on the corner of Ventura and Van Nuys, it's easy to get to and not usually crowded. They have a good supply of oils and other products for your car, if you're into that. The best part was totally unexpected; I went today and 2 hot girls that worked there cleaned my windshield for free just because it's the holiday season. This Chevron gas station in Van Nuys or Sherman oaks (I dont know what the city limits are because Im not from around here...but its on the corner of Van Nuys and Ventura Blvd. I spent only $16.00 of Gas and it charged my credit card $75.00 and it has not adjusted back to the $16.00 amount that I initially spent and a week has gone by and still no adjustment has been made. SHADY!!! As another person said, I can't believe I'm writing a gas station review! Now I see all these reviews and wonder how corporate hasn't checked up on them by now! Hey Chevron, heads up!! Stopped for air (hmm... like some other reviews here) and paid the buck to their machine for air. The nozzle was leaking air, more leaking out than coming in. Never had that happen before. Nozzle doesn't fit at all, like the end is missing or something. Keep trying but now my tire pressure is half of when I pulled in! Like magic here comes the "helpful" attendant who tells me more or less "this kind of car doesn't work with that air machine but maybe I can help." I tell him I have gotten air before in this car so what is he talking about? He gets weird and shady and after some back and forth he lays it out: "I can probably help you if you buy full serve gas." Are you kidding me? You're holding me hostage for a tank of your full serve when I already paid you for air? First of all buddy, these are run flat tires, so I'm out of there! Second you're an a-hole. Third you're an a-hole. Fourth through ninth, you're an a-hole because taking advantage of people when they're in trouble sucks. Tenth, I go down the road to the Shell at Coldwater, pull in and get air for free, then fill the tank there as I was going to anyway. There's your stupid $35 gone for nothing. So you're not only out that tankful, but my and my family's business forever. That was worth that fill up of $35 for you? And now reading these reviews, it looks like I should go back and check my credit statements for FRAUD? CHEVRON, CHECK IN ON THIS STATION. Honestly......what is WRONG with this place. Today was the last day I could use my vons rewards and I work right across from this location. So like, lucky me right?! Dead wrong. When I attempted to pump gas, it does not let me enter my rewards number, so I go inside and ask them to apply it for me and, after standing there for 10 minutes with the girl (that I believe is her first day on the job), and a man that would keep yelling from behind the door instead of coming out to see if he could help her, I was told "well if you'd like to get gas go ahead but you won't get the discount." She then tries to tell me that will be $30. OK so... Man talking from behind door... Why would I want to pump gas at regular price when I had specifically mentioned today would be the last day I can use my rewards... Clearly I'm not trying to pay crazy California is ridiculous gas prices without my discount. Then he decides to tell me to go elsewhere and there's nothing else they can do. OK no problem. So why was my card charged? They need to get this place together because it's a mess. I honestly wouldn't of cared if they weren't so rude about it. I've been filling up gas here and buying small things from the snack shop for over 5 years and the employees are amazing people. I've seen people complain and some of these reviews are complete bullcrap because it's not their fault that you don't look at the price before buying first and if you didn't know cash price and credit card price is always different. Use vons rewards number and save about 0.20/gallon. Just because you don't pay attention the gas station does not deserve a negative feedback. I recommend this gas station but then again it's just a gas station get in and get out and the main reason that Im writing this review is because of the negative reviews i read from previous yelpers. read more
