I didn't walk every isle of the store as I'm assuming a vendor was stocking sodas (cart of coke-cola on the back wall isle). The lady who was working was really warm and friendly. Think they get traffic mostly from people on foot as this is a small neighborhood spot and in a tiny mini plaza with a few other businesses in a wide yet small parking lot. I mostly came in for coconut water and an odd snack or two... suprisingly they had the random thing I was craving and nostalgic for... a cup/pint-ish of cereal... the elementary school kind... you know the ones! They didn't have captain crunch but I'm grateful they carry any of them... frosty flakes was the next best thing! I bought a loteria scratcher to get the full liquor store experience minus the adult beverages this trip... and came close twice to a nice lump sum... one day lol. They have a pretty nice selection of wine and spirits... would/will have to stop in to inquiry about beer and craft brew... and probably will. I usually stop in once in a while for a six pack of craft beer (mainly golden road, angel city and anything that peaks my interest or that gets rotated into the cooler) They have an okay selection of snacks, good selection of beer (including some cool crafts as mentioned), entry level wine and a huge variety of spirits (surprisingly, though they're marked up). I've been in so much just for super lotto and various scratcher as well as the occasional night cap or day snack. They have an easy but well utilized layout with small isles of items and plenty of room to navigate about. Metro Liquors off Magnolia and Van Nuys Blvd is a family run mum and pop biz with a lot of wonderful people who run it. They run out of Topo Chico often, my absolute seltzer obsession, but they have plenty of good craft brew options not to mention a solid selection of wine and spirits. Being a neighborhood market of sorts they do carry those small personal hygienic items, accessories, canned food, condiments, paper goods and even some pet related items as there are lots of dog owners and lovers in the area. Technically on the corner of Tilden and Magnolia off a small residential street just behind the Acura of Sherman Oaks dealership... You can find a fair amount of easy parking close by or if your in the area... It's a very easy one day entrance/exit for access. There's usually a good movie or TV show on the screen they have on the floor which I sometime stop and enjoy with whoever is on duty for a beat. I've passed by on foot, in car and even on the metro here more times than I can count and this was my first time finally supporting this small big local liquor shop. They have fair prices, tons of variety in craft brew, including some cbd based beverages. The imported and domestic beers are abundant and if I'm not mistaken they might carry kegs here or at least mini ones with a huge fridge which was being upkept while I was shopping and stocked. I know a lot of locals stroll in rather than parking as the lot itself is rarely full with a share plaza situation next to the Manny's Barber Shop, Sherman Oaks Coin Laundry, LA Video Games (Sherman Oaks) and Pico Pica Rica to name a few neighboring businesses at the corner of Magnolia Blvd/Kester Avenue. You'll definitely find a spot if you pull in. The spirits and beer are absolutely the bread and butter of this location. Their wine selection is more than decent, just not as abundant as their other adult beverages. This place is like Scratchers paradise. I need to come back with more cash because I didn't realize just how many machines they have, it's Sherman Oaks' very own little Las Vegas. I bought her a half dozen but I really want to purchase a bunch more (most machines are $10/$20/$30 with a few $1/$2/$3/$5 options). I don't play the lotto often but this is definitely a great little spot to pick up scratchers to make my 89 year old Nanas day :) Now that I know she's all about the scratchers life, I'll prob stop in weekly so I can mail her little surprises.
