It was so hot and fresh and perfect. I also met the owner Nasser and he was awesome. I love this little gem in Jefferson Park neighborhood. I hope they expand to more locations in the city. Would love to be able to have their food delivered in Logan Square. You can also get their food delivered on all the apps.

It is a casual somewhat "fast food" style restaurant where you order at the counter. I came before dinner time so the place was relatively empty. I ordered the Combo Plate #2 which included grilled lamb kabab, beef kofta and chicken kabab. The combo came with a Jerusalem salad, house salad which was essentially a cucumber salad, pita bread and rice. Overall, the flavors were generally all there. The only issue I had was with the preparation of the chicken and lamb. The chicken was overcooked and dry. It is as if they had cooked the chicken kabab and was refiring it on the grill to order. The beef kofta was fairly tender and flavorful, but the lamb kabab seemed to lack the distinct gamey lamb flavor that questions the quality of the meat. The combo plate is a hearty portion so you certainly won't go away hungry. Overall, for the area, Falafel Dream should satisfy any Meditereanean food craving. I haven't specifically tried their falafel, but I would be cautious if they are made beforehand rather than made to order. If you have ever had authentic Middle Eastern food, this doesn't really quite hit the bar. It may cater more to the American taste preference. Service was average. Prices were reasonable. Parking is very limited.

Having a sudden taste for Mediterranean food, I decided to try this highly reviewed Snack & Shrack…read more It was well worth the trip. It is located in an L-shaped strip mall with easy parking. I had the Beef Shawarma Plate, falafels, and lentil soup. Ordering at the counter was easy. The shawarma plate comes with rice, house salad, hummus, red cabbage, pickles, and tahini sauce which is great. There are other possible sauce and topping additions or substitutions, but I went with those. It was delicious and filling. The lentil soup was tasty and freshly made, and the falafels had the perfect balance of crunch and softness. I took half of those home with me. Although size prevents it from being a complete dine-in experience, I was quite comfortable eating at one of the small tables available for those eating there. A gentleman who worked at the 7-11 in the same plaza, stopped in to eat as well. He had a tasty looking wrap. The guys behind the counter spoke back and forth with him, so it was obvious that he is a regular customer. It's nice that he can grab a nice, quality lunch so nearby his workplace. The service was quick, the food terrific, and the prices reasonable. I highly recommend.

While waiting for our food to come out they brought us some lentil soup to try which was so sweet. The food was delicious and we both highly recommend. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the yogurt drink. We thought it would be more like a vanilla milk and it tasted like seasoned sour cream. But we've never had that before so we have no idea what it's supposed to taste like!!! Highly recommend coming here otherwise

I went in tonight with my mother, my sister, and children (12, 2, (was sleeping) & infant (also…read moresleeping). My sister called around 6:30p to confirm if they were open, and they said yes. We got there and it was completely dead and we proceeded to sit down to get a table. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the tension towards our family of being unwelcome. Because my family wasn't the usual demographic that walks in there, they refused to service us. I have eaten here at least 3xs since they have opened and supported this small business before I had more children. My children were not and are not the kind to kick and scream in a restaurant and are well behaved. Again, they were sleeping, and even then it does not say anything about children unwanted if that is the case why they were unwilling to feed paying customers. (Tacky if you ask me. Who doesn't appreciate business?) After this experience, I will never even bother to try and eat here again. Honestly, with that kind of attitude, it's only a matter of time until that "restaurant" closes down. We also passed by on our way home from eating at another restaurant and it looked more than half empty.
