This is NOT a "terrible" place! Especially for a safe/late-night gas and bathroom stop!!

Stopped on my way home from dropping the kid off at BYU-I for school. Long/quiet drive, and I saw I needed some gas at midnight. Bathroom break wouldn't be bad either!! The older man working inside couldn't have been nicer!!!! He gave me a free refill soda - I think he thought I was looking tired - but I was actually WIDE AWAKE! I was really just chill and listening to podcasts unmolested in a quiet car. Ha ha. Then, after a bathroom break I went to leave...and almost drove off without pumping the gas! That's how excited I was to get home to my sweet wife I guess? Just loved the whole experience. The pumps were well-lit and inside there's EVERYTHING you could want to buy for the road - along with extra trinkets for fun!!

Very clean gas station! Everything was tidy and nicely stocked The guy cashier was friendly and doing his best managing the place on his own. Much better gas station than the seedier ones down the road.

Powerball 411 The first place on the right side of 93 selling Powerball tix coming from Vegas into Arizona is this gas station now. It's fairly new. Used to be just Rosie's Den that you saw when you come up here first. It's right next to Rosie's Den which also sells Powerball tix. This location has plenty of parking for cars. RVs and buses can park in the adjacent dirt lot as well. There is one clerk dedicated to selling tix for now, the other cashier priority goes to store merchandise related and gas customers then Lotto ticket customers. They are friendly, patient and helpful here. The line for Powerball tix during the time we went snaked around the inside the store to just outside the back of the building. Average wait time was 2.5 hours.. That also went for Rosie's Den too. Rather come here though only because it's freaking cold by the time the sun went down. They can fit more people inside where it's warmer vs Rosie's you'll be standing out in the cold majority of the time. You can buy hot chocolate to warm you up here too. Restrooms are clean. NOTE: Machines go offline at midnight and resume at 4am.. so no tix can be sold at this hour. ALSO keep in mind that even though Arizona is in Pacific Time Zone they are exempt from DST. So currently they are ONE HOUR AHEAD. Travel time from Boulder City took us 20 minutes. (assuming you drive 10 miles over the speed limit). Gas prices though... 1.16 more than Henderson! What's up with that? Drawing Wednesday night! Good luck!

The convenience store. Didn't take pics of the gas pumps.

Don't buy the overpriced gas. There are more options down the road. We paid $4.49 when the next place down was about $2.90.

Stopped on the way to the Grand Canyon. It has great bathrooms, drink and snack selection and also a ton of Lotto tickets.

The Chicken Shack (Don't harass people please)…read more Ambiance/Atmosphere: 4/5 - So, one of my family was feeling a little bit hungry and wanted to try this place in Boulder City for some food. I wasn't feeling too hungry after Last Stop Travel Center, but I ordered something anyway. - The inside was, to be honest, pretty calm. It was a bit dirty, but not to the point of it being really bad. - Not many people, a little empty but not bad. - It also has weird answers from famous figures on the immortal question of why did the chicken cross the road. Some of them like Lennon and Nixon are not good people. Service: 5/5 - Service was pretty good. They were nice and answered my question when I asked if free refills were a thing allowed (they were). Prices: 4/5 - I forgot to get a picture of the prices, but it is indeed a bit expensive, but they are much more fairly balanced than Last Stop (and don't charge $8 for a Hotdog). Food: 5/5 - You know what, after eating at Last Stop, this was a pretty good meal. Even by itself, the chicken and fries are solid. - Fry sauce reminds me of Cane's sauce, but it's pretty good as is. - Also, I tried to get Chili Cheese Fries just to compare to Last Stop, but they unfortunately were out of chili. Overall: 5/5 Stars Final Thoughts: For my first time eating at a Chicken Shack, I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered some food. This honestly feels like a completely different experience from Last Stop, and I wish this was the stop where we went to eat originally. Although I will admit there is no gas station (at least that I could see), if your passing through Boulder City, you should make this your last stop instead.

I'm the type of person that doesn't like a meat-heavy dish, so the extra veggies really keeps the burger refreshing and light. Everything here is pretty fresh so the lettuce was crisp and tomato not soggy at all. The fries here can be polarizing. It's freshly cut, but they don't do the double fry that the majority of places do, so it's not super crispy on the outside. It tends to the rather soggy side, and if you ask for a longer fry time (well done), then the outside is crisp but the inside super dry. I don't mind, but my husband absolutely hates it. There was a bit of a wait, but the cooks were fairly quick in churning out orders, so it wasn't too bad psychologically. The bathrooms were very clean. Protip: There's a secret menu that you can use to customize your order a bit more.

Wait time is what you'd expect for it being the only In-N-Out in the immediate area. Our order is always taken by a friendly server regardless of the time of day or night - or weather. We have eaten mostly through the drive thru, but have gone inside as well. The food is always made fresh, is hot, and our orders are always correct. What more could you ask for? We definitely recommend stopping here whenever you are in or just passing through Kingman. Nothing like cruising parts of the old Route 66, seeing history, checking out murals, and the occasional car show as you cruise your way back to the freeway or your Airbnb for the night.

So that means it fish Fridays for me! Well after calling the store yesterday, their beloved Walleye arrived for the lent season. Needles to say, I planned my day around getting a Walleye dinner. In the past it has always been exceptional. Cooked perfectly and delicious. Well, that was not the case this time. I ordered the 3 piece Walleye dinner, so I make it a 2 day meal. First red Flagg, was the increase in price. It really jumped, but I wanted my Walleye. I wait all year long for this, and I bit the bullet and took it home for a feast. I live 20 miles out of town, so I put the pedal to the medal, so it would still be hot. Well, when I opened it up, There were 3 pieces of fish. One large on and 2 very small ones. I guess I should have gotten the 2 piece dinner instead. Being a senior citizen of a very fixed income, that will be the last time I would order the 3 piece dinner. I will stick with the 2 piece or just have the sandwich. The other issue was how it was cooked. It was very greasy, and the filets themselves were not really as thick as they use to be! My question is, did the tariffs have something to due with the huge price increase, and the smaller portions. I believe Culvers gets Walleye from Canada. We see on the internet all the time about fast food chains increasing prices and cutting portion size. I am not giving up on my beloved Walleye. The next time I order a Walleye dinner, I will open it up before I leave. I don't want to be shocked again!!! Please watch the grease, that was never there before. .

We decided to eat over at a nearby taco joint in the end. Both of us got their D.U.I. Dog, which has pastrami, carne asada, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, a ton of cilantro and chipotle aioli (a mayonnaise kind of sauce). Very packed with flavor with all the meats inside, and the cheese melts so well inside the hot dog. They even put this inside a relatively big carton container, the same kind I've seen the staff put their D.U.I. Fries in... holy crap those are some huge portions! For $18 before tax though, this hot dog was already slightly massive for its size, at just about a foot long. Very nice start to a great time in Vegas!
