Today, June 30, 2026 was the first time in this office for an actual appointment and I must say that from the time I made the appointment two weeks ago to the end of my appointment today, my experience was outstandingly phenomenal. The Office staff is professional and courteous the CPO was also amazing and Dr. Stout was professional, personable and kind. I can't say enough kind things she was awesome.. The entire building is spotlessly clean well laid out and very comfortable. There's a huge selection of glasses and it looks to me like they make them on site . what I really love is this is a family run business and NOT a huge corporate conglomerate who could care less about you as a patient or customer but just in your pocketbook. Had a bad experience with another eye doctor in town so after doing some research decided to switch to the Cheyne Eye Center. I arrived about 20 minutes early to my appointment and was greeted upon arrival and very quickly seen by the tech Bri, who was awesome! After doing some very cool and modern high tech tests. I was quickly seen by Dr Debesa who was also great and very thorough with the exam. Got me back into my correct lenses and I can see clearly again. 5 stars all the way! read more

I have seen Dr. Yeaman for 25 years. On my visit last week, including a very thorough exam, he found a small, but significant retinal tear. He referred me back to my PCP, who referred me to a retinal specialist. The retinal specialist said it was amazing that such a small tear would be found in a routine exam. I have a lot of confidence in Dr. Yeaman. The tear was lasered and fixed by the ophthalmologist. Thanks so much, Dr. Yeaman, for finding and diagnosing this problem. read more

I scratched my eye likely due to mowing dust and dirt, and failure to wear good goggles. Moderate pain lasting days. I decided to try Cheyne Eye Center only after my (20 year) refused me an appointment - telling me to wait 2 weeks. Cheyne told me to come in immediately. They found the scratch and provided me some pain relief, and a neutral soft contact lens to provide insulation against blinking irritation. I have been going to Cheyne ever since. Yes, their corrective lenses are not cheap, but no worse than my old eye doctor. If you want to take your prescription to Walmart, or a mail order place, then you can likely save a buck. But my purchase experience has provided me with excellent vision correction, and even allowed me to custom order glasses with bifocals elevated to help with driving tasks, providing a clear vision of the instrument panel. read more

Im so sorry, wait, no im not, they don't bother to tell you at the beginning that if you I re insurance doesn't pay the 30 so I have to and im on a fixed income so since i couldnt pay I couldn't get my glasses the insurance covered the glasses but they are holding them hostage till I do.......thats truly low and messed up on so many levels So they get no good rating or review they suck!!!!! read more

Went in for a simple eye exam for glasses. called around to other places and no one could get me in for 2 weeks, all were charging $50-$65. called Cheyne Eye Center and they got me in the next day. Ended up charging me $165 !!!!! what a ripoff, i would not send my worst enemy there. read more

I have been wearing glasses since childhood. Many changes have occurred over the last 40 years related to eye exams and I have to say that Cheyne Eye Center has some of the most impressive technology I have ever seen. The staff was attentive and friendly upon arrival. I had barely sat down after check in and the technician was already calling my name to start testing. The technician sterilized all equipment and explained every procedure before they were preformed. I was so thrilled when they told me I did not have to get the dreaded "air puff" because they had new technology that replaced it. The new test was completely painless and over in seconds. I was so relieved. The exam was thorough and the Dr. was nice. The Dr. had some cool pictures and scans of my eye on his monitor. He used these photos to explain to me how my eyes function and then educated me in regards to the health of my eye. I've never been educated about my eye health in this manner. It was very neat! I was then taken to the optical department to get my glasses and was equally impressed. The opticians were helpful and very educated on the latest technology and coatings I needed to help with eye strain due to spending hours a day on the computer. They also found a frame for me that was comfortable and stylish. I get so many compliments on them! If you are looking for a professional eye care experience you must go to Cheyne Eye Center for your next exam, glasses and/or contacts. You will not be disappointed. read more

I had been seeing a good eye doctor in Dallas for years but finally decided to start going to Cheyne eye center in 2017 because it was closer. For 4 years doctor Manuel Debesa gave me the same prescription which I used to get new contacts for the year. I started having issues with my contacts and also started having some dry eye issues. I consulted Dr debesa and he gave me some eye drops and that was it. Well I decided to go back to my old doctor in Dallas and I was shocked to find that my prescription had changed! No wonder I couldn't see very well. Where was dr debesa and cheyne eye center for the last 4 years? They "checked" my eyes each time I came in. I'm sorry but it doesn't get much worse than this. I cannot recommend anyone to the Cheyne Eye Center because you really have no idea if they even know how to check your eyes. Don't be fooled by their offer of half off sunglasses or whatever each time you come in. It's not worth it if you can't even get an accurate prescription for your eyes. read more

