I went to a couple of bike shops to have my flat tires fixed. Both had long lines and it would take a weeks if I request for an appointment. I texted Chicago Bike Tuner and received a response in a couple of hours. I did not have to wait and fall in line. He went to my apartment the next day and fixed my flat tires and tuned up my bike quickly. Best part of all, he gave me a discount as a first time customer. One of the best customer service I've had in a while. I highly recommend Chicago Bike Tuner. It's like having a concierge bike service. They service your bike with a smile! Look for Michael, he's the best!

I probably would have been defeated if assembled myself, but Michael spent extra time and solved problems.

I have to give a shout out to the village cycle center…read more I've been getting increasingly into cycling over the last couple years as it seems to be the only kind of fitness that doesn't absolutely wreck my body. And at the end of last season I decided it was time to upgrade the fx3 (which I also got from VCC during covid). Now for the last 8 months I've been browsing trek.com, specialized.com, reddit, facebook marketplace, etc., trying to get a sense of what I want. I'll say considering most bike manufacturers have a large range of bikes for each model, the marketing folks then don't do a particularly great job explaining the differences. Enter VCC. I stopped by because I wanted to know if I was 56 or 58cm, with a plan to go buy used in the approximate $2000 range. My man Tim spent maybe 2-3 hours with me walking me through the entire range of trek road bikes, teaching me the differences among the gearsets, alloys used in the frames, the brakes, etc. It really made me confident in terms of zeroing in on the bike that would fit my needs. And it just so happened they had a prior year model at a price that was close-ish to my original budget (lol). Walked home with a new Domane SL5, and now something like 6 weeks and 500+ miles later I'm a pretty happy camper.

Gears are back to shifting smoothly and they cleaned it well so it is like new. They even added new tape to the handlebars. Very happy with the service and will continue coming back! Once they previously helped me install some pedals I bought there for free. Just above and beyond what you get at other local bike shops I've been to sometimes.

We walked in with a budget of $5000, my…read morehusband and I got about 4 minutes of attention from the sales rep, he didn't really ask us what we had been looking at, he just recommended one bike then offered us a test ride. I think he was trying to get rid of stock. After my husband did the ride, I scanned the QR code on the bike and then looked at the specs so I could keep it for our records. The sales rep then was extremely pushy asking if we wanted to buy the bike with about 5 minutes of attention, he didnt give us the opportunity to ask questions about the bike. He said he only had 1 left in stock so we should make a decision asap, as I scanned the QR code I could actually see the inventory by adding to my cart. I could add 10 to my cart before I got the "lack of inventory" error. So he was definitely trying to push this bike. Now we've shopped around and done our research smaller bike stores are definitely where you should go. They genuinely care about you more, ask you to questions about your riding experiences and do not push you to a sell at all, they know buying the right bike is an investment that shouldn't be rushed. If you're buying a bike in the $200-1400 range this would be a great spot but not for specialitst bikes!

The people that work at Kozy's are the real deal! They always have the answer when you need an expert. They took my request. Wrote up a ticket and we agreed on a timetable and price. I received a call a week later from a senior manager making sure I wanted to spend this amount of money on this bike. I assured him that I was restoring a cherished item and I was not concerned with cost. He said ok let's do it! Kozy's couldn't have just did what I asked and collected the money (which I knew was crazy for that bike but it was my dad ! I love that they were looking out for me over their profits! I will never use anyone but Kozy's !! Pictures to come!!

It turned out that the rotor for my back wheel was slightly bent. They changed my tires, ordered a new rotor for my back wheel and installed it. They had to completely take apart my electric bike in order to install the new rotor. It took them about a week, about a half week of that was getting the rotor delivered. Great guys, very knowledgeable and friendly, a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Cole waved the charge for changing the rotor in my back wheel because they missed it the first time I came over to pick my baby up, after a few miles it had started making that worrying noise again. Definitely quality of service and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend!!

I came, I saw, I e-biked... and now I'm addicted!…read more Let me start by saying, this place is *shockingly* awesome. I walked into EZ Rider looking for an e-bike and walked out feeling like I had just joined a cult--but like, a really cool, eco-friendly cult where everyone smiles and talks about torque and battery life. The owners Cole and Eric are basically the Tony Stark of e-bikes, but way more approachable and with better jokes. They took the time to explain everything to me, even though my only question was, "Does it come in green?" (Spoiler: it does.) The bikes are top-notch, the prices are fair, and the vibes are immaculate. I've never felt so cool riding something that doesn't require a gym membership. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm saving the planet one pedal-assist at a time. If you're thinking about getting an e-bike, do yourself a favor and stop by EZ Rider. Just don't blame me when you start referring to your car as "the old-fashioned way to get around."
