DISRESPECTFUL I'm a guy who is not picky about strip joints and isn't frugal about spending a few dollars. I paid the cover and then was confronted by the "doormen" who had their additional $5 fee (each). Why this wasn't included in the cover is beyond me. I paid the first one (didn't see there were two) and the other one (bald headed guy who apparently all the strippers complained about later on and said he is known to be disrespectful) came out of nowhere and called me and my buddy idiots for not knowing their process (he really wanted his $5). July 28-29, 2023: So we arrived at Montreal late cause of typical Air Canada #delay at like 11 PM and out and about at like midnight. Just to scope out the place, we just went to Chez first on our first night. If you are traveling with American Money (cash), don't expect them to convert it. In other words, five dollars Canadian will be five dollar USD. However, the coat check lady did throw in a smidge more extra in Canadian when I paid with American. However, don't be fool, $10 cover won't be the first fee you will pay when you first step through those doors. Then the "doorman" was like tip, five dollars each, just to bring the gang to a table. Like wtf. One of those meatheads then commented on the side that it was like going out to dinner and ordering food but asking that you do not want a plate. As we did not want to lower their self-esteem and say that their job is not the equivalent of a waiter but that of a hostess-who btw are not tipped-we just moved along as a few dollars is only a smidge to us but clearly the world to those knuckle heads. In fact, that "doorman" tip should've gone to those girls swirling, twirling, and making their rounds inside, not dumb and dumber outside. Inside, it reminded me of a sticky McDonald's when I was a kid. Was it the cleanest place, no, but did I expect it to be spotless, absolutely not, its a strip club. The GIRLS! Some of them were dope, one was as tall as a red wood tree, others looked like whips from a Ferrari dealership in Milan. Tops off, bottoms down, and for just one dollar, you'll get smacked in the face with a pair on stage, which is not a bad deal! They deff knew what they were doing. And of course, there's always that one or two that wander around looking for a buck (i.e., floaters). So overall, it's a scam-ish place, but go to support the gals for a night and let them make your night. We had a lot of clubs to pick from, but we decided to check out Chez Paree - other reviews recommended it as one of the better clubs in the area, the pictures looked great, Plus it was brick-ass-cold outside so we didn't want to have to walk too far and Chez was close to our hotel. Busy place, when we arrived there was a line of about 20 outside the door waiting to get it in. We waited roughly 15 minutes to get into the club. Chez is very GF friendly, a lot of couples and ladies, all seemed eager to get in and entertained while they were there interacting with the dancers. Cover was $5, plus the $5 tip to the doorman for seating us. Drinks, with the 20% exchange, were reasonably priced. We were told that there were 60-70 girls in the club that night, but it seemed more like 30-40, either way plenty of girls. A lot of variety, all sexy ladies, with a variety of shades, styles and exotic looks. Nicely shaped bodies and with some slick stage moves to match (at least the ones we saw) Lap dances were CA$10, Private dances are $15, and Couples dances are $25. Seems like the experiences with the dancers varies, some girls seem to work the system more if they like you, others are by the book, so talk with them before you go running off for a dance - they push hard for tips at every opportunity and are always working, so for a better experience in the private room, make sure there is a little chemistry prior to. One more note, for Americans, bring $1USD bills - or you will be scratching your head trying to figure out where to put the CAD$1 or CAD$2 coins... most of the tipping involved laying down on the stage and placing the tip in your mouth and having it removed with any body part of the ladies liking, I would imagine that would be much harder with a coin -- then again, these Canadians are talented! Additional note: Guys if you are in town for a bachelor party, and you want to embarrass the GROOM this is the place to get it done, on stage in front of a TON of complete strangers, that he will never see again. These ladies are heartless and know how to put on a show - he will get worked like never before and you will have a ton to laugh about on the ride home - hands down, one of the best bachelor shows in town! PLEASE READ - It's important that shady businesses get penalized for their behavior, encouraged to change or are driven out of business by consumers refusing to patronize places that take advantage of them. I'm taking the time to write this. Not for my sake, but to serve as a soldier of karma. Alright, so I read all the bad reviews of this place before deciding to give it a shot. I also read all the negative reviews of similar places nearby. I figured that it was just a result of unmet expectations. It's definitely understandable when it comes to places promising erotic and enticing experiences. I am here to tell you that the positive reviews are likely staged and the negative reviews, though undoubtedly accurate, fail to illustrate the most insidious practices of this place. The best way I can describe the practices of this place is fraud. Let me explain. The bouncers wear tuxedos to give the impression of a high end establishment. They stand outside and create a line in the street outside regardless of the number of patrons inside creating artificial demand. They then have a second line that is supposed to be for "re-entry" but certain parties are ushered through that line only to be stopped at the door by a different Tux-sporting bouncer who asks them what they are willing to pay to "cut the line" they created. Essentially making entry a highest bidder situation. How do I know this you ask? This evening I waited in line for over 45 minutes while several dozens of people left and several of them asked us why we were waiting as the "place was empty inside". I watched several large groups who were in line behind me head in through the "re-entry" line. Some returning to the street and walking off angry, the others I imagine paid the ransom. When my girlfriend and I finally made our way to the front of the line I got a glimpse of what was going on. Those in the "re-entry" line were negotiating entry fees of 150 to 200 dollars to get in on an advertised 10 dollar cover charge. I took the opportunity to confront the shysters in penguin suits about the apparent shakedown. I asked all the questions you'd expect given our experience. Why is the line so slow given the number of people leaving? Why did the groups of people behind us in line get in before us? Why are you still charging full cover price to people who waited in line 45 minutes when you close in less than an hour? The response we were given provides this story a better ending than I could have made up on my own. "Supply and demand is the reason why" Tennessee tuxedo answered me through pursed lips of pure disdain. Then I was told they didn't want us there and we were escorted out..... So there you have it... I'm not from Montreal. I'm unlikely to be here on the regular. I don't have a dog in the strip club fight of downtown Quebec. I just think the world is a better place when this kind of thing isn't a part of it. read more

