CHI is so awesome and consistent. I've had nothing but positive experiences with every staff member here over the past couple years. They are all so good at what they do, meticulous, and friendly. Lately I've been meeting with Heidi for my fills and pedis -- she knocks it out of the park every appointment. The shape and design are always so cleanly executed. She is also very gentle on my nails, which I appreciate since my nails can be a little sensitive. Margie also does beautiful work! You can't go wrong. I'm always happy with the way my nails turn out. Highly recommend!

My nail technician, Ashley, was 15 minutes late for my 10 am appointment on January 29. I had a regular manicure, but while drying I noticed the polish was sloppily applied for 2 nails. She also didn't smooth the nail surface prior. She did the 2 nails over, but honestly that manicure should have been complementary. Her aunt is the owner and observed all of this but never apologized or made an effort to compensate me for my time and expenditure. read more

I've had my nails done at Chi a lot and usually it's good. $20 for a polish change I think is excessive (it's about $10 in Chicago/NYC.) I got a regular pedicure and my previous black pedicure is still on the side of my nails. For $40 I think it should have been perfect. My acrylics look good, no complaints there. I appreciate them fitting me in last minute. I am, however, disappointed with my current pedicure but like everything else in Bozeman you take the good with the bad, this is by far one of the better nail salons and there really isn't another option. I even told my technician I wasn't happy with my toes and they still were not corrected. read more

Had a pedicure today that took less than 25 minutes followed by a manicure that lasted less time than that. No lotion was used for either the pedicure or the manicure. I was in and out of there in less than an hour after having both services NOT at the same time. Called to nicely express my concerns and was offered...nothing. I was told that the woman who worked on me had been there for 8 years. Mkay. Won't be back. read more

The worst nail experience I have encounter. Got a manicure that lasted maybe 10 min- spent most of the time paining my nails way too many times. Soaked my fingers and literally kid you not- that was it! Got a little lotion at the end but..... also got a pedicure- lasted maybe 20 min- again spent lost the time painting my nails with too many coats! Get this- cost $100! WILL NEVER BE BACK! lousy service and they don't care about you at all! read more

Pedicure took literally 15 minutes. Hardly any massage. Felt very rushed and not the relaxing experience I was hoping for. Very basic for $45, no care or attention. I was barely acknowledged at all. I was disappointed. read more

I usually have a good experience here but this time around I did not. The guy I had was rushing so much that most of my nails came out crooked. He was filing so fast that I have friction burn under my nails along with both of my pinky's covered in cuts. I'm not sure if his name as he didn't talk much but please improve your skill read more

I would give them 0 stars if that were an option. My daughter and I had a 10:30AM appointment for mani/pedi's. We were seated in the pedicure chairs, the water was so hot it nearly blistered our feet. I waited a full 20 minutes for my technician to start my pedicure. It was less that mediocre. There was no effort to remove calluses, the massage was lacking and the polish job was not great. The manicure was actually worse. Little to no massage and the polish looks like a 8 year old applied it. They have no common sense (with regard to making their clients comfortable), the place if filthy and it's not cheap. I absolutely would NOT recommend. read more

I usually like this place but giving this review because the last nail tech I had was really rough and rushed with both my manicure and pedicure. I didn't catch his name, he never introduced himself or really said a word which made me uncomfortable and I found kinda rude honestly. He did zero cuticle treatment but just cut and tore my skin on both my fingers and toes. My nails ended up looking fine in the end, it was just the rushed service and inattention to detail that was really low quality. I still think this place is ok, but would recommend requesting any of the gals to do your nails, not whoever this guy was. read more

Use to be good. Had the worst pedicure last week. Painted toes thick ( not shellac) and sloppy...or used wrong type of polish. Heels still rough and it took like 20 minutes. Was so fast and tried to move us along. Such a bummer read more

They did the absolute bare minimum and were clearly just trying to get customers in and out. Was charged for a full pedicure and was not given any services such as massage, treating calluses and thorough trimming. When we spoke to the woman Checking us out we explained we did not receive full treatment and were given a response of "I just work here". Very unimpressed with overall experience- went home and finished the pedicures ourselves. Would not recommend and will not be back! read more

