I've had Maggie, Ashley, & Ashley Frank in the past & left very pleased every time! This morning I went in for an updo (for anniversary pictures later in the day). The updo by Ashley Frank was $55 before t&t. Totally worth not having to stress over making my hair look good for pics in this summer heat! She rocked this updo! During Covid the salon requires all guests & staff to wear masks & only except card payments at this time. Staff sprayed & wiped down stations between every client. I made an appointment & was instructed to call from my car upon appointment arrival. Overall I've been very pleased with this salon for a number of years. From a client perspective, over the last year since the transition to the new Cost Cutters name, it feels that not much has changed! The job gets done, but you kind of feel like a second class citizen. I've literally been asked to vacate a chair during a scheduled "couples massage" at one area salon. Hammer & Nails sets the tone, the moment you walk in. Greeted at the door and immediately offered to hang my jacket. Quick to inform they are membership based so there's no confusion. Clean contemporary barbershop/salon area that leads to a lounge with a bar or the "man cave" - a dark, moody room where they offer treatments like the pedicure I had scheduled. There's also a cigar room and a large patio with poker table. TVs come with remote so you can change to whatever you'd like. Headsets available, as well. The pedicure was 4/5. I was a big fan of the paraffin wax. My feet spend a lot of time in work boots, so they appreciate the relaxing massage and warm dip that follows. I don't cut my toenails flat across, prefer rounded. Tia was very personable and friendly, wish she'd have asked how I preferred they be trimmed. But that's my only complaint. The two services membership is very fairly priced and I will sign up for it a few months out of the year. Fellas - check this place out!

I sent a photo & written instructions ahead per their request, said what I wanted/didn't want repeatedly in person, and she still did the opposite of what I asked for. I went back for correction and once again the same thing happened. I'm gutted. I now have hair that is cut far too short including the bangs that were cut in a way that left them unintegrated from the rest of the hair -they look like a shelf. When I went in for the "correction" they cut even more of my hair away and now it is worse. I'm truly embarrassed to have my hair look this way. Also, be aware that they require a credit card hold for your appointment. Your card will be charged if you cancel without a 48 hour notice. You are also required to sign electronically that you will not receive a refund if you are unhappy with the work they do- they will offer a correction only.
