Great experience playing squid games at immersive Gamebox! I will have to say that our interactive wall was not working for a couple of the games. We were able to alert staff and they tried restarting. It still didn't work so they moved us to a different room. I also felt that some of the game directions were not thorough enough making it hard to know what you were supposed to be doing. If I hadn't watched squid games I probably would have been completely confused. Overall a great experience but a few kinks to work out with technology. Staff were very helpful. They were able to push back the time several hours when we noticed we couldn't make it at the selected time. I also thought it was cool that they offered drinks and snacks that could be delivered to the rooms!

Boy oh boy!!! What a fun experience for the entire family! My boys absolutely loved it. Parking was easy and great at the Oak Brook Mall. They have lockers where you can store your jackets and valuables while you enjoy a fun time. We picked 30 mins of Angry Birds + 30 mins of Shaun the Sheep. We all had a great time. It was teamwork for the family. We laughed our butts off. Definitely a wonderful time for the entire family. If you are a fan of Angry Birds, definitely give this game a try. Fun for all ages. Adam was so helpful and wonderful and I already gotten tons of friends who wanted to know what this Immersive Gamebox is all about. We really enjoyed this as a family and a great time together and tried something new. We will definitely be back for the other games but today I got 2 hilarious GIFs to take home with me so I get to laugh and remember this experience for a long long time!

Your next game night needs to be here! It's fun and something different to do that will guarantee a night full of laughs! AND you'll be able to start identifying who should be your survival partner They have games for almost all ages - which is awesome because you can go here for a family night out, take a group of friends or enjoy a date night doing something out of the ordinary. The fully immersive experience allows you all to put your skills together and navigate through challenges to climb the leaderboard and win! We played Squid Games and had sooooooo much fun and had even more fun putting our heads together and trying to solve puzzles to make it to the next round. Tip - get something to drink bc it gets hot!!!! lol Round up your crew and go have a blast!

Had a great time at immersive games. We selected the squid game's virtual. There is an option to order beverages every 15 minutes, which were cool. But a little expensive. I like the fact that you only have to wear a head band which tracks your movements. There games were extremely interactive and fun. Overall, we would definitely do it again.

Looking for something fun to do on a Saturday night? Grab you friends and head to Immersive Gamebox for a fun experience! When you're here it's like your transformed into a virtual world. They offered a variety of immersive games, such as Tetris and Angry Birds. We played Squid Games. That lasted us an hour. There are some games that are only 30 mins as well. There were lockers to store your belongings while everyone enjoyed themselves. When you walk into your gaming space. It did feel a little tight for the 6 of us but we still managed to have enough space to play the game. Squid Games was a fun but it did get a little frustrating because of how sensitive the head sensor was. At the end we were able to do a little GIF video that they send to you for memories. It gets pretty warm in there, and even hotter when you're moving around, so don't wear anything to heavy. Will be back to try the other games out.

Our kids have been dying to try this place since it opened and we decided to give it a try for our sons birthday. Booking through the website was super frustrating because it kept making me work through the whole booking process and entering my payment information and then it would just sit... and then it would say the time slot was booked. I did try to call but the phone said something about them not taking live calls? I ended up having to book from someone else's phone, which made me nervous about how things would go once we arrived. Once we arrived, everyone was friendly & helped us get set up with lockers, waivers and our game room. We had a wide range of ages and tried to pick the best games to accommodate but I think better website explanations might have helped. We played angry birds and the coin temple. One hour was more than enough time, the kids were definitely done but I think the adults might come back and try the squid games on our own. Sam helped us at the desk and was great!

My boyfriend and I took my two nephews (13/15) during Christmas break- they loved it and had fun. The games were easy to understand, super interactive, lots of movement, all players had equal chances to play, and you could easily order food and beverage while playing. Over all this was a good time, would def go again with friends. This could be a fun family activity but you could also enjoy this activity with all adults if you are looking for something fun to do with friends or need a fun double date activity.