I went in about a week ago for a full set and pedicure. I paid over $130 for it all! Designs look great. Within a few days I had already 2 nails fall off my nail completely and they will do nothing to fix it. I have been to other places before and nails last weeks and still don't fall off like these do. Will not be going back here especially with high prices and poor quality. read more

I had a really bad experience at Chi Nail Bar. Ben was incredibly rude, rough, and cut my nails down to the quick so fast before I even knew what was going on. He jammed the clippers into my skin and when I said not so short! he ignored me and just kept cutting. I was with my daughter so I didn't make a big scene, but he was the worst and should not be working there. I'm so glad I dealt with him instead of my daughter. read more

It usually takes 2 hours for a Manicure ( dip & gel polish) and A pedicure. At Chi, I was out the door in 1 hour! Needless to say, I felt like I got the " Bums Rush"! The pedicure was nothing special, not even a cuticle push back. Still have rough edges on my big toes. Manicure: still have polish on sides of my nails and I had to ask for some oils for my fingers after she gave me the $ 95.00 bill! Maybe they treat their regular customers better, but that won't be me! read more

Alex did an amazing job on my gel manicure. They have good prices and lots of colors to choose from. The place is decorated very nicely and it is pretty easy to find, it is much better to park on the back side. I would definitely recommend for nails and full sets. Best place in Bozeman read more

Great quality spot for mani/pedi's that doesn't break the bank here in Bozeman. I've only seen Henry for both hands & feet and he's consistently good, taking extra care to make sure they're perfect. The front desk girls do a good job and are very friendly to new customers. I definitely recommend, but make sure to call for an appointment first as they're usually very busy since a lot of the locals come here. read more

Came in with my daughter last Wednesday @3pm spent $180 to have our toes done and gel on our hands. Worst nail job ever. Woke up next day and the coating on all my hands bubble and came right off. Had wedding Friday at the Heart ranch with daughter in wedding I didn't have time to redo. So I came in Saturday to show my nails due to this never happening before. The girl doing my daughters nails was great, she even redid two of my nails before we left because they had uneven polish on them. Came in today to redo my gel on hands that I asked to change when I came in on Saturday to show my nails to actually see them. Girl agree and set my appt for today. They told me I was paying to change nail color for 45Wow! I guess I won't be coming here Ever again! Worst service, think twice and go to Bella's I learn my lesson here! read more

On Tuesday I called to make a 1:00 appointment on Saturday with Paula. Driving 78 miles from Gardiner to Bozeman I planned my travel time to arrive on time so as not to hold Paula up. Arriving at 12:55 the receptionist took another woman to Paula's station. When I inquired why someone was being slotted in during my appointment time the receptionist informed me that the customer just needed a repair but that Harry could get me started and Paula would finish. I agreed to that and yet it never happened. Harry did a wham/bam/ thank you ma'm shoddy job. I specifically told him "shorter" NOT "short" yet my nails are barely above my fingers which I HATE because my fingers then look fat and squatty. I won't be back and definitely would steer others to find another nail salon as Chi doesn't value your time when you take the time to call ahead. read more

Went in for a manicure and asked the man doing my nails if he could do a checkerboard pattern, he said he could. But this is what I ended up with. The man genuinely thought this was satisfactory. I am so upset I paid for these nails. Probably never going back to this place again. read more

Omg I found my nail salon. Super nice staff. Wendy did my tips and dipping powder and she was the best I've ever had. You can tell she's been doing it a while and has figured out little techniques to give you solid, good looking nails. She's also super fast! Now there's no fluff (no hand massage or lotion), but she's nice while we works on you. I'll be back! read more

Worst pedi ever!!!! Booked our pedicures for the night before leaving for vacation as we were flying out of Bozeman (not from Bozeman) so thought it would be something fun to do while in Bozeman for the evening. If they lasted 15 minutes it would be an exaggeration. Soaked our feet for maybe 1 minute, barley clipped the nails and then painted them (and looks like a 7-year-old painted them-we had different people doing the pedi's, neither of them could paint nails apparently!). I guess they only have the one pedicure option-the one we got, as they didn't ask us what we would like done, so I guess just the "basic" is a nail clip and horribly painted nails for $50.00 and less than 15 minutes!!! read more

Alayna delivered the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Even after Joan's correction my hair is still too dark. I spent over $500 in services and $131 in product. It sucks but it is what it is. Though hair can always be changed how you are treated stays. It's something I'll never forget.

