Tight walkways, limited seating and few food options make this area a bit difficult to want to spend time in. I generally fly United so I'm used to the additional spaces in terminal 1 and 2. My travels this time had me in 3 and I'll think again before flying American because of the construction.

We were in line for 30 seconds. But my son doesn't have TSAPre and he waited over 1 hour in line and was nervous he was going to miss the flight. We were nervous he was going to miss it. Food is really really expensive and typically it will be old as they just make large batches or you will wait long for food. Busy Busy. busy!

It was pretty easy to navigate our way out of Terminal 3 that night and locate the rideshare pickup spot. Monday night, we were flying out of Terminal 1. Security was quite a lengthy process but they kept it moving. It was the first time I've had to walk past drug-sniffing dogs as part of the security process, so that was an experience. Security itself was easy and TSA was friendly. We had a last-minute gate change due to limited gate options that required a quick stride through half of the terminal (B concourse), but we made it. I do wish they'd reconfigure their seating though, as with the swivel chairs, there were not enough seats for everybody waiting to board.

I was able to find a farmer fridge for breakfast which is nice since I am dairy and gluten free. The small area with a few seats and charges was ghetto and my plug fell out. We flew Delta between Atlanta and Chicago recently, and traveled through O'Hare's Terminal 5…read more Terminal 5 is used for Delta, Frontier, and Southwest. This terminal is fine. Rideshares can drop you off at Terminal 5, but they are not allowed to pick you up here. Therefore, we had to take the Airport Transit System (ATS) train from Terminal 5 to Terminal 2 to call an Uber. This was a bit confusing and inconvenient after landing, but the signage was clear enough to follow. We spent most of our time in Terminal 5 at the Delta Sky Club in Concourse M, located between Gates M14 and M11. It's excellent as far as Sky Clubs are concerned. I left a five-star review for it separately here on Yelp. Terminal 5 is big and is in a separate building away from the Terminal 1, 2 and 3 buildings, which is why you need to take the train between the buildings. Terminal 5 contains all the M gates, M1-M40.

Terminal 2 is to be completed demolished and replaced. Until then, we have this. Terminal 2 serves mostly domestic flights. Delta, Alaska and United fly out of here. Concourses E and F hold the gates. You can catch the CTA Blue Line here on the lower level. Connects to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 via indoor pedestrian walkways. No need to go through security if you have a connecting flight. Ample dining and shopping choices to kill the time between flights. Or a short walk to your connecting gate. Or in my case, literally the gate over on one of my recent connecting flight. This is busy, but I can only imagine what this place will be like when they do move forward with their plans.

As far as airport lounges go, this one's okay The main thing to know is that it is a very-very…read morelarge lounge. The reason this lounge was designed as such a large space is due to the fact that there's a lot of people in here. That's just something to keep in mind as a basis for your understanding. In terms of design, this lounge has various types of seating. They have the more comfortable chairs located throughout the various rooms at this lounge. They also have numerous seats that are associated with tables. This is probably best for people like myself, who enjoyed grabbing a quick snack, and having a drink, before it's time to board the aircraft. They also have long desks with charging ports set up for those who want to get some work done. Plus, there are some self-standing seats spread out throughout the lounge area. In terms of food offerings, they have food buffets on two ends of the lounge. Both of these buffets offer a unique blending of Quick-Food, as I like to call it. Is pretty good. I will say, that I've never been disappointed in what they offer. You can always find something to suit your pallet. In terms of drinks, they have drink offerings at both ends of the lounge, as well, in association with the food buffets. There, you can get your expected soft drinks, coffee, and water. If you want alcoholic beverages, you have to go down to the one end of the lounge, where they have a bar. There, they generally have two bartenders. Each of which is happy to give you whatever you want. They often mix drinks, beers, wine, and all that kind of stuff. Many of the drinks are all free. But, if they are, be sure to throw the bartenders a tip. I think that's an important gesture. Some people decide to sit along the bar while they enjoy their drinks. I guess they are just type of people who enjoying hanging out at bars. I don't find out all that comfortable, or appealing, as you're basically elbow-to-elbow with somebody, you don't really know. But, that's just my personal opinion. If I have one complaint about this lounge, it's the fact that it's not really set up for the first class domestic passengers on United. Whereas, is you are flying internationally on United, they use the Star Alliance lounges that are specifically designed for its first and business class passengers. In terms of this lounge, pretty much anybody can get into it, simply by paying a sixty dollar fee. Thus, you get a whole lot of people, Just overwhelming space, without a lot of decorum. Overall, I've been in much better lounges, and I've been in a lot worse lounges around the globe. There's not much to complain about this place, you just have to expect that there's gonna be a lot of people. I have seen it at times midday, when people can't even find a single seat to sit in. So, just keep this in mind.
