So my man stepped inside the salon to see to check out waiting times while I stayed in the car. Shortly after, he comes back looking like he'd just experienced the most bizarre thing in his life. "She screamed at me," he said. "Wait what??" I asked bewildered. He went on to tell me that he waited there respectfully since the lady was doing someone's hair. When the lady turned and saw him waiting, she screamed. I did clarify that she didn't just squeal or gasp, but screamed. He said after she screamed, she told him he 'surprised her' and 'didn't see him there'. I asked if she apologized for screaming at him, since he's just a harmless average build Scottish guy with short hair and glasses. He said she never did. A convenient resolution is to add a bell to the front door. Not sure how bad this neighborhood is, but it'd be worth considering if you were genuinely worried for safety, or tend to scream when you have guests walking into the salon. Grateful for the sisters that helped me out and gave me a wonderful service.
