Exceptional food and service!…read more I got spring rolls and bun bo hue, both with tofu. The bun bo hue was DELICIOUS - flavorful, not oily, right amount of spicy, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. It was a nice surprise to have a good authentic Vietnamese meal in Brussels that is better than New York City. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. It appears to be a husband and wife owned business - hubby runs the front and wifey runs the kitchen. It is made to order, so it takes some time for the food, but you won't mind after that first bite nom nom NOM.

Some of these dishes I haven't had since visiting Hanoi a few years ago. And boy did this bring me back. I could easily pack it all up and move to Hanoi. The people, the food, the countryside. Well considering how many Vietnamese places are in the Bay Area, this one in Brussels, is the one that rekindled the smells the tastes and ambiance of being in Hanoi, minus the miniature plastic tables and stools made for kids.) not phat ass American hynies) Nem oh Nem! Roasted pork, wrapped with sprouts scallions, carrots, and vermicelli over a rice wrapper then deep fried. Eaten wrapped in a bit of lettuce Thai basil dunked in fish sauce. Damn!!!!!!! Service a bit slow as there is only one guy for the whole shop. But man! 2 legit 2 quit!

Delicious. Just do it! My partner and I love O banh mi since their banh mis are so addicting with…read morethe fresh baguette bread that seems to be specifically made for their banh mis. You get to choose your protein and even decide if you want it as part of a combo meal (with wonton soup or nems or crispy shrimp, etc.) et voila! We also really enjoy their nems (fried eggrolls) and the wonton soup (the wontons are very flavourful and outta this world)! Note: they take cash and no card at the cashier area, but they do have an online system that takes card - and you can order it for your table as well! They also speak English so for my fellow non-francophones, fret not! Seating is also first-come, first-served so depending on when you get there you may have to wait for a seat. Overall, a great local establishment worth supporting!

I've had banh mi's all over the world where there's a notable Vietnamese population (Montreal,…read moreParis, San Jose, etc.), my favorite place was still in Brooklyn (Henry's in the Slope), but this place blew everything away. It starts with the crunchiest, perfectly buttery baguette and then it just takes off from there with perfectly seasoned fillers. Do yourself a favor and just order two. You won't regret it. Their noodle bowls were good too. P.S. Yes, I haven't been to Vietnam, but I'm working on it!!

I left to find something else but tried my luck & coming back. Glad I did! They have wine, but as I was told, beer is their thing. The food was excellent and the staff are colorful and efficient as the flow between tables! I had the meatballs (2 large ones), meals come with a small salad and a side & bread! The beer selection is wide. Mostly Belgium ones. Other tables had what looked like delicious tuna, lasagna and stew which they all seemed to enjoy.

I am so sorry to not rave about this place like everyone else did…read more To start with the positives: -cute, cozy spot inside with a few outdoor tables. No reservations, so you have to wait in line. Luckily, the line moved pretty quickly and we were able to be seated inside. -service was great. The fabulously dressed flamboyant gentleman was kind and helpful. The sassy woman was hilarious! -Portions are pretty decently sized and priced fairly Why three stars? I just didn't enjoy anything that we ordered. Sadly, it was my least favorite meal that we had in Belgium. Based on all the reviews, I think it's clear that it's not the place per se, but what I was looking for. That being said, I still must be honest. What we ordered: Cheddar Croquettes (2 for 14 Euros): Just ok and this was one of the things that I felt was overpriced Carpaccio of Smoked Beef with White Truffle Oil (18 Euros): Again, just ok Meatloaf with "Jack Pepper" sauce (26 Euros): "Jack Pepper" means something different in Brussels. It was basically a peppercorn gravy. I wasn't a fan, but Jim G. enjoyed it. With this, we had frites and a small side salad. I know many people recommend that Flemish Beef Stew, but we already had that at Fin de Siecle, and I couldn't imagine that any place would top it, so we didn't get it here. Ultimately, this place isn't for me, but I seem to be in the minority.