Go to Wandas instead. Just as fun and waaaay more transparent. When you get in the door you think that checking your coat is $3 - but it really is $23. They describe that a lap dace is $10 hour in a private room is $220. Make sure you ask before you take any service the amount. I was asked by a dancer to go to a private room for a dance and I asked how much. I was told $50 for 30min and I agreed. Got to rooms and just the room fee was $50 and the dancer was separate - she did not indicate this. Got to the room and someone can in to take my drink and the dancer wanted to be on our tab. Then after a half hour she charged us $250. So even that their signs indicate $220 for an hour - please be ready to pay $300 for 30 min and to pay for the dancers multiple drinks. The money wasn't the issue - it was that everything that is presented to you is incorrect on pricing. At Wandas everything is upfront and easy to understand. read more

This is my first time at Chez Paree, while I cannot speak on behalf of all the strippers, I had an extremely TERRIBLE experience and felt SCAMMED by one of the strippers (she apparently goes by Medusa, a tall dark haired girl over 6 ft). The bouncer indicated that the lap dance was $15. Medusa indicated $20 instead of $15. I didnt mind that thinking what difference will $5 make and thought maybe its better to keep the stripper happy by not haggling/negotiating. The lap dance started and about 15 to 20 mins tops I decided to stop. Medusa the said thats 14 songs so that will be $280 plus tips of you want!!!!!!!!!!!! I was completely dazed. I couldn't understand how she got to 14 songs in the moment and I couldn't really dispute it so I just paid. I am an accountant by trade and fairly detail oriented. I didnt even finish my first drink so I knew I wasn't too buzzed. There was no way it was 14 songs in under 20 minutes. I remember arriving at Chez Paree at 11pm precisely. Getting seated and having a drink till about 11:15pm. Then Medusa approached me and we went to the lapdance booth. I left the booth around 11:32pm. There was no way 14 songs has elapsed in the matter of 15-20 minutes. Also the fact that she stated $20 instead of what the website and bouncer stated of $15 isn't right either. I would also like to break down the fees for unsuspecting tourists/first timers: $10 cover charge, $5 tip the bouncer to seat you, $5 tip to enter the lap dance booth EACH time. This is IN ADDITION to the lapdance and drinks of course. As a warning to unsuspecting guests thinking its $15 / lap dance, make sure to state this back to the stripper who may otherwise try to take advantage of you by restating a different price. Also it may be wise to pre-pay for the number of songs in advance so you dont end up having the stripper vastly overstate the number of songs and making you pay. Larry S. picked this spot for our evening out as I was having too much fun searching for more "niche" establishments (lesbian bars, male strippers, drag shows, etc). It was close to our AirBnB and it was actually a pleasant surprise. Cover was $5 and drinks were reasonable-ish (CA$8 for a Molson). There were plenty of girls and they were mostly all attractive, with a nice variety. Lap dances were CA$10. A few negatives - they push hard for tips at all turns! We treated Larry's cousin to a lap dance and he was gone for a long time. Larry got a lap dance and was back in one minute. He had a better experience on the second try. As Americans, one thing that we were wondering about was how to tip the dancers. The smallest bill is $5. What does one do with a loonie coin in a strip club? Insert into cleavage or other crevices? To our delight, we discovered that tipping the dancer involves placing the bill in your mouth, lying down on the stage and getting a dry hump from the dancer while she removes the bill with various parts of herself! Overall, we had a mediocre strip club experience at Chez Parée. There's a mandatory coat check and entry fee of $7.50 pp, but this was only selectively enforced. A doorman walked us to a table far from the stage, then asked for a tip. We had a Heineken and a crown & coke for $32.50, then the waitress let us know a 15% tip was the minimum. It was all the rudest money grab I've ever seen. The girls, except for 2 or 3 did not make much effort on the stage nor did they smile or even barely fake having a good time. It was a little sad and not very sexy. There was one dancer whose back was mostly