We used Chic Chef Catering for our Wedding. Planning a wedding remotely (at the time in California) for a Northwest Indiana location, it was challenging to find a catering service that checked all of our boxes, until finding Chic Chef. I found them on a Google search trying to find somewhere that would accommodate vegan options, as I (and several of my guests) are plant -based. I was thrilled reading reviews from others experience with Chef Ravi and The Chic Chef Team and decided to reach out. Their website is every easy to navigate and their food options were exactly what we were looking for. They were so accommodating while I started the planning process 100% remotely while living in California, and experienced some delays with the pandemic era. We had to scale down quite a bit from our original plan, make necessary adjustments and they were able to reconfigure our menu and options to fit our final needs. The email communication and assurance Chic Chef provided to my groom and I was excellent, and eased our minds while having to delay and rest assured being able to utilize Chic Chef after postponing. We did a tasting the week before our Big Day, and we were so glad we made the drive for it! Having a chance to meet Chef Ravi and see the creations in person and chat on our vision was such a great experience. Chic Chef Catering is incredible! I used them for my wedding and they were incredible to work with. They were easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. As soon as we had the tasting, we booked with Chic Chef immediately and didn't even try any other caterers it was that good. They met with my venue to do a final walk through a few weeks before the wedding. Day of, everything was executed flawlessly. The food was SO good. Ravi and Lucia were great! Lucia was extremely attentive to emails and the company overall made it a point to adjust the menu to our liking. They even added our favorite diet drinks to the bar. The servers on the day of were very attentive and asked us consistently if we needed any food or drinks throughout the night. We had a server just for us at our sweetheart table. The food was excellent from the tasting all the way to the big day. We even had some meals extra because some people didn't show and that they let us take it home. We hired Chic Chef catering for our wedding and all of our expectations were definitely exceeded. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount of items included in the package. We went with a buffet and it was definitely the best option for us. The tasting was laid out so professionally and everything was so delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best we've ever tasted and Ravi was right there, answering our questions and getting our feedback. A month before the wedding, they sent a representative along with my venue coordinator to meet with me and between the three of us, we made a timeline for the day. They were so considerate that they wanted to know when events (toasts, cake cutting, etc.) were taking place so that they were to not make noise during those times. They were readily available for any questions and even let me add on a non-alcoholic bar package, as well as change one of my appetizers within the last week. They were flexible and accommodating. On the day of our wedding, they were absolutely amazing. Appetizers were sent to our bridal suite after the ceremony. The servers hyped up our tables when it was their turn for the buffet and got our guests cheering. Everyone was so nice and our plates were handled by servers instead of us getting up and standing in line. Our guests loved all of the food and eagerly went back for seconds. We were able to rent our plates and silverware from them as well and it was all lovely. Ravi even dressed up our sweetheart table and checked in on us from time to time. The service was wonderful and the food delicious. All our guests continue to comment about how delicious every meal was! They provided the tools to cut up our cake at no additional cost and sliced it up for us so that it came out along with their array of miniature sweets. Ravi said he's never seen so many people get up for dessert. He told me it was his first wedding at our venue; he could have fooled me because they were pros. All this to say that their prices are unbeatable for the amount of service and the wonderful experience that comes with it. I can't wait to hire them again. Chef Ravi and his team are wonderful! We booked them for out 2020 wedding but unfortunately due to COVID-19 concerns we had to move it to 2021. They were so understanding and helpful to switch the date. We ended up doing a small family only wedding ceremony in our backyard that Chic Chef catered. CHIC CHEF IS THE BEST! We cannot say enough good things about them! Ravi + Lily bent over backwards to help accommodate us with our wedding tastings during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were so flexible and so easy to work with. Lily and Ravi were very responsive to every email and every question we had. They even worked with our budget and helped us chose things that worked well with our venue. Having great food at our wedding was so important to us, and everything we tried was DELICIOUS! The day of our wedding, we got SO MANY