I received a polite call letting me know Harmony was sick. I rescheduled a couple days after to check my schedule. Please be advised I live in West Yellowstone, approximately 2 hours away from the salon. I chose hair theory because I liked their reviews. I book a hotel the evening before my appointment in February this year and drive to Bozeman. I check into my hotel and receive a call from the receptionist that Harmony has to cancel again. I actually went into the salon to speak to the manager. Cody took me on as her client which I was happy about. They put me I. For first thing in the morning. I brought my toner formula and everything. I noticed my toner was practically not even there when my hair was dry. This is formula for toner Redken shades 6RB 30 ml 6CB 30 ml 7C 20 ml 10-15 minutes This makes my hair a rich cherry tone which still sits naturally in my hair. My blow out was frizzy and my trim was uneven. I bought one product and left spending $200. I didn't realize how poorly my hair was taken care of until I returned to the stylist who shared this toner with me. My stylist pointed out my uneven cut and the brassy tone to my hair. Im aware hair oxidation is relevant ESPECIALLY with reds, however, the toners at this salon are simply watered down. There was a massive difference in quality that I could see. I'm not fully aware of other salons and quality out here and Bozeman but I must say the talent lacks at the cut back on quality here at those salon is far below mediocrity. Do more research than I did, I would choose another salon and I certainly should have taken the signs when I was canceled twice and should have just moved on. Theory is a theory of its own of what quality is I suppose....

I was so so so happy with the results of Jenn's work! She explained her technique in detail and how this cut would help with my desire to air dry my hair with ease and why it would result in little frizz. Along with her knowledge, she took photos of the end result and gave me buzz words to pass on to my next hairstylist in Florida. Above and beyond! I was in a situation where I couldn't see my normal person in town so I booked here out of convenience. It was much more expensive than any other place in town but I figured it would be worth it. After my appointment I noticed that many of my lashes we're going in different directions. I tried to brush them with the lash brush only to find that over 50% of my lashes were glued together and tangled. I wore them for an event and even my girlfriends noticed that they looked strange. One friend commented that it looked like I was going to get poked in the eye. Upon further inspection I realized that many of my natural lashes had begun to fall out but because of the glue situation, they were still trapped in with the other lashes. As I started to remove the dead lashes as gently as I could, clumps began to fall out. I went to my regular gal and had them removed. My natural lashes are so damaged that she recommended waiting a week or two before getting a new set. I've had last extensions for four years, done all over the country and this was a first for me. Do not go here.

She didn't charge me, just looked up from her super engaging phone screen from the other side of the room, waved me out of the salon saying "you're good", and returned her gaze back to her phone. I thought I'd found my hair salon, & now I don't feel like I can go back.

I am absolutely appalled by the discriminatory and unprofessional treatment my elderly and disabled parents received at this salon. My father, who has psoriasis (a non-contagious skin condition), was treated with cruelty and ignorance by his nail technician. She was rude, dismissive, and refused to provide decent service. This behavior is not only disgraceful but also discriminatory. Licensed nail technicians should be properly trained to accommodate clients with skin conditions or disabilities, not shame or exclude them. It is clear that this salon lacks both compassion and basic professionalism. I would strongly advise anyone seeking a welcoming and inclusive salon experience to take their business elsewhere. No one deserves to be humiliated or denied service because of a medical condition. This establishment should be ashamed. read more

I am completely done with Chi Nail Salon. They heard you in and out like cattle, you make appointments and you wait 35 minutes and then when you do get a pedicure, it is pure shit. My pedicure maybe lasted 15 damn minutes. I left there today absolutely furious. Chi Nail Salon will never get one more penny from me. They know nothing about customer service or keeping a clean establishment. The equipment that they use on your hands and feet is unbelievable. Someone should totally inspect that establishment. My nail technician has the most used up nail file that she uses on all her clients and then pulls the rest of her equipment out of an old beat up altoids tin box. It's beyond disgusting. read more