covered in tattoos--she was amazing...acrobatic in her moves and really portrayed that she was having a blast on stage. She made the experience worth it. But there was a wait to get a private dance with her, so we left without any lap dances. Update: Came back to give it another try last night. We were charged $10 to get access to the lap dance area and $25 per song for the dance because we're a couple. Dances are usually $15. From all of the recommendations I received, Chez Paree seemed to be THE strip club to hit up in Montreal. With a few caveats, I definitely agreed. Like others have mentioned, yes they try to gouge you by asking for "tips". We went early so the ticket girl in front didn't bother us, but was very grateful for an unexpected tip. The bouncer who shows you to your table also asks for $2 per person. One of my friends flat out refused, and there was no argument. Tips are included in the drinks, at least with the beer buckets. A beer bucket will run you about $50 for six beers, which isn't great, but isn't terrible either. Now here's a tip - show up early. Sure, you'll be that skeevy guy walking into a strip club in broad daylight, but trust me, it's worth it. It's much less crowded, and many of the girls work from 4 to 9 anyway. Speaking of girls, there were a LOT, especially for the afternoon. Different strokes for different folks. Lots to see, and many to talk to. When you get there early, they get bored and just sit down and you can have a normal conversation with them. If you don't want a dance, they just move on. No pressure, for the most part. If you want a private dance, you just tell the girl and she brings you up to the front desk, where you "tip" the bouncer $5 and then give the girl $15 at the end of the dance (that's $15 per SONG, so keep track). There was one disconcerting moment where one of the girls told me that a bunch of the other girls were complaining about a terrible smell in a few of the rooms (she thought someone might've pissed in it), so that was kind of a buzzkill. First off, this IS actually one of the more classier places I have been to and in my top 3 in the St Catherine Street vicinity. Stick with it and you'll be fine. - You have your choice of locations. Stage, table, or bar. We had a group of 8 so we gave him $5, but I wouldn't feel pressured unless he got you a table close to the stage. Bouncer put us in the back by the bar. Not impressed. - Girls are way above average. Not as good as Vegas, but this is Montreal we are talking about - I love the vibe as you are not being hounded by girls for dances every second. You can get a few drinks and relax for hours. - Drinks are about $10-12 for beers and cocktails. 1 drink minimum. - You don't throw dollar bills because in Canada $1-2 are coins. Truly an excellent establishment. Amongst all the strip clubs I've been to, this one ranks up pretty high and reminds me of the Vegas strip clubs, especially Rhino. Prices for drinks and lap dances pleasantly surprise after NYC. Women are beautiful and very friendly. I saw some total knock outs here and one of my poor sucker friends just about fell in love with a stunning 26 year old just "earning her college tuition" here. All in all a great place. If you have experienced strip clubs in the US you will be pleasantly surprised by the lack of pressure throughout the entire experience. Tipping the dancers for their 'on stage' performance is not expected and if all you want to do is sit and drink a few beers no one will hassle you. And if a dancer does come over to ask if you want a dance they take 'no' for an answer very quickly. That said, if you do want a dance from a particular girl then tipping her on stage is a good idea. Theoretically both table dances ($10/song) and private dances ($15/song) are offered but on my first visit (early on a weeknight) I only saw one or two table dances and on my second visit (later on a weekend) none at all. The private dances take place in a separate section with curtains - a $5 rental charge to a bouncer applies. Depending on the time and day there may or may not be a $5 per person cover charge and you are always expected to tip the bouncer $5 per group as you make your way to table or stage. And don't forget to tip your waitress. All in all, way cheaper than a movie and a lot more fun. Lastly, and this applies to all strip clubs, never use the club's ATM and never order any alcoholic drink but a beer, shot, or bottle. read more

