From our recent stay of a few nights in outer Montmartre area of Paris we saw Chez Clara was regularly bustling with locals. And what an excellent example of a fairly-priced neighborhood brasserie (pub) it is. One night after returning to our flat from the dense crowds and pricey, touristic offerings of the Champs Elysées area of Paris, we found Chez Clara's cozy establishment ready to make their place extremely welcoming, and the traditional-inspired French menu as understandable as possible, notwithstanding our poor French-speaking skills. (They had an English copy of the menu, though we did our best with the French version.)
About 18€ a person was amazing to get refreshing Picon orange bitters-laced beers along with French-homestyle entrée choices like confit of duck leg with green beans and new potatoes; lamb chops with pan sauce, pommes frites and salad; and honey-glazed duck breast with potatoes and salad--and even a fresh dessert crepe for our son. read more
