Beware of consigning here.. You are not given any receipt when dropping off. Anything they reject, according to their own discretion, is set aside for donation. But you cannot pick those up or get them back. These supposedly go into a monthly $5/item sale, the proceeds of which get donated. If an item is accepted and you disagree with pricing, you need to pay 20% to them to get it back. read more

BUYERS BEWARE. I went in before Christmas and purchased a piece of clothing for my mother as a gift. I was speaking to the staff (who were very friendly) and saying I hope this fits her and that she will like it. My mother tried it on at Christmas and it did not fit her. So I went to the store to return it and the person at the counter stated "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". I stated that the staff never told me that when I was purchasing the item. She said it would have been on my email receipt which I never received, and it would have been to late at that point anyway. I stated that not one person told me it was a final sale. The person at the desk showed me a small chalkboard sign that said "all sales final" which was hidden behind a plant on the counter, not viewable to people. I am not very familiar with how consignment works and I told them that when I was there buying the gift and still not one person said "all sales are final". Now I am stuck with something no one can use so I will now have to donate it! I am very disappointed!! read more

Went into the shop for the 1st time today. Have seen the shop but never went in. Today they were having a huge blowout sale and I saw the girls post about it on FB. The deals were so incredible that I had to go to the sale. There was a line forming at about 9:30 and I got in line. As I entered the store it was very welcoming and all the shoppers were pleasantly shopping too! The store was divided into 2 sections. Front end was blowout sale while back half was not but the prices for the brands were great. I spent $68 and got a lot of nice pieces for spring and summer! I will definitely be back. Chic Boutique is my go to one stop shop for fashionable clothes! They have 3 locations in MA and NH (I live closer to the Bedford one) and an online boutique. They have everything from shoes to coats, dresses and accessories - all items are in excellent barely worn / new condition and well heeled designers from Vineyard Vineyard Vines, to Michael Kors, to the occasional Louis Vuitton handbag. I've been a faithful customer for the past year! In fact, I just received a fleece Vineyard Vine vest from them in the mail today in perfect condition at 70% off of retail - score! Their stylists are super helpful at finding clothes that work for you which is a bonus. I received a FB message to my personal account (different log in than this one) explaining that they do their due diligence in making sure items are authentic. I had used that account when asking about the bag I saw and it is where they sent the invoice. Obviously they recalled the situation and ignored and denied that I ever messaged please do not contact me again. Even after I stated the above about not contacting me and reminding them, they messaged me again to state they didn't remember seeing my message. Great way to run a business! read more

When I first came across this consignment shop I was so excited because I love to consign and find great deals. I came to consign some of my nicer items. I asked about the pricing and what they were looking to sell my items for. I was told that I could find all of this information online on my new account. For the next week and a half I visited the site and saw my items posted but had no prices. I called and inquired about the price of my items not being posted and they said to keep looking at the site. Few days ago I looked at the site and saw that about six of my items were sold for much much less than I would've ever agreed to. The lack of transparency in this establishment is disappointing as I've never consigned anything anywhere that does not allow you to see what they are selling your items for before it's too late. Although this is a nice shop to find high-end items, I would not consign unless you are OK with getting surprised with little to no money. Also, the customer service was terrible, when all I was doing was trying to voice a concern. Update: 4/22/19 I am now updating my review to one star due to the owners need to continue to place blame on me AND my mother. We had questions and concerns which were not handled professionally, and it was quite uncomfortable to come back to the store to retrieve my items and i had to go on a hunt for all of my things wherever the owner placed them in the store. The lack of transparency was horrendous and after speaking to other consignment shops i frequent, they advised I voice my concern to the Better Business Bureau rather than try and converse with this establishment. read more

I consigned a big lot of very expensive items to the Bridgewater location. I was with my two little kids so I didn't read the contract in full. I emailed the owner and asked when can I pick up my items and was informed that my items were donated to the store because they were expired. I had 4 Burberry jackets among other items in this pile. The owner was not willing to negotiate and my items are now hers!!! No email or call were ever made to let me know my items are expired and ready to pull be picked up.
