Its very difficult to move a parent knowing, for his own safety, he couldn't have visitors for a while...the caregivers and leadership teams were so kind, so supportive of our family, so helpful to this "new normal". Farmstead staff really went out if their way to help our family understand complexities of Alzheimer's and take over care of Dad. Our family feels so blessed to have the Farmstead staff to lean on.The caregivers are so kind, professional, patient, respectful and genuinely nice to my Dad... it has been a comfort to know he has such good care! The facility is new, clean and so cozy, Dad had his own suite, and we were able ti make personal and cozy to help Dad feel the extended love "away" from home... Our family feels blessed to have our extended "family" at Farmstead in south Moorhead and so close and convenient for regular family and friends visits..

Since my parents moved in…read moreMay 2013 there have been promises of improvements in their food quality and services none which have happened. The administration is aware of the problems but have no action plans. Some of the issues include waiting up to an hour to get food , not being served at same time at same table, food arriving cold, poor quality foods especially the meats which are tough others processed, with high salt/deep fried food instead of homemade meals, running out of food, and not serving what is posted on their weekly menu. Management of this facility had informed residents that there would be choices "like a restaurant" for their meals. Now 6 months later they have one "special" daily. It's not uncommon to have them run out of that with a substitute of even lesser quality. This is an extremely low value facility considering the cost to rent here. The facility is nice but the food service and quality are terrible. If the food service were an option then it may be a better value. Keep looking before you sign on here!

Their saying is "If we don't know we can't grow." We let them know and let them know. Each time they'd respond that they'd let the team know. Things never changed. I've never worked so hard with so little result. Management doesn't care. It's a nice looking facility but the care is poor. Please talk to the families of residents before you put your loved one in there. We got our loved one out of there and we are SO happy with his care at the new facility. Ask how many head nurses they've had in the last five years. It's a revolving door. All the RNs run away. And New Perspective management, please don't tell me on here that you're sorry to hear this. We expressed our concerns to you over and over to no avail. Fix the problem.

Also, I can't volunteer there. VOLUNTEER!!! The elderly are something I'm extremely passionate about and the fact that I can't even still go see them and give back like I want is awful. It's awful to deny a person to volunteer. Also, in Betty harbor the residents are not paid attention to and they're so short staffed because there's not enough pay (even though they're for profit) so everyone quits. There seemed to be a push…read moreto get as many visits possible that insurance cover rather than how many my child actually needed. We saw an intern who had not yet graduated from college. I was surprised they would have us see her without asking if I was okay with an intern. I was surprised they charged us the same rate as a speech therapist with a degree. I thought she should have been supervised. She was rude and late. When I brought up that she was late and wanted to make sure she gave us the full amount of time scheduled she said the clock in the office was broken and she was not late. The clock was not broken and matched the time in my cell. The other speech therapist (Kayla?) was not nice either. We switched to a new provider. This place did not seem very legitimate. Also smells like sewage. On a positive note, the young lady at the front desk/office manager was nice.
