Drove down from Oregon about a week ago and I stopped here for gas, and snacks. Quick and easy. But nothing prepared my eyes for the donut I saw! It was a chocolate frosted, triangular raised donut filled with some sort of whipped marshmallow cream. Nobody speaks English or, it's very hard to understand them. They're always very rude and don't give a shit about the customer. I will not be going back. I had to replace a propane tank. They had to text someone to come down and exchange a propane tank. The guy shows up on an electric scooter 10 minutes later. Then, he makes me wait. Frustrating. Embarrassing. Absolutely dishonest business. I stopped by to pump gas and buy some energy drinks. The lady who rung me up for two monsters at 3.99 each even though they had a sticker at the door at 2 for $7. I thought oh well, not a problem. Then she added another dollar charge for no reason and charged me $9. Instead of giving me my receipt, she folded it up, looked away and told me to have a good day. This business location has actually sparked an entirely new "Collection" for me on Yelp! Didn't even occur that perhaps I should be reviewing locations utilized for restroom breaks on road trips. We were heading back from Portland & needed to stop to use a restroom off the freeway. Some random no name gas station popped up on a billboard and we did exit to check it out, but my wife soon retorted: "this looks desolate and like something out of a movie....... y'know, those creepy movies" So, we kept driving and I took to Yelp to save the day. Luckily, this Chevron popped up & other people had previously talked about how clean and pleasant the public use restaurants were. We stopped, bought gas, used the restrooms (they were amazing!), loaded up on drinks......and were safely back on the road. Fun fact: Yreka is also *basically* one of the last known stops *just* before entering the Oregon border...... sooo.... if you're like me and (no offense, OR!) like to fuel up in CA, this is your one-stop-shop. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! The guy at the register was terrible. He told us that we couldnt buy things that were EBT when they were. After that he told us to leave when we went to leave he yelled at us to put everything back. There was four other guys behind us and the last told me to just set it on a box that was in the corner cuz it wasn't our job. I did that then as we were getting in the car he came out of the store and was yelling and cussing us out. We pulled out as he went in as we left we watched him yelling at the other customers. I ran out of gas here in early 2005 in my honda civic. Had a guitar and drum set in my backseat. My atm card wasn't working it was late at night. I played the guitar for donations. No one cared till i broke the drum set out! Even the local cops got called for noise complaint they didnt believe it till they saw me laughed and handed me a gas voucher. Super awesome read more

Can't believe this place has five stars. No one inside the Extra Care store was wearing a mask and the bathroom was filthy. Felt like I was going to get Covid just being inside. The clerk had no mask at all and didn't require the customers to wear one either. Outside, the garbage cans were overflowing and the paper towels were out. We're having a spike in cases people. Try harder to keep the place clean. I'll go elsewhere next time I need gas. read more

Five employees inside not wearing masks and not social distancing. Two customers inside were also not wearing masks -- not just worn improperly or hanging on an ear -- I did not see a single mask in sight, they are not even making an effort. Blatant disregard for local regulations and no concern for customer safety. Gas up before Yreka or stop at the 76 across the street. read more

As a female often traveling alone this location has many features I appreciate. It is extremely well lit even in the middle of the night. The women's restroom is clean and well kept. The employees are friendly and helpful. Lastly the arrangement of the pumps allows for better flow of traffic. read more

Clean, well-stocked, and the cashier is quick and friendly. Gas is the same price as the other station nearby, but there are plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from inside. Quick entrance back onto the 5 as well. read more