YES YES YES!!! This was seriously such a fun time - like for real. We were a group of 5 - 3 adults and 2 kids ages 10 + 11, and let me tell you, not only the kids loved this but the adults too! You get your own room (the game box) and play a series of competitive games. You wear a headset that contains sensors to connect to the game on the wall and your body is essentially the game piece - so when you move, the game piece moves and are given instructions on how to play. 5 people was not too many for the room and we were able to complete all the games. We chose an Alien game which had 4 games, each lasting 11 minutes. The 4 games were all different but you were given instructions before each game began. The games were easy to understand and are fun for all age groups. There are also music and lights flashing in the game box just to be aware and wear cool clothing because it can get warm with all the movement. You can also adjust the music in the room if it gets too loud. Honestly - I'm not joking, this is one of the funnest group actrivities I've done in the area and it's a really good option for groups and when you can't find anything to do in the winter ;0. Seems somewhat affordable with prices around $20/person (which compared to axe throwing is great!). We will be back!

Ask the Community - Immersive Gamebox

Can 2 1/2 year olds play anything here?

All the reviews were groups or couples, is this something that one person can walk in and have fun doing? Is 45 minutes enough time?

Is this something to do with 5 and 8 yr old children?

    Absolutely!

For parties can you take in juice boxes? We get pizza or cupcakes but is juice allowed?

Hi Johnna, You are not allowed to bring in drinks from outside. We have drinks here! Food Packages are only for purchase with a Venue Hire.

Can you do a walk in?

Yes, you can just walk in.

ONCE UPON A TIME.......IN LOMBARD…read more This beloved indoor entertainment center is still hanging in there after 40+ years. I'll admit, I didn't have "attend a work outing at Enchanted Castle" on my 2025 bingo card, yet here we are. I found myself reminiscing about birthdays from the past, how many tokens I spent here as a preteen, and what on earth I was doing at a kids entertainment center with a group of engineers. As they've been since 1983, Enchanted Castle on Roosevelt Rd in Lombard is a one-stop shop for fun.  They have party rooms, a large arcade with ticket counter and 7-8 different attractions.  It's like a bigger version of Chuck E Cheese with a medieval theme, a Dave & Busters aimed at kiddos. You can pay for things a la carte, or get a $40 "max pack" that gets you a $15 game card and access to any 3 attractions.  Our large group hit up the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, and go karts.  One staffer helped us out during our time here, and kudos to her for being patient when we couldn't make up our minds on what to do next. I'll start with the best: the go karts ($9/pp).  Although the track itself is small and not terribly exciting, these go karts were peppy and handled well.  You get a decent number of laps, too, and it must be popular enough to warrant having its own dedicated entrance off to the right - Castle Karts. Next came laser tag ($9/pp).  The packs seemed heavy, but the guns were very accurate IMO.  It was a 'capture the flag' objective and despite a small arena, there was just enough space to move around.  They also have Route 66 mini bowling ($5/pp), bumper cars ($5/pp), a scaled down 'Scrambler' type ride ($5/pp), and a playground area with slides ($5/kid). The glow in the dark Black Knight's "Adventure" Golf ($7/pp) was the weak link of the bunch.  9 holes of poorly lit, uninspired putt putt with odd scenery choices - they couldn't decide between skeletons or squires - and lazy hole design led to several in our group bailing partway through.  One girl even twisted her ankle walking around an obstacle!  This is an area that could definitely benefit from a facelift or new attraction. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, Enchanted Castle had a 3D motion theater that played several iWerks films like Dino Island, Alpha One Cowboy, and Red Rock Run.  This wild motion simulator was always the highlight of my visit, but I can't find ANY record of it in web archives..... was this a fever dream?? Their arcade has a mix of new and old, lots of ticket redemption games with flashy shoot-em-ups sprinkled in.  They had Beat Saber VR (for a whopping 24 credits) as well as some vintage games like the one where you use an air cannon to shoot out the clown's teeth.  Many years ago, they had a dedicated area for pinball machines....now they have none.  *sigh* I expected very little from the food and was pleasantly surprised.  The italian beef ($12) was pretty good, no complaints about the fries.  The large appetizer platter ($40) had a little bit of everything: 7 mozza stix, 7 wings, 7 tenders, 12 mini tacos, and 8 pretzel sticks with dipping sauces.  They also had beer on tap @ $6.50 per pint, not too bad. * TL;DR * Enchanted Castle is supposed to be for young'ins, but if you have fun here as a grown-up I won't tell anyone. Being in business for 43 years is no small feat, especially when you consider the sweeping effect COVID had on the realm of indoor entertainment.  I'm amazed (and relieved) that Enchanted Castle's drawbridge has stayed open despite so much volatility in the world.  I don't imagine that the handful of folks we saw on a Thursday afternoon is representative of how much foot traffic EC actually gets. Here's to hoping they have many more years ahead of them, making joyful memories for scores of kids in the western Chicago suburbs.  I'd hate to see an indelible part of my childhood be gone for good. "The handsome prince raced his mighty steed around the go kart track, while the beautiful princess enjoyed several games of Skee-Ball.  And they played happily ever after!"

