    We had such an amazing time. This was our 2nd Annual Casino Night for a large corporation. Bert and his team once again exceeded all expectations! Last year was great, but fast forward 12 months later and they are even better. They invested in high quality chairs(definitely worth getting), excellent dealers and a classy event. Can't wait for next year!

As a project manager, it was necessary to me to find someone who would take on the responsibility of planning our wedding such that I could enjoy being part of the process; it wouldn't be a second job for me. Savoury Chic has allowed me to enjoy the planning process and live in the moment as all of the pieces come together! Our very first call was an offloading on my part. Char patiently listened to all of the "up-to-now" statuses I could provide. I still called around, and other planners seemed preoccupied and even blase in our initial discussions. Out of all the planners I had looked at, Savoury Chic was the only one that I felt I could share with my partner. Until he met Char, he was apprehensive about even paying for a planner. Our first meeting was positive for us, and genuinely reinvigorating for me as we began charting more concrete steps. I have the utmost confidence that our August wedding is going to be greater than I have imagined because of her team's attention to detail, creativity, and genuine care. Here are some highlights from our experience thus far: 1. Advocacy: When it came to rentals, Char took on the task of finding vendors that worked for the budget. She presented what we thought we wanted as well as what we needed. She also helped us think through how best to navigate complex family relationships. 2. Accessibility: Be it in person, on call or via text, Char was always accessible when we needed her. How she does it, I will never know. 3. Organization, Planning, and Management. No matter who--my partner and I or a vendor--Char always followed up, so our planning remained on track. I also loved their online planning hub because it centralized all of our files, seating arrangements, schedules, budget--you name it! I can't recommend Char Jackson and Savoury Chic enough.

I've been behind…read morethe scenes at many weddings, and I can honestly say that Savory Chic--and Char, in particular--is something special. I literally cannot imagine someone who is better at this than Char: she's extremely organized and competent, forthright with advice but not pushy when it comes to decision-making, very savvy and sensitive when it comes to interpersonal dynamics--and, on top of all that, she's a friendly, warm person who helps you feel at ease and confident that everything will come together. Throughout the planning process, Char was extremely helpful. I honestly didn't think we needed a planner when we began the process of putting together our wedding--but, looking back now, hiring Savory Chic was the best decision we made in the entire process. Char is really good at feeling you out and figuring out your dynamic, your style, your values. She is a great listener. I never felt like I was being pushed or herded in any specific direction. At the same time, Char was really good at tactfully and respectfully giving us advice about the potential risks, costs and advantages of particular sorts of decisions--e.g. doing a buffet versus having table service for the dinner. This is exactly the balance you want in a planner: you want someone who won't be overbearing and pushy, but you also want someone who knows their stuff and is forthcoming with honest feedback about what works and what doesn't. Savory Chic will save you thousands of dollars. The wedding industry can be very intimidating and there are tons of people out there looking to charge you more than they should. You need someone in your corner who can negotiate with vendors and draw on knowledge of going rates to make sure you get competitive prices. Char is very good at doing that. Char is also extremely generous with her time. She responds very quickly to texts and emails and calls. When she says she's going to do something, she does it when she says she'll do it. As the wedding day approaches, she does regular phone check-ins which have the function both of making sure everything is coming along and, perhaps most importantly, making sure that you and your partner are feeling comfortable and confident that the big day is going to come together nicely. The day-of execution was also really excellent. The folks on Char's team are friendly and interpersonally savvy--and this is not to be taken for granted. They're also extremely organized, competent and good at what they do. I was very impressed with their work and everything they did behind the scenes. Because of their effectiveness and efficiency, I was able to sit back, relax and be fully present the day of my wedding. That is something I'll always cherish.

    I just attended the 1920's Murder Mystery Martini Party this past weekend with a few of my friends…read moreand my boyfriend, and we had a BLAST! First, I want to say thank you to TopAct for helping me get 3 additional tickets so I could bring my friends along, I reached out to Oliver after seeing the event was sold out, and he was able to open the ticket sale back up for me so I could grab the additional tickets!! We were absolutely ecstatic!! The planning process is very well put together! We got our character sheets over a week in advance, which made it easy to start planning our outfits and get in character. Along with the character sheet was an overview of the murder as well as a list of suspects. I was very impressed by the detail that TopAct went into for the characters and event! You don't just get a name with a few clues, you get a whole page of information about your character that really helps you give the character depth, and you don't have to create a whole backstory yourself. Walking into the event, I was immediately impressed! The Martini Room was a great venue, and the decorations they placed (along with the dead body) really helped it feel 'on theme'. I could go on about how fun the event was, but I'll keep it relatively brief. The planning was fantastic, the TopAct reps guided us all through the evening and ensured we were mingling, talking, and looking for clues. I played one of the suspects, and it was probably the most fun to be one so if you have the chance, I recommend it :) They wrapped up the evening very well, and the murder was not incredibly easy to solve - which was great! It made you think, and not everyone was able to get the right answer in the end so it wasn't something you could solve in 10 minutes. Overall, a massive 5 stars to TopAct - I highly recommend!!!

We were given instructions/character sketches prior to the event so that we were ready to assume our characters as soon as we arrived. Most of the guests had wonderful 1920's attire on and were really involved in interacting with one another. The more people played their part, the more fun it became. The storyline was interesting to follow (and be a part of) as we worked to solve the mystery. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out as a date or with a group of friends.

We exchanged a few emails and then set up a call to go over details. I had a few ideas, but wasn't quite sure what else I wanted and Swetal was gracious to walk through and explain things that I hadn't even thought about. Leading up the wedding, we had one more call to go over last minute details and that was it!! She knew exactly what I wanted and was kind enough to point out certain elements I had forgotten about. On my wedding day, the decor honestly could not have been anymore perfect. They were punctual, the decor looked INCREDIBLE and everything was exactly like we had discussed. We were so happy with them and are so grateful for all their hard work and effort they put into these weddings, especially after a rough pandemic year. Swetal and her team are so easy to work with, very transparent with pricing/looks, and honestly just so easy to chat with! I think we talked about just normal life stuff more than the decor aspect of things because I trusted them completely to execute what we had discussed and they did! Before the wedding she is creative, organized, accommodating, on top of everything, gives good advice, tells you how it really works, gives you lots of options to consider and such an educator in the wedding world, and again has great references of vendors. The day of she becomes the personal assistant for whatever you need and makes sure everything runs smoothly by taking care of all issues behind the scene. The decor they created was truly magical. When I came downstairs after getting ready and saw what they had done with the greenery, candles, and overall setup, I was blown away.
