We were taking a day trip up to Manchester and wanted to do some shopping. Unfortunately for us, it was a Sunday and we found out the hard way that most local stores were closed. My mother found a Talbots and wanted to check it out, so we headed there. While browsing around the same shopping center, we discovered Alapage tucked in the corner. And to our surprise, they were open!! This is a really cute boutique with different clothing, accessories and fun gifts to browse through. I even found myself a cute travel bag!! Outrageous. Manager and other employees were very rude. They were hovering the whole time even though my friends and I were just getting a forever bracelet. They asked my friend what she had in her pocket (it was her lipgloss), implying that we were shoplifting. They did not treat the other customers this way (we are not white). They said we were "enamored" with the bracelets and told us we should have them hold it for us. Can we not shop in peace? The only kind person was a teenager doing our forever bracelets. And, as we were leaving, Jen the manager asked if we paid, even though we were clearly at the register. read more

I think they have a nice range of boutique clothing at affordable price points. I just don't find it to be a fun shopping experience. Shoppping at a boutique is a relationship - I spend 3x as much when i have a helpful associate. I called the other day to find out if I could order a $200 top because they were out of my size. The woman who answered the phone acted like I was a pain in her derrière and no one called me back. Sadly, their MO. A couple weeks ago I visited this store to do some Christmas shopping because I heard they had a interesting selection of fine jewelry and clothes. I was very impressed with their merchandise, selling high brand clothes and very cute gifts, but as I was shopping the employees made me feel very unwelcome. The employees rarely helped me at all. They made my experience at this store very uncomfortable as they kept on staring at me the whole time I was in the store. It made it seem like they thought I was suspicious or did not belong there. I was very displeased at this one employee who looked me up and down as if I was less than. It is a really nice store, but not nice employees. There will be no next time as I will be taking my business somewhere else, rather than a store with employees who do not know how to treat customers. read more

Went into Talbot's store this morning, shortly after it opened. I walked around a bit, I think I did about 4 or so laps around the store. I noticed the 2 employees were free of customers. I was in the store for about 10 minutes. I watched a customer enter the store and be greeted by the sales employee. I couldn't figure out why I was being ignored so I left and went to the store behind them called Alapage. I was greeted within 10 seconds of entering and explained what I was looking for. She was friendly & helpful which was a successful experience since I bought an item. read more

Alapage - Women's Clothing Near Me - Bedford, New Hampshire

I really like this store and it's staff. They are very helpful and kind. It's my go to place when I'm desperate to purchase a gift. Their attention to detail in gift wrapping is also top notch. There is one significant problem. The prices are outrageous. Not much middle range pricing is available. Most clothing items easily start at over $100.00 With an average price of $150 for one item. I've seen these types of prices at high end stores at Fashion Island in Orange County; just too steep for even the Bedford and surrounding communities. Yet, if price is not a problem, then have at it at Alapage! You'll love the items there and their customer care. read more

YAY for another fashion boutique in the vicinity! NH has ... hmmm... just only a few nice fashion boutiques, and this is one of the few around. I like their selection of jeans here - they call it the Jean Bar. The carry a lot of citizens for humanity, true religions, AG Jeans, etc. If you join their jean bar club, you get a discount with every 4 jeans purchased ... 50% off the fifth pair of jeans! They have a good collection of BCBG clothing and other various designers like kenzie and 213, etc. They also carry limited selection of shoe apparel and a fairly large selection of jewelryand accessories that I am not as fond of. They also seem to have a portion of the store that is catered to more a more mature style .... more for my mom probably with the eileen fisher style. This store is actually pretty hidden in its current location behind Talbots and and Frederick's Pastries and T Bones etc. They used to have a location in Bedford Mall (probably relocated for a better and more reputable location) and also one in Nashua but the one in Nashua closed down due to flood issues. Stop in if you have a special occasion for a dinner or for some nice clothing for everyday casual! read more

Great boutique store however it's kinda hard to find if you aren't from the area. They have a lot of vintage inspired clothing and showcase a variety of independent and American designers. They offer a lot more than just clothing here. Cards, Bracelets, Purses, Undergarments and more. They have a large selection of items from the well known trendy and oh so popular Alex and Ani. As far as price goes I can see how other people could say it is pricy however compared to the pricing of previous boutiques I've visited in the south and west coast, this place is pretty moderate. If you find yourself appalled at the price on the tag then Google the designer, look at the materials used, or ask the associate about the piece. Don't just assume the store is trying to rip you off because they aren't. The only negative rips I have to make about the store is literally the rips and thread pulls I continue to see on their clothes. Its kinda ridiculous how many clothing pieces they have on their sales floor. There are certain stores that must "make things fit" however boutiques stores are famous for their undeniable customer service skills. Its much better to have a minimalistic looking sales floor then cram everything you can on a rack. Its an easily fixed problem just (as inconvenient as it is) go to the stock room and get the piece in the size the customer needs. You can still have quirky stylish interior with minimalistic styled organization. They also have some great deals in their clearance section. The store is very cute, lots of nice merchandise and unique gifts. The jewerly is especially cute and they have the Alex and Ani bracelets as well as a great selection of the Brighton jewelry. I only wish their customer service was as nice as their products. I have had 2 experiences where the staff was less than friendly and helpful. My friend is a huge Brighton jewelry fan and she was excited when I told her that Alapage had them. We went specifically to buy several gifts she needed for holiday and birthday presents. From the moment we started shopping we were shadowed buy an employee (not offering help) but watching us and making us feeling like we were under surveillance constantly. We did not imagine this and it would have been nice if they were at least helpful as they followed us around. She felt uncomfortable too. I would also add that we are professional looking and not that they should judge people on appearance, we do not look like stereotypical shoplifters (not that anyone cant be a shoplifter!) When we did ask for help, she wasnt that helpful and rushed us along. My friend ended up buying several items but said she would never come back b ased on the attitude we got. Weeks later, another friend went in to buy an Alex and Ani bracelet and ended up leaving without it because she was treated so dismissively. We will buy our brighton and alex and ani online now thanks. read more
