She has low vision and is somewhat fragile yet the nurses do not take the time to help her in and out of her exam chair. I went there for another two appointments and always paid promptly after receiving the bill. In September 2025, I received an invoice related to an appointment from November 2024. I had fully paid this invoice in January 2025, so I was confused. In short, it appears that Star Retina upcharged me as the charge was for a code change, not an omitted service. I've since gone to another specialist. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes and receive more information about what options I have for treatment, or if treatment is needed at all. I've been wearing contacts for over 35 years so I'm very familiar with the process. As a result of the unthorough exam, the prescription given was incorrect. Since I had plenty of contacts remaining from my previous prescription, I didnt start wearing the new ones until late May. I called the office to let them know and request to exchange the unopened box for my correct prescription but was told they wouldn't and only offered to come in and pay for another exam and also pay for more contacts. Why would I do that if they couldn't get it right the first time? So onto finding a new dr in the area.