Went here for a bachelor party and had an awful experience. First we paid extra to sit in the club's VIP section which was a complete waste of money. The section is far from the stage, and few girls came over. Next we ordered a bunch of mixed drinks which were beyond watered down. When we brought it to the waitress's (and later management's) attention, they fought us hard about replacing them. There are much better options for strip clubs. By reputation, this is a legendary Montreal gentleman's club. I went there for the first time ever last Thursday and despite the terrible weather, the club was packed. That fact alone told me everything I needed to know about the reputation of the club. A very good start. In the club, you literally had ladies of all shapes and sizes, shades and heights and it was full of customers. To be honest, it just felt like one major party. And that's how gentleman's clubs are supposed to be, i.e a place where you can sit back, relax, have a drink and enjoy a show. As far as the decor, it's pretty much a standard Montreal club however I would recommend visiting this place if you're in town and happen to be downtown. I believe that it was the favorite of many Montreal Canadiens legends, including Patrick Roy. I will probably go again, some day. read more

I've been putting off my review on this strip club because of the "taboo" nature of it. But I can resist no longer. Our party had an excellent experience, but only because we knew the proper etiquette for a high(er) end strip club. 1) Tip your seater. The better the tip, the better the table. Look at it as an investment. 2) The main stage is like a table dance pre-view. Don't feel obligated to tip the dancers on stage, but you can if you like, especially if you're sitting on the stage (what we term perverts row). 3) The dancers make their money off the private/table dances, so choose carefully, see rule 2. 4) The dancers will make their rounds after they preform. It is proper etiquette to complement them on their dance, remember they are performers and it takes skill to spin on that pole. 5) When you decide on your table dancer (if you want one) wait until she comes to you, don't go rushing up and grab them. Most clubs have a no touchie rule. So now that the rules are out of the way... my experience. Service is great. Drinks were always full, though a little on the pricey side. The performers were great. Very classy. The atmosphere was comfortable with plenty of leather couches and high back chairs. Nicely lit, not too bright but not dingy either. Girls are all right. We just had a few drinks there out of curiosity. Not extremely interested in this kind of art or service whatever you call it. Coming from a non tipping culture i find it ridiculous that even the coat check in lady asked me for a tip just for giving me the ticket. Then the bouncer tip was okay since i was told beforehand. Even in the bathroom there's this guy trying to rip you a buck or two off by pouring you the liquid soap and rolling out and towels... I wonder how the guys in the private section got hustled by the girls as said in other reviews. Oh yeah, forgot about the expensive drinks and the pushy waitress. We came here after partying at Laboom, lateish Saturday night. Chez Paree is a nice club. It's probably the cleanest, best kept strip club I've ever been in. Lots of seating; nice, warm atmosphere; good music at a nice volume; well dressed bouncers and wait-staff and a good dj. There are lots of girls, they're all attractive (and natural - I don't think I saw a single pair of fake breasts in the place), and there's no breaks between stage shows. However, I'm sorry to say that most of the stage shows were pretty boring, and the girls on stage looked somewhat apathetic while up there. There was a bachelor party in the club, and a couple of girls put on a pretty entertaining show, abusing the groom-to-be on stage - standard bachelor party fare you'll see in any club (east of Manitoba anyway), but entertaining none the less. None of the stage shows inspired me to drop cash on a private dance though. Cover is cheap ($5), there's a mandatory coat check ($2.25). you need to tip the bouncer to get seated ($5) and drinks are pricey ($9.75?). Table dances are $10 per song or $150 per hour, contact dances are $15 per song or $220 per hour. There's an ATM but just arrive with a good amount of cash in hand. The ladies room wasn't all that impressive - not filthy but not as clean as the rest of the club. The men's room is open, the ladies' room is locked (probably to keep drunk guys from wandering in) - if you need to use it, get the key at the entrance of the club first. If the dancers had been a little more enthusiastic on stage this would have been a thoroughly excellent club. As it was, I was bored and didn't stay very long. read more