We arrive and proceed to purchase 4 mini golf, $5 worth batting cage and wanted 5 of us to ride go karts. So good amount of money. As we were saying what we wanted to purchase for the go karts the owner steps in and says oh no your son can't ride. I proceeded to ask why he couldn't because we have been on before as he exceeds the height for the ride. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY YOU HAVE TO BE 3 YEARS OLD AND HIT THE HEIGHT. I proceeded to move on and just golf. As we were finishing our rounds I glance over at the go karts as my son was so upset he wanted to go. I see a father and his son WAY SMALLER AND LOOKED WAY YOUNGER than my kid getting into the go kart. So yes momma is pissed I proceed to walk back to the counter and ask the owner how is that child allowed to ride but mine cannot. He said what child. I then tell him where the child was and he said well I trust my employees. LOAD OF BULLSHIT!!! So if your child is not 3 but hits the height might as well just lie about their age because shit you won't fridge if he's there your child can hit height but still not ride. You sign a waiver saying it's your choice and your responsibility. I agreed to that and was fine my child is in my hands and my responsibility. But nope let someone else make that decision for you. So disappointing and overall disgusting how that other child was let on. I attached proof of my child riding before. Overall, good place for a family but be prepared for rules to change. Great prices hence why we spend 4/7 nights there at the cages. And bring our family here. And the kids working are amazing.

Weren't sure if Flyover Chicago would equal that experience. It did. I booked the tickets online, saving time. We went up the escalator to the start of the tour. I had to stow my backpack in one of their lockers. It was cost free. Sweet! (Downstairs, Navy Pier had $7 lockers.) Important tip: Don't forget to retrieve your items after the flyover. The flyover experience was in multiple stages. First a nicely done video about Chicago. Not dry recitation of dates & stuff. Kept it interesting for the audience. Then, a safety brief and we went to the Flyover seats for the main event. Wow! Even though the seats aren't moved all that far, the motion synched with the immersive video gave the illusion of actually flying. Some parts have a steep dive which can be either thrilling or scary. If scary, just close the eyes for a couple of seconds and all fine. Totally safe. The visuals are creatively capturing so much of Chicago. We felt that we had taken a whirlwind tour of the city. Now, inspiration to see the scenes in person. Exit through--you guessed it -- the gift shop. Oh, the the exit on the lower main level. 3X THE FUN Triple…read morePlay is located in Hometown Square in between the train station and the season pass processing center. The ride opened in 1976 and was manufactured by HUSS Rides. It is also known as a Trokia, which means 'group of three' in Russian. The Triple Play has three arms extending out from a center column. Each of these cars can seat up to two people and are located at the end of every arm in a circle. Now the fun begins when the operator turns on the ride. The center column rotates in a clockwise motion while the cars located at the end of the arms rotate in a counterclockwise motion. I am getting dizzy just thinking about this ride and let's not forget the sweeping motion of the ride as it goes up and down. You will also notice a slight rocking motion of the car from side to side. Now my description sounds a lot worse then the ride actually is. In fact, this ride is quite mild. It is a great beginner ride for your little one as you slowly work your kids up to bigger and faster coasters. This is another one of those rides that I have ridden on as a child and with my child. It is always fun to share these childhood memories. The line may look long but it moves fast. If I do my math correctly 21 cars times 2 people means 42 people can potentially ride at one time. I also feel that many people miss this ride because it is tucked in the corner. Make sure to do not wait until the end of the night to ride this because it will shut down early to accommodate the evening stage show and the nightly parade. You have been warned. My little one loves this ride and it is always fun to ride with her on it. She laughs and giggles. It always cracks me up when she asks me to hold on to her. This ride only has a metal lap bar and it does feel like you might fly out as the ride goes into it's dropping motion. I was curious as to how many of these rides still exist. I was able to find out in the USA, there are at least eight Troikas in operation and they are located at Cedar Point, Palace Playland, Kings Island, Elitch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Fun Spot Amusement Park, Six Flags Great America, and Six Flags Over Texas.
