I was about 6weeks postpartum, and mama really needed to feel good about herself! The price for the extensions was VERY favorable compared to what many other salons/technicians are requesting. The salon is wonderful - bright, clean, modern. I was greeted right when i walked in. My technician (i'm sorry, i forgot her name but i think she's no longer at the salon) was extremely friendly, accommodating, and explained every step of the process as we went through the service. My only complaint was that the lashes started to fall off sooner than i expected - which she did mention i might lose a couple here or there within the first few days, but i'm talking about like within 3-4days my lashes looked like they were missing huge chunks! I ended up just having to take them out within a week since they looked absolutely ridiculous being so spotty. I could have called and set up an appointment, but with a newborn it wasn't that simple to find the time. But no hard feelings! Still adore the place, and love following the ladies (and gentleman) of the salons work.

As far as last year, when I called because I could not get the nail polish off my nails, I paid $10 extra for because I was told it would last longer. I called spoke to a rude girl who said well it should come off with regular nail polish remover and I told her it didn't and she said, we'll then I don't know what to tell you! Beth took the time to discuss what I wanted to do before my first appointment. I sent her pictures and ideas and we went over options. When I got there, I felt really comfortable, and Beth was completely genuine and friendly which is a big deal when you are with someone for long periods of time. Not only did I love the color she gave me, but I loved her and her partner. I got a really good vibe there. I am sure I drive her crazy with my demands but she is never fazed. I work downtown and constantly asked where I get my haircut... people are disappointed when I tell them it is out in the burbs. I love Melissa so much that I even started bringing my daughter to her for her hair. Melissa has waxed, cut and dyed us and always does a fantastic job. I tried to trim my daughter's hair with some clippers and she vehemently said only Melissa can touch her hair. Salon is very well kept and clean. Unfortunately, I have to select a star, this place doesn't deserve anything at all…read more In retrospect, I should have left a long time ago, I honestly do not know what to say at this point, except the person who was cutting and coloring my hair was totally inept. She was malicious, continually would contradict herself, and would repeatedly deflect her lack of knowledge and state must be something I am doing incorrectly, yet I had never had the issues that were recurring anywhere else. I contacted the color manufacturers regarding the continual issues with the color, she never made any attempt to identify why my hair was both bright orange and gold when it should have been mahogany brown. I found out that she was using a deposit only hair color which washed out after 14 or so shampoos. This I identified when I asked to see what she was using and found it was a temporary color, which I have never had anyone use anywhere else I ever went. When I questioned this the following month, she stood there and blatantly lied and stated something different, however, the boxes she brought out clearly indicated that it was temporary along with the manufacturer's documentation. Both products she used (2 different manufacturing products), were producing identical results, yet she tried to claim it was shampoo or that I used well water, which I don't, and I have always used a premier shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair since I began coloring my hair, and never had a problem anywhere else, only this place I have never been to a more unprofessional place in my life, more importantly repeated problems, horrific listening skills, continual one-upmanship, arrogance, and a lack of knowledge, in extremely basic cutting and shaping skills. Listening skills are very key in their profession, lying is also something you should never do, especially when items are very easily identified. Not once did she ever attempt to form any type of apology for completely screwing up the color or the cut. She also never stated "don't worry about paying this month, I know there have been a lot of problems". The smartest thing I did was walk away from a very shabby shop.