Worst place ever. Complete scammers. First, bouncer convinced us to get vip section. I think Canada has a twisted version of the meaning of vip. It was the worst seat in the house away from everything. The only benefit was the couch. Secondly, the women are complete rip offs. A lap dance is suppose to be one song. A few of my boys paid for 1 song and the girl would to continue to dance until they eventually realized they started running a tab. They ended getting charged like 15 songs. Wtf!!!! High expectations but probably worst place I've been to. Classy my ass. read more

Do not go here. My friend was solicited by two female dancers who offered to give them a dance. The prices are very clear: $5 at the door, $3 when you sit at a table, $15 to get a dance for one song (4ish minutes). However, my friend was essentially forced to have more than one dancer, despite him stating that he did not want multiple dancers. The dance continued, and in the room (which is an additional $5 charge), the music is barely audible, making it hard to determine how long the dance has gone on. The dancers do not indicate when the $15 song has ended. My friend ended up paying $300CAD for roughly 30 minutes of dancing (double what it would have cost for one dancer). Perhaps he could have been more clear in what he wanted from the dancers, but overall the payment policies are very unclear. Also a double gin and tonic was $16CAD. read more

We visited this club during our short trip to Montreal and we had a great time. We chose this club because my gf is a wheelchair user and from what I heard there are few accessible strip clubs in the area. The club was conveniently located walking distance from our hotel and close to the bell centre. When we arrived we had no trouble getting in (as some reviews suggested) the bouncer was kind enough to escort us to the front of the stage and even moved chairs to accommodate us. If you have accessibility needs you will be able to get to inside and to the stage to see the show without issues. There is another level to this establishment, if you would like a private dance there are approximately 6 stairs that will lead you to that area. Although we didn't take advantage, the bouncers were kind enough to offer their assistance if need be. There are also booths along the wall that are high and may pose as a challenge to get in and out of. Many of the ladies spent time with guests in those booths. We found the waitstaff to be very friendly and attentive, and we didn't have to wait long to be offered or served our (reasonably priced) drinks. While we saw a few different ladies in the time we spent there, we found that there was a lack of variety and didn't see many women with exotic looks, as we were hoping for. There was a very informal, relaxed atmosphere, we were surprised to see a young man or two lay on the stage with a mouth full of money for a few moments of attention. Overall the club is accessible, has friendly staff and is worth visiting if you are in the area and looking for a good time! read more

Very upscale and classy place for the area. I'm a stripclub aficionado, and I can easily say Chez Parée is one of Montreal's finest. This is the stipclub they mention in "Family Guy" when they planning to visit Montreal. read more

The bouncer walked us to the table and then expected us to pay him at least $2 per person. All I had in change was $1 so I handed that to him and apologized. To our surprise he refused the money and said " I know you have more money". He then made my friend give him two more dollars, then he left. Next, the waitress approaches us and asks us what drinks we would like. We ordered a vodka soda and two cranberry vodka's. The bill came to just over $32, which is extremely overpriced. Once we paid her the money she demanded gratuity which came to an extra $5 or so. The dancers were great and the rest of the staff was friendly however, it just feels like they hustle you for every last dime you have at this place. read more
