The cheeseboard arrived not too long after and had a nice trio of cheeses, pickles, bread, chutney and rocket. There will never be enough bread/biscuits for the amount of cheese and this cheeseboard was no exception - more bread please! Apart from that, I thought everything was very pleasant and tasty, and not bad value for €14. The wine was probably a bit overpriced at around €8 but one thing I learnt from my week in Dublin is that all their booze is pricey - or maybe Scotland is just too cheap. I love their tableware and the cosy décor and it's the place in Swords village that always first comes to mind when I'm in need of a pick-me-up after a night on the town. It's reliably good and my definite first port of call when in need of good coffee, cake or a stodgy feed after a session.

I've never had a bad meal here, but I couldn't rave about it either. It does the job to be sure, but it always feels a bit weird eating here as it's more of a late night venue with a young clientele, so as an "owl fogey" it's a spot I tend to avoid after a certain hour so I feel these negative connotations may have coloured my dining experiences slightly!