compliments on our food and the service Chic Chef provided. We had the chicken florentine and the Brazilian churasco for our entrees, and the asparagus and rice for the sides. They were perfect. For our apps, we had the veggie eggrolls, the tuna wontons, and the bacon apple crostini. AMAZING! Our passed apps were TO DIE FOR and there was plenty to go around for all of our guests. We chose a buffet style for our reception because it worked well with our budget- let me tell you, if you are worried about buffet style, like I was, DON'T BE! This was a served buffet and everything was warm, flavorful and delicious. Everything looked very professional - and it was perfect. Ravi from Chic Chef works so hard to make sure your wedding is perfect. And he will not nickel and dime you. We wanted an open bar and he suggested we opt out of their liquor package and suggested we buy our own alcohol to save money. It worked out perfectly. They guided us on how much alcohol to buy and we had plenty for their bartenders to serve throughout the evening. Their bartenders (forgive me, I forgot their names!)were so fun and engaging! They even started dancing and had fun at our reception which our guests loved! Also, during the reception, we wanted to have bottles of wine on each table to self serve as the bar would be closed during dinner. The bartenders opened all of our bottles of wine and ensured everything was at the tables before reception start. It worked out so well! Now let me get to the star of the show (other than the food itself) --- ENRIQUE! A HUGE THANK YOU TO ENRIQUE! He was absolutely the best part of our wedding and he made sure our wedding was perfect, and it was all thanks to him! During cocktail hour we took pictures, and he followed my husband and I around with appetizers and drinks to make sure we actually got to eat the food! Throughout the entire reception he made sure we had everything we needed. He even brought us water to alternate with the alcohol we were drinking, which my husband and I appreciated! ;) We loved his light up serving tray too! Ravi and his team were amazing from initial contact to the day of and thereafter. We were planning a 300-350 person wedding with a variety of different palates and Chic Chef was able to knock every dish out of the park and make the menu truly unique to us and our special day. What set them apart from the numerous vendors we interviewed was there above and beyond customer service. They really wanted to make our day special and went out of their way to assist even in areas that were outside their scope or not typically a caterers responsibility. They showed up on time, were very professional and I didn't have to even worry about a thing thanks to my event coordinator Myrna. She was fantastic! My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better caterer for our wedding. From the tasting to day-of, Ravi's attention to detail and communication put our minds at ease, even with our Covid wedding. When we were planning our wedding, Chic Chef checked all the boxes for us: great food with a lot of options, a competitive price point, and a caterer with experience. And if there's any skepticism the food at your wedding will taste as good as the testing, it most certainly did for us. We had several guests comment that the steak was not the standard overcooked, tough cut of meat you'd get at a wedding. Working with Lilly from Chic Chef as our day-of coordinator was also a pleasure. If you're on the fence about hiring a day of coordinator, we *highly* recommend doing so and going with Lilly. She was the perfect complement to Ravi, and we had no doubt all the details would be handled between the two of them. Hired them for my 200+ person wedding a couple weeks ago and they were just fantastic. Ravi, the owner, ended up working the event and he made sure everything was in place. The ceremony had some unrelated delays but Ravi and his team of about 16 people rolled with the punches and handled everything perfectly. Ravi even came looking for us during our wedding photos to bring us apps. They were incredibly professional and the food was even better than the tastings which was also very good. We had the braised short rib and the lasagna along with a kale salad, garlic mashed potatoes and pan fried carmelized brussel sprouts. I wish I wasn't so busy otherwise I would have stuffed my face. Wow....what can I say. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I ordered food well in advance for my event and at the very last minute (the day of) we had more people coming than intended. Maya was able to accommodate my needs by providing more food. So that was a great start. When the food was dropped off Ravi was so pleasant and worked really hard getting things set up. Plus, he was early! He even offered to run to the store for me to buy more of the warmers though he suggested to not leave the food out too long. The team was amazing and the food was even better!!! Due to COVID, we had to change our wedding plans completely and switch to a backyard wedding at a property we'd never seen and plan a new wedding in a couple months. Our experience with Chic Chef started with a tasting. It was a far drive for us city kids to the suburbs and Ravi was understanding of us running late due to traffic.
