To make matters worse, there was a hair floating in the water. Instead of changing the water, it was simply removed with a towel and the service continued. What bothered me the most was the no-chip removal process. Rather than properly soaking the polish off, a rough nail file that felt like a piece of sandpaper was used repeatedly on my nails. It was uncomfortable, actually hurt, and left me questioning whether proper removal techniques were being followed. I've visited several student salons before and understand that students are learning, but this experience was nowhere near the standard I've come to expect.
