When I saw the Oakbrook Center mall directory, I was stoked to see Paper Source and that it was open until 9pm on a Monday evening. I naturally had to come in to check out the selection. It's dangerously addicting and it was hard to control myself from wanting to take the store with me. I came in wanting to see what I can get last minute for others but ended up spoiling myself -- self care, right. I found a cute journal that's good for up to 3 years, and it's a daily question you answer about self care which I think is truly necessary in these trying times. I can use some daily affirmations, and then I found these cute narwhal pens so I had to get them too. The staff were friendly and available as needed. I love that I wasn't upsold anything, I wasn't followed around, and I was given the space to do my thing. When I had questions the two ladies were more than happy to assist me, though they couldn't find an item I was looking for, I still appreciate their efforts and how they worked together. It's one of the better experiences I've had in person at Paper Source. I also wasn't pressured to sign up for anything. I do have to say that the Paper Source location I've been to in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood does have a bigger selection than this one. However, the brand and this location is still pretty consistent, it just doesn't have everything and if they do it's in smaller quantities. I have since probably purchased over 20 Jellycats from here, it's my favorite way to do so because I love supporting a local business and this shop is genuinely just the best. Outside of Jellycats, I've gotten Hello Kitty Blue Sky Ceramics, an Allen designs clock, Christmas ornaments, a lazy Susan, and baby gifts. Although I don't live in the area, anytime I'm out towards Oak Brook I ALWAYS make sure to stop by Fairytales to see what's new. Unfortunately due to the immense popularity of Jellycats, their stock has declined significantly which is a bit of a bummer, but it seems to be out of their control from my understanding. Everyone I've interacted with here has been incredibly sweet, I've done waitlist orders (I was able to get the large snow dragon jellycat this was as well as some of the rare Christmas ornaments!), and I've done a few online pickup orders as well. Each time my items are packaged beautifully and I feel so special walking out with the super high quality, beautifully branded Fairytales bag. Downtown Lombard truly has a gem, if it was closer to me I'd frequent a lot more, but it just makes my trips even more special when I do get to stop by.

You can order them from the Uptown Shop. I just got a box in the mail. Flavor-wise it's REALLY CLOSE to the original (they had to reverse-engineer it because the recipe was lost after Elmo Lanzi passed on & production of the candy stopped).