Came here because it was rated number 1 eye clinic in Granbury, wow wrong. It's been almost a month glasses still aren't in and they've lied to me 2 times about the situation. First, they never updated me about the situation so I called and said there was a defect, understandable. A week later still no call or update so I call again, same defect again. Interesting. Today I decided to go in to see what was up and the lady helping says they were out of the material they use..??? Why would they say they came in, lie to me about a defect, and then tell me the material was out and they hadn't ever come in. Needless to say I'm blind and upset. read more

Been going to Cheyne Eye Care since getting here to Granbury in '98. Never a problem, nothing but top notch service for myself and my wife. Late nights on Thursdays helps a lot, plus once a month Saturday appointments makes sure everyone can get in to see them no matter what their schedule. They stay on top of the latest tech developments to keep our eyes in top shape and ward off impending visual diseases. Have had zero problems. Good selection of frames, lenses. They even fix glasses you didn't buy there. Have regular sales and keep in contact with their clients via email, text and phone calls. Can't recommend any better.... read more

inFor the first time in my life, I decided to purchase my glasses from a highly rated company vs the discount stores. Big mistake for me. The first set of glasses had the prescription wrong and added "features" I did not want and I said so...very oversold...took the price to over $400 WITH my insurance and I could not wear them. The Dr told me before I filled the prescription that if I didn't like them or something was wrong they would make them right. So I took them back...they downgraded my glasses and the prescription is still incorrect and they will NOT refund the difference. So...now I have a pair of glasses that are only good for the computer and I paid over $400 for them. My $1 readers work just as well. What does the company do....... crickets... Next time, I will go back to the discount store where they get it right the first time and I don't pay a quarter of what Cheyne charged me. read more

Should have left Chenyne Eye center 5 years ago. Don't order glasses, I have had issues with EVERY pair ordered over the last 5 years (6 pairs of glasses). Issues from taking over 6 weeks to receive too the lenses not being cut properly. Summary...the glass wear staff is totally incompetent! I will never go to a Cheyne Eye center again. My wife had issues with her eye glasses. There was a smear on one lens and they looked at it, adjusted the ear pieces on the glasses (like that would clear up the lens), but since they could not see it (EVEN I COULD SEE IT) they wanted to schedule her another eye exam. It was not her eyes, it was their eyes. I won't be going back to them for eye glasses, since they don't seem to know how to get them right in the first place. read more

OVERCHARGE! BEWARE! My husband went to Cheyne Eye Center as a new patient. They had our insurance info, verified it, & knew what they would & wouldn't pay, They did MANY Xrays on his eyes, without informing him that insurance wouldn't pay for a mandatory retina Xray. He then ordered glasses. He told them he had a $200 allowance and only wanted the transition put on his glasses. The frames he picked out were $19 over the $200 and he was okay with that. He was told the transition would be $35. When it was time to pay, an employee was talking to him, and he didn't pay attention to what he was charged. When he came home, I was looking over the charges and our portion was $405!! Lenses were fully covered by insurance, but we were charged $150. Also, tons of other charges for God knows what. I called the office manager. She informed me they Retina Xray, which is $30, is a MANDATORY FEE!?? I explained that no one sat down with him $ went over the charges BEFORE he paid. She denied everything.I cancelled the order for the glasses, but had to pay for the extra $30 mandatory Xray. I will never recommend this place to anyone!! If you go to this place, BE SURE to go over what they're charging BEFORE you pay! read more

Upscale office for a smaller-sized town. While I didn't feel that the receptionists were exactly warm and friendly, they were definitely professional and helpful. I saw Dr. Yeaman and he had a very easy-going demeanor. My eyesight hadn't changed significantly, and he didn't try to convince me that new eyeglasses would be helpful when my current prescription was working fine. I really appreciated the low-pressure environment. I've been here a few times over the past few years and would recommend it to others. While I don't necessarily advocate traveling from a great distance to visit (as I did recently), their office is a solid choice for eye care. read more

My husband and I have gone to Dr. Cheney for several years and he has always taken great care with our vision. I have a stigmatism and he has taken a lot of time making sure my contacts were fitted correctly. We never feel rushed when going thru the process of "Number 1 or number 2?" They have equipment that gives an accurate picture of your cornea that can aid in looking out for diseases. The staff is friendly and have been there for a few years. read more
